Developers should stop taking investors as fools, you cooked your project up to your taste and everything seem fine enough but because you are too greedy and can't take your eye off DeFi success you decide to switch your project to DeFi. Seriously are investors stupid enough to go along with your obvious trick? To all developers who are doing this, it's a complete slap to your faces, you guys should be ashamed of yourselves.
This is another reason not to hold DeFi projects for long term purposes, they will died when you least expected, many of them are just taking advantage of investors because they knew every investors want to make money out of DeFi projects right now, I don't blame the project team but the investors who failed to take their time and do some deep research on the projects first.

Some are doing worse. Like Kper dev have done. He minted more token for the first time and dump the whole market and then he again mint more tokens to get some extra eth from the market. This is the proof: https://etherscan.io/address/0x7A250D5630B4CF539739DF2C5DACB4C659F2488D   It's become very hard to trust any new project now. Any project with an anonymous team always looks suspicious to me.

I remember few weeks ago when kucoin was hacked, smart investors came to understand that many DeFi projects are just for mouthing sake, nothing but empty promises, after kucoin got hacked majority of DeFi projects that got affected started switching there smart contract, what is that to you? They ruin the word 'decentralized' instantly without thinking twice.

Changing use cases out of a thing air will ruin the project and the team reputation, this will instantly reveal that the team are just bunch of money grabbers, its like changing a decentralized project into a centralized project, this isn't right.

I don't buy the idea of switching from a purpose of creating your project from the beginning to another just because the another is attracting many investors, that really shows the real color of the project, it means that the purpose of creating the project from the beginning is to grab money from investors.

I guess not all projects have greedy developers. First of all sometimes we also have the key so as not to be fooled, we need to be critical of the projects to be joined we should not depend on the promises of the developers so it is only right to be smart in choosing to avoid being fooled by real greedy developers.

I think not all developers are with like this mindsets, however it is not appropriate for developers to say that they are greedy towards investors. Maybe some might be like this but not as many as what we think. Developers only think for the best of their projects corresponding their investors.

But in defense of investors, I will say - there is such a project-long - term construction - Radix. The developers went the easy way, added the word Defi - but they did not manage to collect the desired amount.
So investors are already thinking.
Only greedy people and beginners who want instant profit, carelessly use their funds for investment without thinking. Meanwhile, experienced investors who care about their funds will not be easily hooked by just the title "DeFi", even though defi is very popular nowadays. There are potential defi, and some are not, it can be known by in-depth research. At least, by doing your research beforehand will reduce the risk of getting caught in a scam. A fake project on behalf of defi aims to lure both beginners and investors who are FOMO.

So, a wise investor must not only expect big profits but also pay attention to the safety of the investments they make. Moreover, the crypto world is very difficult to predict, if you only rely on luck you will not be able to survive.

I am generally very surprised when I see what amounts are collected by dubious DeFi projects.

The bottom line is that in 2017-2018, no one would have invested 1 Ethereum in a project where the site does not have information about the team, links to github. Now they see the word DeFi - throw in a cutlet of money.

But in defense of investors, I will say - there is such a project-long - term construction - Radix. The developers went the easy way, added the word Defi - but they did not manage to collect the desired amount.

I think they are not greedy, they just try to find a way how to get interest of people in cryptocurrency by following the trend.
Although the method is not quite right, maybe it has got some attentions of investors which is better than got nothing.

To get people interested in cryptocurrency, it is enough to create a good and popular project. However, many developers collect money at the beginning on their promises, and most often they do not create anything. Did Nakamoto raise money to create Bitcoin? That is why everyone respects him, and does not like greedy developers.

scammers are born of such people, we don't know a good project to invest in crypto world, because there is no legality to show,
and there is no regulation, this makes new projects very easy to make their own tokens, we as investors must be careful,
follow the telegram channel that talks about new projects, or maybe you can buy an altcoin that has a good background

I think it's rather a slap on the faces of investors because investors are the ones who get cheated out of their money. What you talked about of certain projects hooking up a DeFi piece into their White Paper so as to get maximum patronage even when their projects have nothing genuinely related to DeFi is true. These scumbag developers know it's not that easy understanding the confusing world of cryptos and that not too many people actually do due diligence before investing their money on any project (even those who do, truly may not even actually understand deeply) so they latch unto this to deceive us. Till date, not many even know what drives the DeFi projects. Surprisingly, I have heard this type of confession from tech savvy guys here. So, a below average guy investing in cryptos truly needs luck to succeed in picking out viable projects to invest in.

I also hate it when project developers act arbitrarily after they have successfully completed their fundraising target. There are even who stop deploying or suspend their projects for various reasons and run away with investors' money. They are really greedy and irresponsible.
It is true that project development is controlled by the project itself, but every investors are entitled to enjoy the investment returns that they have promised, without any reason.

It is rare that project developers respect bounty campaign participants. All this is because we do not conclude employment contracts with them and they always write that they can change the conditions of the bounty campaign. It is very good that there are not so many deceivers among the developers. Once I was deceived with the timing of payments of coins. They were transferred to me after the price of the coin dropped dramatically and I earned 10 times less.

This is the reason there are a lot of new projects out there.

There are a lot of greedy crypto developers out there, making these projects for these investors to bite them and then just live them there hanging without making any developments and let it die and worst, scam these investors. This is the reason why a lot of investors stopped and just focus on cryptocurrencies that could give them future profits.

Those who buy tokens of new projects at the ICO stage or pre-sale stage are ordinary speculators. We are not investors. An investor is someone who receives a stake in a campaign for their money. We usually only get tokens. That is why we are not investors.

I can name one of this, it's Emirex I just received a newsletter coming from these people that they are adding DeFi features in their platform, now that's taking the success of DeFi into their platform, they have done everything doing massive promotion launching a lot of contest but still this exchange cannot take off, be careful of this exchange, they are profit driven and will take any opportunity that comes along.

you are not an investor
you just bring money to the project
the investor is the one who signs the investment papers
who has the right to make decisions on the project until the investors have the right to change the development team
the fact that in the crypto market we are called investors
 we did not become them
