Is there any danger i I get 2 separate psu and connect each to one of the PCIE connectors?
I did this with a gpu rig back in the day, read some warnings about it.. but worked out ok for me. I however have no clue how it'd work here.
the m board shorts the two connectors, so you would end up feeding one PSU with another's output. Generally this is a very bad idea, but almost all modern power supplies hadle it very well.

Different PSUs for different GPU's are safe because the power supplies never get fed by one another.

It must be something related to power ... !

If I down clock all boards to 52 and remove overclocking ... i get all boards hashing stable

as for 3 slots per bank, i beleive its related to the 30A limit of a texas instruments chip mentioned by intron a while back. Its got 10-14 pins and there is 1 per bank. Most likely it simply cannot handle more then 3 overclocked cards or 4 cards at 25GH
Sorry, but I think I have to correct this: of course every H-board has its own 30 A voltage regulator to produce the ASIC core voltage from the 12 V. This does not happen on the M-board!

damn I did not get lucky with 5 Hboards got here yesterday and one of hboard DOA already and 4 others hashing about 20 minutes then drop dead to 0 hashrate.   I hit stop then start working again.  look like 4 Hboard very nice but all chips drop to 0 hashrate and anyone know what is going with these Hboards?
Check PSU - I had the same situation. Start with 1H board. Also put this dead one as only one to see if its really dead!

I had run v1 hboard work good but new V1 any of them will drop dead for one hboard only.  I am using Corsair AX860 High Performance 80PLUS Platinum Certified Fully Modular 860 Watt Power Supply.

Is there any danger i I get 2 separate psu and connect each to one of the PCIE connectors?
There is a little danger of blowing the PSU, if the PSU are not synced. I did that for a few days, but it's best if the PSU are from same manufacturer and are turned on simultaneously.

agreed. there could also be backfeed between PSUs, where even if one was turned off, it would have a live 12v line to its components due to the other psu, and this could cause any manner of problems (ranging from nuisance like fans/leds staying on up to component failures/magic smoke)

my understanding was that somewhere in the system is a 30A limit. i dont know if its per card/bank/or the entire m-board. if it is for the entire m-board though: 12v*30A = 360W + 20-50% overhead = ~500W max (if overclocking to ~35GH/card = ~45w/card, you might be limited to about 11-12 cards)
however, i am entirely guessing and spitballing numbers based on all forms of annecdotal info. intron would probbaly be the guy to ask/PM about this.

Could this be because they don't get enough power? .... damn should i change PSU? Im absolutly unsure where to start ...

On paper your PSU looks fine. I'm guessing that you're using the two non-modular pcie connectors to power the m-board. If the PSU manufacturer is to be believed then these are on different rails, which should mean that you have up to 80A to play with (960W at 12V) before it cuts out. Unless I'm being an idiot today and not using my calculator right that is Wink.

Eliminating variables has been the biggest difficulty for me all along too. Sadly I dont have any good advice to give on that.

... Im pretty sure thats the problem ... if i remove 2 cards all my banks get much higher hashrate and ... also the filled ones ...

Do you got all banks filled ? ...

How about the other banks ...

That is the only full bank I have, the remaining ones have 3-2 cards.

Can you please post the log file of these chips? It would be helpful to mod the chainminer software.
Also what voltage are the cards at? Thanks
Sure.

I dont/wont measure voltages, as it requires disassembly and has the accompanied risk of breaking stuff, I dont have very steady hands, sorry.
The resistances on R02F's vary between 1.67-1.62k Ohm.

as for 3 slots per bank, i beleive its related to the 30A limit of a texas instruments chip mentioned by intron a while back. Its got 10-14 pins and there is 1 per bank. Most likely it simply cannot handle more then 3 overclocked cards or 4 cards at 25GH
I'd like report the contrary, this is my most stable bank:

Do you got all banks filled ? ...

How about the other banks ...

Can you please post the log file of these chips? It would be helpful to mod the chainminer software.
Also what voltage are the cards at? Thanks
