What I think is that these developers are basically doing it because they totally know that they can entice many big investors to invest on them, like I said in a previous thread, their marketing campaigns are probably the best in the world making it seamless, flawless, and convincing. Once there are many investors in that project the developers will suddenly do a dick move and create a totally new project that is unrelated to their main one and leave the investors hanging. I mean it is really not a good thing, conning the investors like that.
There is no reason for the project to change into a defi project because not all defi projects are success.
Maybe the team changed it to defi and hoping it can brings more people and investors to their project.
Better to stay focus on main purpose of the project than change it to a defi project.

This DeFi project hype is just like the ICO project hype back in 2017 that not all of them became successful due to a massive number of scams. Hence, it's useless, and developers shouldn't assume if they need to change their project into a DeFi project to gain more investors in their project. But sometimes, focusing on your main goal in your project could be ignored by some investors because most of them only focus on the trend, so it might be the reasons why developers are making this kind of reckless decision to turn their project into DeFi.
This is indeed a nasty thing by the project owners and they should be careful as this can damage their reputation as well because the top serious investors do keep each and every aspect in mind and not all investors can be fooled by the team. So if they will lose serious investors then they will more in loss than profit.
Yeah they are considered ruthless that even bounty hunters had been fooled like collecting a small amount of fee to process the rewards like wtf? Are they really serious why there is a need to pay to process the bounty rewards? Now, it seems that they are restless creating more crypto projects inviting investors to invest in their project. I think scam projects had been identified already by tagging some of it in the bounties altcoin section where warning had been visible in top of the bounty thread.

If a dev just suddenly decided to change an already functioning project from the current nature to defi, such should be avoided because clearly it shows the dev does not have any direction except chase after any available trend that will fetch quick money, i don't think it will be that easy to change a project concept, goals from one day to the next, defi is not everything, it is about making a change or a difference with your project.

Yes, but in this case of course the project team knows the direction better, because basically they also want to make their project fully successful so they are willing to make minor changes for the progress of the project which of course does not escape their main goal. This has been happening a lot especially the month, many developers that change their projects to the Defi project are doing so to make them look promising and this is because of the hype of DeFi project.
Meanwhile not all the defi project that generate income. So if you found any project change, this should give you a sense of scam which means they don't have focus.

correction has always existed in the crypto world the market is falling because of the defi hyipe but it won't be for long the evidence can be seen that market conditions have started to turn green, I am sure the situation will continue despite the slow movement
I keep thinking crypto assets should like gold have some negative beta like relationships to the market. However, more often than not they seem to move in tandem.

Ofcourse the crypto developers are getting greedy because they found that investors are lost their mind due to defi hype so they also trying to get into the trend and make something out of it, I will say they are smart but one who are investing on such projects are the one to be blamed because they can easily find what is the real intention behind the project then why they have to invest blindly.
I would be interested in seeing an investors guide to defi on traits and things to look for. All it would be nice to see some more sophisticated reporting on what the major projects are and what is happening in the space. It may help to take out some of the wild wild west feel out of the space if there was some official third parties reviewing and reporting on it.

it is what it is, they want easy fundraiser and easy money by making a defi project. they are using and following hype trend to make something so they look like they are not outdated, i don't really like the developers that only follow the current hype trend for an easier path, i consider those projects as a lazy one because they only want to make easy money

Defi at the present time now, no doubt it is very trending now. Some of the popular influencers in the society made a video and uploading it on Youtube and other to say that defi is a good one to choose. But to be honest other's said was true that not all coins in defi can give a nice profit in the end, it is still good to trade in cryptocurrency of course.
It happened, I've heard that the old project was revived by the developer using the Defi strategy. this can easily attract market investment, in fact investors have switched to investing their money in the Defi project. I don't think this is a good choice, I hope you need to avoid this kind of project.
Yes, because reviving a project that has died through a new system is a very risky thing, so if investors can believe in a project like that, then they will unconsciously experience huge losses in their investment. Jump to:
