For me it is better to ban these advertisement so that there will be less victim of these scam ICO projects,if these ICOs will be all legit that would be fantastic or we need some escrow so that the hunters will get paid and these investors wont get scammed by these greedy people in our forums,we should have a better enviroment.
It will only help to fight the scammers in our community,so its not too bad to have some restrictions especially for these potential scams.This will lessen scam projects in the long run so it is really going to do the opposite of what you are thinking,these ICOs need some regulations that is why these big companies are starting to do something .
It maybe can lessen the scammer ICO but it also going to affect the legit ICO, so it's a big disadvantage moved for the crypto users, I know that the google want to prevent some people falling into scammed but stopping all the ads doesn't seem a wise move, maybe provide people with some warning and legit link to do the research is better than banning all the ads
Google wont ban users from posting and sharing cryptocurrency related,because they will only restrict these ICOs from being accepted in their paid advertising program and it doesnt mean that users will get ban if they promote ICOs in their own will,google only wants to protect people from potential scams just like what facebook did.
This is indeed right,facebook are not deleting users that are promoting ICOs in their personal profiles,these companies wont get your freedom of speech but they will restrict these ICOs to be in their advertising platform,i see positive impact to the bounty hunters because these ICOs wont get anywhere but here in bitcointalk where they will get promoted.
Not now , starting from June . I also doubt it will be totally banned , I think this steps is a some kind of regulation , which will force ICO's or those who whant use google advertise for crypto to get some license .Let's wait to see how exactly it will work

Well this might be a good thing those scammers wouldnt have exposure in the public so less noob people will invest to these scam ICO projects.It will help our community to eliminate the scammy ICOs in our environment and only those legit ICOs will have some chance to get promoted in our community especially in bitcointalk.

That is annoying, none could have expected such a news from the technology dependent giant Google a ban on the promotion of cryptocurrency and related activities. I think they might have found cryptocurrency to outlaw their growth through the innovative technology that is backing the entire system. Hope, bitcoin will overcome this issue at the earliest growing toward the expected $20000.
Latest news isn't any good. Cryptocurrency markets are becoming increasingly distressed. Cryptocurrency developers and CEOs have come together to set up their own social media now. The new always beat the old one. As to how windows buried msdos dusty pages of history, iOS and android have done the same for windows. Isn't it time slam Blockchain's fist on the table? I believed this will affect the Crypto currencies market in which i believed that it already happening right now because google is one of the most visited and the most common advertising services in which it really help ICO to become more successful because of huge followers.
I'm not sure if this is the best idea really, where will they stop then if they get away with banning crypto ads.
What will happen when "real world" companies start accepting certain cryptos and want to advertise the fact, will they be banned also?
As much as they are doing it for our benefit so we don't get ripped off, everyone has a mind and if they blindly invest in these things then that is their choice, you can ban everything, you get those phone scams where people try to trick people into giving over their details or sending money, we can't go ahead and ban phones.

If facebook really did banned all of the accounts that are posting cryptorelated articles why theres still facebook bounty campaigns? it doesnt mean that google and youtube will ban your blogs and vlogsites if you are cryptocurrency related websites,they wont accept any advertisement from these ICOs this only means that there will be no ads with cryptocurrencies but you can still use your profiles from posting crypto related things.
Yeah, its purely an advertisement banned and I think not on your account because it is still happening on facebook to post about crypto related. Well, this might have an impact on cryptomarket but I know this is just part of the reaction of big businesses who feel threated by digital currency.
You guys are funny,if this is really true it wont be a big problem because normal users will still be able to post and promote these ICOs the only ones that will be affected are the ICOs which are using google paid advertising program but the users which has cryptocurrency related blogs and channels can still promote these ICOs without any problem.
What a bad news. I think this is the most effect thing to the whole crypto market at the moment. Maybe the whales are trying to take advantage of these bad news to collect lower pice crypto from panic sellers that why the whole market is painted in red, at top 100 on coinmarketcap, it's really hard to find out a crypto has green color

This is not good news for the crypto community. But I don't think this is the main reason why bitcoin is tanking.
Might be a good thing because these scam projects will have less chance of getting noob investors,less advertisement will be less chance of getting scam especiall those people who arent aware that these projects are going to steal their money.So it might affect the legit ICOs but in general it will help our environment to eliminate these scam projects.

they may not be doing ICO assholes any favours, they certainly are helping out their users. imagine how much smaller something like bitconnect would've been without advertising. maybe not small enough but perhaps the spread would've been slowed before it popped.
now all these guys will have to come up with quality projects that show up in actual searches. and there's still the PR angle which really doesn't seem explored enough.

Forums, porn, youtube or anything that is using their service will be gone.

Bitcointalk are growing massively so it means if all of these big companies will ban cryptocurrency ads,the only way that these ICOs will be promoted will be here in bitcointalk,social media websites if restricted the cryotocurrencies will be the hardest thing because our community will struggle to grow but there are so many alternatives in google ads so it wont be a big problem.
