Yeeaaah gonna need some elaboration on that one.

Wait, you don't even understand how this process works?

Ohh God, we're all screwed.

This is the perfect way to fake a raffle (I'm not hinting in anyway at all this is the case)

The first 4936 tickets have 27,303,493 chances to win.  The rest of the tickets have 27,303,492.  Very small but a slight bias towards the earlier tickets.  To be even the max valid random number is 40270 * 27303492  - 1 = 1099511622839. Just exclude numbers larger than that.
All I have to say to this..0xFFFFFFFFFF you... (thought someone could make a math joke in the thread that wasn't also a math fail...)

The official block to determine the winning ticket number will be 171,450.

Still needs to be confirmed some more to avoid the chance of a blockchain reorg, but I think we have our winner.

First ticket 0; Last ticket 40619; total number of tickets 40620; for those with the same spreadsheet as me.
last-10 of hash: b7514187e3
http://we.lovebitco.in/lottery.html: Winning ticket number 11131

Calculator Method from page 3:
Verify the block hash from two independent sources (ideally one being your local blockchain),
Open Windows Calculator. Select View->Programmer. Select "Hex" radio button,
Paste last 10 digits of hash into calculator (b7514187e3),
Press "Dec" radio button to convert to decimal (787342264291)
Press "Mod",
Enter number of tickets (40620)
Press =
See winner (11131)

The winner is on spreadsheet line 36:
11045-11244: c267a549d21a37b371b8d4fa5b944d55bd5624dfcc735f4045031fd53a640bff

I will shoot myself if astana, dareq or some other scammer ends up winning this.

What will happen if that is the case?

Uhh, obviously I'd send it to the winner regardless.

We would then have their shipping address and other personal information, and it would be winrar.

But what about the BFL Single? Will they receive that as well

or one of these? painted balck of course with just the red nose LED-ed

Also, we'd never know it was them.

as you're going to be doing future raffles ( BTL Rigbox FTW  Tongue ) maybe have a look at how Bitlotto match their punter's bets to the winning number drawn from a combo of a specific blockchain & some specific date mega millions type lottery's winning numbers

Thats the Spanish "thing"?

Did we ever figure out what exactly it is and what galaxy it came from?

EDIT: looks like it isn't what I thought it was, but I did find this, which is interesting:

My money is on it being a botnet.

EDIT2: The owner of this shouldn't be too hard to track down:

Why is this even discussed?

Because the last 3 blocks are taking forever.

Matthew: Is the Single turned on? Smiley
hawhaw. Nope. It's boxed up and ready to be mailed. Sorry for making the blocks come slower. Sad

It's not your fault. Our friends in the the rogue silent Dark Energy pool (85.214.124.168), who refuse to put any transactions into their mined blocks, are taking their sweet time. They did get blocks 171447 and 171448, though.
