Just want to share my experience for a week ago.my wallet was hacked  by a poor hacker  in my opinion because in my wallet not more than $200 and the hacker was hacked only $80 when eth for the gas  transaction was run out.very so sad when we waiting for the best price and i will sell it but it was hacked

There is no such thing as a poor hacker you are just lucky that he left you something maybe he just pity you or just in a hurry and don't want to add funds for gas because he can hack another account that's your consolation still giving you a portion of your funds.

Maybe you are hacked using Phishing site or you entered your private key to a form when doing a bounty, you learned a lesson don't trust all the website you enter and don't expose your private key, $200 is a huge amount of money.

Or maybe he saw you have $ 200 in the account and decided that you are poor and did not want to steal all your money Tongue. Maybe he was waiting for you to sell the coins profitably. In any case, what hackers do is very bad.

I feel sorry to hear your loss guy, but fortunately that hacker is not too bad because he’s not stolen all in your wallet. This is the first time I’ve heard such a interesting phrase “ poor hacker”. This small loss is probably a good warning for you, because I think from this experience, you will be more careful and cautious about your wallet in order that you can defend your wallet better. Almost all hackers are pretty active and flexible, if they keep an eye on your wallet, definitely you are in a bad trouble, so be careful dude.

You should report this to police and expect them to recover funds from your wallet. In some cases, they have got success with this.

Basicly scammers take the most luqid tokens and no matter how much it worths. It takes 1 minute to open your Mew with private key and send all tokens to a new address.
Don't blame on him, better improve your security

Maybe this hacker wasn't poor at all? Maybe it was a polite hacker that just borrowed some of your money. Exactly as much as he needed. Not more.

Next time beware of your wallet and also take care your wallet so that you may avoid those hackers. It's not a poor hacker or a big one because you was hacked a $80 although it was a  small amount only but what if you hacked a large amount of money so better to take care of your wallet and also your private keys.

I do not think it was hacking. I remind you that phishing and other methods of extracting personal information are not hacking, this is just a scam/fraud. I think that there was a mistake on your part.

There is no such thing as poor hacker even if they did not get a lot of your wallet that does not mean that they were not successful. Just the fact that they got into your wallet shows that they know what they are doing and will be able to get into someone else's wallet. It sucks to be hacked so be thankful that they did not make off with too much of your coin

Hackers are the cancer of the crypto. They are earning the biggest income by far.

I hope a better mechanism will be there to put them into the jail.

How do you know that they are earning the most in this market. I think only a small number of all hackers can earn, and of course they earn a lot from scamming users from the ETH wallet.

On the internet, there is almost no one whom I can trust. It seems everyone will take chance if he gets enough power. That's why we need to be more aware of this kind of stuff. Otherwise, we will lose huge because there is a huge smart hacker over the internet.

It is unexpected and sad thing. You should take a necessary action. You were a millionaire here but suddenly you would have lost your money. No matter how much money you have already lost, you should change the wallet and other act soon to protect your money

Sorry about the hack, but you should be more careful with your PKs in the future. Also make sure the websites you go to are real to avoid Phishing...

And about them being poor, they'll take whatever is in any wallet. Whether they're rich or not.

Several days ago 65 million worth coins were stolen from the exchange.

I seriously doubt in claims like that when exchanges publish them. I think they just are avoiding paying taxes, and easiest way is to claim that someone hacked you and stole everything.

That's was weird story for me because the hackers have already access to your wallet and i was wondering why they or he has not took all of your ETH but hackers is hackers that they are just like a disease virus for cryptocurrency and whatever amount they stole but you should more carefully next time because this is could be an important experience for future reference

So you assume the hacker was poor based on the coins he stole from your wallet?
If you had 1 million ETH,the hacker probably would be a rich one. Grin
I'm sorry that you were hacked, but the hacker's wealth doesn't matter. All the hackers are kinda "poor".If they had a stable legit income, they wouldn't  deal with scamming people and other illegal stuff.

Exactly! The OP was trying to downplay that he got hacked. I bet the post would sound different if he had 1 million ETH hacked.

seems lack of money is truly the root of all evil ,you are very right ,I'm sure if he have more than that in his wallet then he would kiss his ETH goodbye ,my advice is if he still have funds left in there he better move it to another wallet and stop using the old one.
