Government and other traditional businesses trying to "kill" cryptocurrencies by banning. Well I think word of mouth is still the best form of advertising, as long as there is social media (even without paid ads), crypto will grow.
Phising sites isn't a problem for me, because we as a person who uses our personal computer should be liable for the safety of the web accesses most of the time. We couldn't stop those phisers to attack us by means of sending links which fall us into trap, but one thing I am sure of is we should make the security of our devices or gadget stronger. Everyone should have the reliable antivirus that can detect intruders which may enter our privacy, so you will have a hint of not clicking or doing an access of your personal keys like mew access. Advertising might be prevented if you have strong security in your system.

Are you sure you are in the right thread?this is about he youtube and google banning for the ICO advertisement and crypto related ads,i didnt read anything about the phishing sites here??Back to the TS,it doesnt mean that google and youtube will ban all those bloggers who has the crypto related topics in their blogs and youtube channel,users can still promote these ICOs in their own will but they wont ban your accounts!

This is not necessarily a bad news, since some of my friends have lost all their Ethers and altcoins due to clicking the phishing sites promoted by the all-mighty Google. Just read about it here:

Wont be a big problem for the normal users,those ICOs who are using google's paid advertising would only be affected because they wont longer be accepted to the advertising program of google,youtube has been partnered by google so it means both google and youtube wont allow cryptocurrency related advetisements .
If facebook really did banned all of the accounts that are posting cryptorelated articles why theres still facebook bounty campaigns? it doesnt mean that google and youtube will ban your blogs and vlogsites if you are cryptocurrency related websites,they wont accept any advertisement from these ICOs this only means that there will be no ads with cryptocurrencies but you can still use your profiles from posting crypto related things.
I don't think it's a definitive statement by Google. They have probably in mind a step-wise solution to reduce some interferences or scams, but I don't think this can entirely erase the crypto community, more than ever crypto channels on YouTube. That would be crazy.
The hard times have come, now even advertising good projects is a complicated business that will also be blocked. I put so many reviews on different projects and offers from bloggers with investing money in projects, too, will be blocked. Year of the dog brings us a lot of pain, I hope we can survive it.
LOL do not spread FUD,google and youtube will only restrict these ICOs to use their paid advertisement progream like what facebook did and it doesnt mean that they will remove or ban blogs and youtube channels that are cryptocurrency related,because that will be unfair ! did you get banned from posting ICOs in your facebook account? NO because that isnt against facebook terms and conditions,google and youtube too.
yeah. goole AdWords and Facebook Ads banning cryptocurrency advertisment in their platform but i think its not a big trouble, there are many advertising platform. so its time to move from fb ads and adwords
Do not panic guys,they will only restrict those ICO to use their paid-advetisement program,and it doesnt mean that they will ban and remove youtube channels and blogspots if they are crypto-related ,you can still use google and youtube as usual but these ICOs wont have chance to use their advertisement programs,google is only protecting noob investors from getting scammed by these scam projects.

Too much scam and consequent pressure ba regulators. Maybe the future of tokens will be a future without promotion, like stocks. At any rate, how will ICOs be promoted from June on? Any alternative strategies?

All this looks like a planned attack on the crypto currency. I am amazed at the impudence with which it is done. No one remembers freedom of speech and freedom of choice. On the other hand, such a reaction shows a huge fear of the crypto-currencies from corporations of the "old" world.

Yep I think Google is actually scared of that, and they are trying to prevent having a rival search engine that wouldn't be owned by a company but by the people.
When there is a real competitor, then Google will reflect.

Dont be stupid,google and youtube will only follow facebook's regulations which will limit those ICOs to use their advertising program.It means that users will still be able to use their channesl to promote ICOs in their own will,but these ICOs wont be allowed to use the paid advertising program of google which is called GOOGLE ADSENSE,this might lessen the chance of these scam ICOs to scam noob investors so it still a good thing. 
Now there is a very strong campaign to exterminate advertising in social networks and search services, I think that there are a lot of services. I think that it's time to do a decentralized search service that would belong to people and they would control what to look for and what not.
Only you tube channels that are used to promote crypto might be shut, but giving an honest personal opinion or view on cryptocurrency is very allowed,it would be a major blow however if such was to happen
Why would youtube block cryptocurrency videos? People making videos and having users watch them is how youtube makes money.
