Hey, it's working.

I tried these settings.

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
COLOR 0A
vertminer.exe --scrypt-vert -o stratum+tcp://gpu.oakpool.com:3355 -u j23a.1 -p x -I 12 --thread-concurrency 6000 -d 0 --

gpu-platform 1 -w 256 -I 13 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 900 --thread-

concurrency 8193 -g 2 --auto-fan --lookup-gap 2

I just changed the memclock from 1500 to 900

I'm getting 132 kh/s, and I imagine that's low for two 290x, but I don't care. I'm just glad it's working.

Thank you for everyone who helped. I honestly truly appreciate it.
Someone may have already asked but how much dram memory do you have installed? Also try removing the -d 0 tag from your config file If you have onboard graphics go into the device manager and disable it uless your using it to run your monitor.

I have 6 GB.

Edit: I thought  you said Damn Memory. But I have 6gb of ram, and plus what the 290x has, which is 6gb in all I think for two.

Ive struggeled ALL day with different miners and other poblems regarding NFactor and scrypt-jane. Everything resulted in a driver crash, black screen, BSOD etc.. you name it
I then tried different types of drivers and versions which also didnt help at all. I have 5 R9 290 running in two machines, one with 24gb ram and one with 6. Both ended up with the same problem whatsoever.
I came to a conclution that ive been pushing it too hard... you might try this

I am not "leaving" any planet but what planet are you living on? really!! the amount of people mining this because of one store against all the stores in the world and all of you seem to think that this one store will be able to supply you all and take your coins as payment. because newegg and all these other stores MAJOR online retailers all over the world have no pull? because this one store is about to be the only supplier of amd cards and you will not be able to find an amd card in any other store anywhere! 90% of miners are probably mining this right now in the hope that they will get a gpu for free. where in the line do you think you are?

has anyone setup a blockchain explorer for the coin yet?

Block Explorer right here..  http://explorer2.sancrypto.info/chain/GPUCoin

Well the launch is going as planned.. we had wanted a mining start of +1 day from when the wallet was launched, and it looks like we are about to achieve that.

The only risk now that something "bad" would happen at block 2600 would be  from the separate build procedures, that were done by hand, between:

   - seed node (what's on the dnsseeds)
   - windows client (what most people are using)
   - pushed to git (what pools are using)

All completely as separate operations.. instead of 1 atomic build procedure.  It's very remotely possible that there was some files not being used correctly i all 3... since i used ftp , gitpush and separate ways of getting the code around for all those various builds.

But the last thing i changed was the genesis block.. so if i did make a mistake, nothing would have worked.. so it's unlikely that something in GetBlockValue high would be different between those 3.. that function was not the last one changed.

Unfortunately i haven't figured out gitian based cross builds yet.. at some point the next coin will have to use that for proper release procedures from linux..

Anyways.. soo.. i don't think there will be a problem Smiley

Awesome work BTW micryon. We all appreciate the work you have put into this coin, even if it is not said very much!

That was one of the few remaining hurdles to being listed at major exchanges, and being invested in by outside money as well.

@ waltsmith

How many people all over the world will be mining for this coin in the hope that they will get a gpu from it? and where in the line of back orders do you think you will end up?
You're not locked into buying GPUs. You can always trade for BTC.

At this point, questioning the CEO's business acumen is not something we should be doing. He has shown very good business sense up until now. Crypto-savvy? He admitted he is just starting to learn. Business acumen is not questioned tho. Most people on this forum are getting pretty crypto-tech savvy, but commodities trading and simple business principles seem to be the major sticking point. There are more grammar nazis on this forum than savvy day-traders and business people.

And yes, trading for BTC will be part of it. How else will a non-miner get a value card for GPUCoin to start mining with?

Anyone see any faults with my logic please correct me. That's the way I see it and thats why I invested in the IPO here and not over at the crappy Heavycoin thread.

@ MrE78

the things is if like all other coins once it hits the market it will be at a high value but after a couple of days that value will decrease and continue to dos so. just like every other coin. because there is another coin coming out every five minutes at the moment. specially now with the markets doing soo badly.

don't you get it? This coin can be different. Market will drop? Of course. But as long as everyone mines, and saves coins for a card/gpu, or other product from the store, the price will stabilize and find its place in the world. Not die, like all the new shitcoins coming out every day. Only one dumping coins in large quantities should be the CEO, to buy more stock for the store. This coins success could start a new trend that is the point of all cryptos, not a quick buck, but the ability to use the coin to barter for real world products and services.

waltsmith

Another very important point here is that the dev and CEO have not retained ANY of the premined coins unless they also bought into the IPO. All premines are going to IPO and bounties.

Seeing some potential in this coin, mostly due to scrypt-n design. Mining right now and hoping some good things come from it.

trade for btc when value is lost becuase of all the back orders? there is already a shortage of gpu's in the world this coin is not going to magically make more appear than the factory's can output!
Then don't mine the coin if you're that concerned.

In case anyone is trying to figure out the settings for the R9 270X, here are mine:

Code:
"powertune" : "20",
"intensity" : "13,13,13",
"api-listen" : true,
"auto-fan" : true,
"gpu-fan" : "20-90",
"gpu-engine" : "1020,1020,1020",
"gpu-memclock" : "1250,1250,1250",
"shaders" : "1280",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"thread-concurrency" : "6720,6720,6720",
"temp-cutoff" : "90",
"failover-only" : true,
"temp-target" : "65",
"log" : "5",
"queue" : "0",
"scan-time" : "1",
"expiry" : "1",
"gpu-threads" : "2"

It gives me around 200-210 Kh/s per card

cheers
You getting any HW errors with those setting? The reason I ask is your TC seems very high.
