You actually called the hacker a person because he stole only $80 from you right?. Had it been you have more than that in the wallet he will equally take all. What you need to do is to use a more secure wallet and don't expose your private key so that you won't be hacked anymore.

The most important thing is to understand how did you got hacked and avoid that kind of behaviour in future.
Check if you did some of following:
  • Did you go to MEW by using some link? (always type webapge address of MEW manually or use bookmark)
  • Have you installed software form unverified sources?
  • Have you pasted your private keys on unsecure webpage?

Second, remove all of your ETH to another wallet because hacked wallet is still compromised, and the rest of ETH can be stolen too.

I imagine being a hacker if he finds in your wallet millions of dollars, it's like getting a treasure.
immediately change your wallet or directly recover wallet data by changing the password, change email or whatever

Just want to share my experience for a week ago.my wallet was hacked  by a poor hacker  in my opinion because in my wallet not more than $200 and the hacker was hacked only $80 when eth for the gas  transaction was run out.very so sad when we waiting for the best price and i will sell it but it was hacked

Well, it has become an experience that is important to you, and it's possible that your personal key has been known by someone, so move all the altcoins that you have in the new wallet. prioritizing security for all, especially for hackers in phishing methods

He cracked your wallet so he is probably done that many times and will be doing that a many times more, so I dont think he is poor. He is maybe cheap sob but somewhere he scores high somewhere low, point is that we are too vulnerable!
With how he did that, he can possibly do it with much higher stake, the hackers who already got a chance to crack some wallet will keep doing it again and again till they got something big and really worth to invest their time and effort, its really disappointing when things didn't comes up good when you are waiting for something then it's been hacked not because the amount is not that big but the time of wait and your expectations is really frustrating,.

maybe the hacker just used your eth balance to send token and because you don't have enough eth the other coins are not send out. and the hacker did not want to send eth to your account to send out the other tokens that is left. so the hacker did not lose anything but instead you are the one that lose some coins. this hacker maybe poor or maybe not but he/she is smart enough to hack you. so be careful next time to avoid being hack.

$200 is not a small amount for a hacker to take, there are many that just try to sell stuff in the market place for $15 each and find as many victims as possible. If he or she can get $200 from 10 different wallets then it can all add up. Just ensure you protect it as best as you can

Funny dude, the reason for the hack was to steal from the wallet in first place man, that's the reward for his so called work, anyway this means something to you, it seems your data is no longer safe since he got access to your private key, even your mail am sure he can hack too, it's obvious you didn't store this security information properly that's why he gain access to your wallet.

It would be easy to hacked all those coins you hold by sending ether on you digital wallet. Well good thing that hacker did not even bother to take all your coins in your digital wallet maybe for some reason he has a lot of digital wallets to hack and do some trasfer of coins to his/her digital wallet. Good for you also that you were not able to be emptied by the hacker.

You should be careful with hackers who can steal your property. Hackers are more careful because their money is more sophisticated. I put my money in carefully-secured wallets.

Maybe you should be grateful because not everything was taken by the hacker. If everything was taken by the hacker you might cry of your losses.
Or maybe the hacker will come again to take the rest that the hacker didn’t take before. So be careful because the hacker know your security key is easily hacked by the hacker.

Being hacked on a small scale,  i think you got lucky as the funds stolen wasn't much,  but i guess you much have discarded the wallet. Well i experienced being hacked on an exchange because 2fa wasn't enabled,  the hacker used the eth on the account to buy a shitcoin he had placed on the market at a very high price, placed the coin on a sell at a very low price,  he did that until both the coin and eth was lost.... Aparently he was controlling another account with which he used to place the shitcoin on order at high price.... Genius but it pained me

be thankful that your wallet has a small amount of altcoins, if the hacker see a lot of worth altcoins in your wallet, he will actually make an effort to take all of it. maybe the hacker disappointed with the amount he might get in your wallet that's why he didn't take all the altcoins in your wallet.

Sorry that you were hacked, it is always hard to lose money that you were hoping to get. i would not exactly say that it was a poor hacker though, there are always test runs when they are hacking and if they managed to hack your wallet then that means they are going to be successful hacking and taking out money. They were just being careful not to get caught

I don't know how you conclude that the hacker is a poor one, there are a lot of hackers who are making fortune from hacking if the one who hacked you is a good one he should have made a fortune, it is my believe that hackers do not want to be trace so he just want to get what he can get out of that wallet.

Disappointed situations, why does people have this intention with others. So as good one be careful in typing or double check your address before you click to aware of hackers.
Recently Gagarin is becoming more sophisticated and there are many ways to steal your personal data. In any case, you need to be careful when entering into your purses crypto-currencies.
