Hi Mat would it also possible for you to send me some guide regarding with 2 rx570 i'm just starting to try mining here from my place and upon reading this thread i find it very interesting to begin with your guide, kindly send me some basic ideas on how this device works correctly and stable, thanks in advance.
Sure, but I don't really know what you mean by guide? This and and bios mod guide are the only I've made so far.
What miner you want to use? I can advise you with config. Send me an e-mail [email protected]

would you be able to get Rx580 8gb cards to 900h/s, stable with low power consumption?

My Rig with 6 Rx580´s doing ~4400h/s with 600watts from the wall, using xmr stak amd

Hi,
I have RX580 to (sapphire nitro +).
There bios are modded for ETH, and they give me ~30mhs in ETH.

But for XMR I can't get more than 600mhs !

What are important parameters to mod for increasing my XMR hashrate (GPU freq, MEM, timmig, ...) ?

Thanks in advance

With SGminer maybe... 850-900H/s with low power consumption, it also need good config.

Thanks for guide! I got this xmr stak running too, I just need to figure out why my computer randomly reboots and if i can improve on hashrate. Currently running (2) MSI 470 (1) ASUS 480 (1) XPX 480 and (2) XPX 580.
Too low voltages or you got memory errors.
You can mod the bios: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/guidetutorialxmrethhow-to-mod-bios-rx470570480580-vega-mining-1954245

According to your latest message, I switched to 17.6.2 and changed the clock to 2050. Now, I get around 715.

I adjust power limit just not to throttle GPU.

Anyway, thanks for the help.
If you don't have any HW errors you can OC more.

This is an amazing guide. Thank you very much for sharing all this.

As I see, no one shared detailed configuration settings for their rigs and I wanted to share what I achieved.

According to your guide, I modded bios of my 4 x Sapphire 4GB Hynix RX470 OC cards with easy way. After that, I tried XMR-STAK-AMD miner and my rig reached 2787.7 H/s. Eash card is getting around 695 - 698 H/s

I'm using Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition Beta for Blockchain drivers.

My Msi Afterburner settings are :

-84mV GPU Voltage
+50 Power Limit
1100 MHz Core
2000 Mhz Memory

My rig is drawing 500W directly from the wall. (The whole system.) I hope these stats help someone on this forum.

The question that I would like to ask is;

Am I using the right driver version for XMR? Do you have any driver suggestions? Can driver affect performance for XMR? Can these cards achieve 800 H/s with another configuration?

I have 30 RX cards and I just tried these settings on 4 of them. Rest of my cards are mining ETH. If I can get more 100 H/s per card, that would be amazing.

Best wishes,

You don't need to use blockchain drivers, I have 17.6.2 and WattTool is working like a charm. You may need better timings, but also conf file would help you get better hashrate.
Why you adjust power limit when you undervolting? Also you will have better hashrate when you OC memory more, but check for memory errors.

I'm glad it's working for you. I'm not sure what I've sent you, so contact me via e-mail I have new config file about week old.

Your guide is very helpful and full of information, thank you so much for posting this, i can understand this more than other guides on how to mine alts.

Trying Sgminer-GM on my two rigs.

One of them works like a charm, the other one fails to start. The window closes right after it tries to load the config file.

The two rigs are identical 7x RX 570.

I don't get it.
Put in your bat file "pause" at the end of it. It shouldn't close.
I didn't have problem with SGminer 5.5.5 only the one from Nicehash. With right config it has best hashrate but I really don't like the look. XMR-STAK can do almost same and those web stats are just awesome.

Found it.
Needed to put gpu-platform "2".
Go figure.

I am using sgminer-GM as well and having stability issues with it mining XMR on one rig with 4 gpus mix of RX 470s and 570s.
I have clocked down core and mem so it is mining at ~3000 H/s.
The next thing I will try is to add  this to the command line
sgminer-gm ....  2> minerlog.txt
to see if it puts something in that log file before it crashes.

From github.com/xmrig/xmrig :
Quote
"Default donation 5% (5 minutes in 100 minutes) can be reduced to 1% via command line option --donate-level."
But I agree this behavior of the miner is suspicious
Yeah it's weird. I've added that info into XMRig part.

Added XMRig to CPU XMR miners, thanks antantti

Looks like a 5% dev fee unless you compile it yourself.  Also this https://www.reddit.com/r/MoneroMining/comments/6tycc1/warning_xmrig_transmits_your_wallet_address_or/
