Developers should stop taking investors as fools, you cooked your project up to your taste and everything seem fine enough but because you are too greedy and can't take your eye off DeFi success you decide to switch your project to DeFi. Seriously are investors stupid enough to go along with your obvious trick? To all developers who are doing this, it's a complete slap to your faces, you guys should be ashamed of yourselves.
I was feeling the same and if you look at the bounty section as well there you will see a lot of projects suddenly started using defi alongside their campaign to lure more and more people to participate. It is certainly strange and just goes to show that people behind these projects want to cash in from defi trend.

This is like running behind where the success or money seems to be. Its more like following the trend and out of those developers many would want just to make short term quick profits and will make money and will go away. They are not the ones who would want probably their coins to exists for say couple of years or more. And just in between if Defi goes down so they also will again move out of it and will change their mind again for sure.

Look at this from the Dev's side.
The Defi space is where the focus and capital is going.  If you can take your project and put it there it is more likely to be successful.

it's no use. developers like that will always exist. what's even more saddening is the fact that some people are still buying their tokens so they keep making more money from fools. stop feeding them and they'll die, that's the only way.
I don't think they are stupid for that, it's just that they don't know much about that kind of developer, if only they knew that the developer was useless, then those people you call stupid wouldn't buy that useless token.

I think so too. A developer shouldn't be that unstable and always changing mind like that. They are responsible for what they offer in their whitepaper and whitepaper should only include finalized idea of what they are proposing not switching around just because the other side is greener. This also shows a sign that the developer don't even consider their project good enough to be invested so why should people bother invest to that project.

They are only thinking how to make money but they don't have any good ideas how they can make their project to be successful  in long term.
They are only thinking for short term goals and their  target is those greedy persons that also looking for short term investment that they can make them rich. We should stop supporting a project that only looking for money, investors should always think before supporting any one of it. in that case those greedy developer Will stop making it if there are no more people would be invested for th project they want to create.

I was surprised yesterday to see one project which aimed to use blockchain technology to foster education, so that educations documents and materials can be stored on the blockchain which is immutable, to start mentioning DEFI on all tweets and medium articles just to cash up with the hype. I really like the DEFI concept but most developers are abusing it, how can a project focused on education or sports switch to DEFI? Let's be careful please.

Investors are not so stupid to follow the obvious scam project but when you were asking them all directly and they will say they wanna try to make instant bucks from their money and that's why they were taking the super high risk project like ponzi finance project. You can't call them who created those scam ponzi as the developers but they are all scammers.

They know what they have already created and their intention to grab money.

But there are investor's that are fools as well but wise devs.
Sometimes it ain't up to the project itself as well as the scams. Sometimes it is up to the investors themselves that feeds these scammers as well even if it is visible to the naked eye.
Just seeing the trend DeFi these days, makes investors that every single DeFi project is legitimate.
This is just the same mindset on post-ICO days after IEOs took over.

Developers who jumped into the wagon of DeFi are those who wanted to take advantage of the current trend thinking that the project will cater interest and have more value.  Little that they know it is the accomplishment of the project developer to deliver the roadmap is the most important part.

For me shifting to trending stuff like DeFi is just like a money-grabbing act of the project developers.

What do you expect, it's one way of many to raise awareness and they want to onboard into the DeFi hype train it's just like this in every aspect of business. That may be greedy indeed in the eyes of many people
but a failing project that has no fund raised is as good as nonexistent. Although I hope that the devs will think twice before making such transition and stick with their ideal because that's what make a project unique.

when I see that an existing project starts talking about the transition or implementation of Defi, I feel it as a scam or an opportunity to draw attention to their project.
It seems that another very big problem awaits us all due to DeFi projects, as it was a few years ago with ICO projects. In addition, the excessive inflation of DeFi tokens has become very noticeable today, and the fraudulent actions of some of the developers, which you have already mentioned, can greatly harm the industry or destroy all trust in decentralized finance altogether.

If greedy developers are becoming unstoppable, and so with fool investors too. People keep on buying tokens even without making a background check on it and so they end up losing. This cannot be stopped easily because greediness of a person will always be present and once people keep on feeding them, they'll surely continue their wrong doings.

Yup, greed is everywhere, believe me now new projects are popping up so quickly and the shocking thing is that they are selling their tokens without even a whitepaper and website, the situation just shows the craziness in the market, people are just after buying to get quick profits and they are not even bothering to check the authenticity of the project at the moment.

Yes, chasing the hype and fomo of the defi trend is not good especially when a project was initially planned to be something else.
I think community here should name such projects and list here for people to know about the projects taking advantage of the sitiation.

It takes two to tango, if there are no investors that just invest without doing any investigations and unfortunately fall for the developers trick then this will not end, it's going to be cyclical, cause and effect. So what lessons do we learn? don't be a stupid investors, do your own research and probably when there are no dumb investors, maybe we can see crypto sphere improving that much.

Exactly! There are scammers because there are users that continuously patronize these projects. If there will be no naive investors, this DeFi hype will die down naturally. Just like ICOs, since projects can't raise anymore money from this crowdsourcing because they can only get to small number of investors to none, you will find very few ICO projects nowadays. So once people realized that this DeFi hype is just another scam in the making, sooner or later, this hype will soon disappear.

I didn't even think if they will stop it when investors are still become very harsh to believe the awareness that has already created. I have told them all so many times but they are still believing on the crap project that created by the scam developers that much more greedy than the bankers.

What you can do to stop the scam developers to create more and more scam coins when investors know how to avoid to bed on the scam coins.
If that will not work not work and the scammers will always create scam coins.
