This is probably a better question in a different thread but...
Anyone with 7870's and/or the nice gigabyte 280x's please share your thread concurrency (tc) and intensity? I've been trying everything it seems, just wondering if anyone found magic.

For my Asus 7870's I'm using tc 2048 and I 11 or 12, getting about 120-130 khash which feels about 50 low.

For my gigabyte 280x (rev 2, the new black one) I'm trying all kinds of the recommended tc and keep getting hw errors. 8193, 4096 mucho hw errors and few accepts.
Any ideas?

Just came back from trying my GPUs on my other computer, and even though vertminer was running on that computer with integrated graphics, it didn't work with my 290x's.

Really disappointing, but it looks like I won't be mining this coin, and I don't know why. Had been really looking forward to it since it was announced weeks ago. Guess I will be buying it.
Have you tried a complete driver uninstall/reinstall. (Just using the uninstall program that comes with the driver is not enough)

I actually reinstalled the whole operating system. But did use my old SDK file, since I knew that one worked perfectly with my other miners.

Installed AMD SDK?

I did. Sad I'll try installing the latest one, since I installed it in December.

wow bittrex is slow, it won't even load the market pages. Is it getting DoS'd?? I hope they fix it

www.atomic-trade.com/ has GPU/BTC pairings has since GPU launched don't go to bittrex they paid the devs to be able to list it which just means they are desperate.

At least Atomic trade is a legal US business and no you do not need ot be verified to trade on the site unless you want the USD pairings

It's a big SCAM! Why don't the creators of this this coin set a price for the gpu's x coins before they hit the exchanges that way the value of each coin is already set. think about it for a minute... price per coin already set and when it hits the exchanges no problem. otherwise we are mining for what? they could end up telling us you will need ten thousand coins for just one 270x where as I'm only mining 5 coins a day with 3x 280x's. I don't get. or is it only me that see's this?Huh  Huh

Wut?

I'm pretty sure they will follow whatever the market price is. What you are saying makes little sense, if they set a price, the coins will not move in the market.

Market will dictate value ofthe coin not the devs doesn't matter what they say, also you will be mining a lot more then lthat soo nenough.

Now a smart miner would want to hold the value around 1 dollar a coin so they can mine moer coins and get more gpus for mining rinse repeat. However since most people only want a quick buck the price will drop and in two weeks it could take 1 million to buy a gpu or could take a billion which no one will have. Even though there are billions of coins all it could do is force inflation on the value of BTC making it rise against the gpu coin. SO long as people want to buy  GPUs with it.

So again smart thing out the door everyone would need to hold the value around 1 USD +- 5% or allow a natural rise.

Comapany would have to sell gpus against the USD for the coin real simple.

do you not see the last pages saying the same about 5 coins a day.....in 570~ blocks the full reward per blick kicks in your coins a day will go from 5 to 30000-300000 for example just be patient this is like starting your car and running it for 5 mins before going driving. block 2600 is full rewards!!

Anyone know what the n-factor is set to?  Is it 11 like vertcoin or something else.  Only asking since the newer sgminer that supports n-scrypt now allows us to set it and I would like to have it match.

yes, same algo as vert, so, set n=11 in sgminer fork

You can try this (msi r9 290x gaming), working on vertminer 0.5.4-pre2
"intensity" : "13",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "512",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"thread-concurrency" : "14081",
"shaders" : "2816",
"gpu-engine" : "1030",
"gpu-fan" : "0-100",
"gpu-memclock" : "1250",
"temp-cutoff" : "95",
"temp-overheat" : "85",
"temp-target" : "80",
"api-mcast-port" : "4028",
"api-port" : "4028",
"expiry" : "10",
"log" : "5",
"no-pool-disable" : true,
"queue" : "0",
"scan-time" : "5",
"nscrypt" : true

Must add, (but this can be due to the riser), you can get crash from time to time other than that no hardware error, average hashrate 391.9khash/s
