What wallet was that? You probably used a phishing link or downloaded some suspicious software. Hacking a wallet isn't easy and a hacker needs some help from you to be able to pinpoint your machine. It's like looking for a specific grain of sand on a beach. Be careful your PC may still be exposed (it most likely is) and if you transfer more money to your wallets it can be stolen again.

That's right, it would be better if you will create a new wallet since it was hacked by someone or a program. Yes, OP might entered his/her info in a website thats needs wallet address(mostly for phishing attempts or airdrops). We have to be extra careful when it comes to our crypto as people nowadays will do everything just to steal or earn money from someone.

Well, it is not mandatory that the hacker is poor. You think that the hacker hacked your yourself by handy but I can suppose that you was hacked by a program I mean something like a trojan horse or other type of a virus. I am sure that the hacker did not  hack specially your wallet he was likely received the requisites from your wallet from a special virus program which hacks any wallets if it can. Having the secret requisites from your wallet the hacker just steal such an amount which it was on your account.  So the hacker may be not poor as you think

Just want to share my experience for a week ago.my wallet was hacked  by a poor hacker  in my opinion because in my wallet not more than $200 and the hacker was hacked only $80 when eth for the gas  transaction was run out.very so sad when we waiting for the best price and i will sell it but it was hacked
We cannot say he’s poor maybe hackers still thinking about the owner of that wallet. You still get hacked, that’s the point here so next time protect your wallet at all means. Hackers will find ways to come with us, we must be ready for that so we will never become a victim.

Maybe he/ she need of 80$ alone. You are lucky at this time. You have to shift your coins from your that wallet to some other wallet. This is my small suggestion.Because they can easily hack your wallet in mere future. So the coins in your wallet is not safe from my knowledge.Don't delay for long.Who know he may encounter his second attempt by tomorrow .You are in near danger state.

This is most likely the reason he got hacked. It's difficult to hack most wallets, for you to be successfully hacked, you would have given the hacker the tools he needed to achieve his nefarious activity. And it doesn't matter whether the hacker is poor or rich, fact is, if he had more than that, he would have probably wiped him empty and he ends up loosing a lot. People just need to be more circumspect with their activities online as hackers are always on the prowl looking for some loopholes you've created.

I will assumed it's not ETH that is hacked but rather tokens. Looks like the hacker isn't interested in some of your tokens. Maybe because of exchange issues.

But anyhow, the issue here is your poor handling of your important belongings. You are being outsmarted by that "poor hacker" , it's a big slap on your face.

Next time take care of your important belongings so that you will not be proned to hack especially in crypto world.

Well it is never a good thing to get hacked, you need to try to figure out how the hacker got access to your wallet and you need to prevent that even if the amount of money that you lost was small you can not let this happen again, what it's going to happen if you really become successful in this market and then all of that is lost because the hacker stole your coins from you? Second about your assumption that a hacker was poor, it seems irrelevant, but you must not assume that if the hacker is able to steal 80 out of 1000 people then now he has 80000 and that is not a low sum.

You must be thankful because the hacker didn’t get all that $200 and instead of being angry you should be happy and celebrating.hackers don’t care ho much thy might get but its on how they got your money
If i were you transfer that money to other wallet for safety

Hackers are always looking for ways to take advantage of someone else's network, for example if we do not secure our wallets they will rob our wallets and specialize in our tokens as their property.

wait for a very unfortunate thing, my question is how can you get hacked, do you enter the phishing web or you accidentally give someone your privacy key. next time you have to be more careful with what you save because in an advanced technology world like this people will be easier to take or steal your money

He is a good hacker who sets aside a portion for you and I don't think he cares about what you have because you have very little value, maybe if you have a lot of ETH in your wallet, hackers will not be responsible for taking everything from you, so be careful Be aware that anyone can be hacked if they don't take care of their wallet properly and properly, hopefully it will be a lesson for you personally.

hmmm I don't understand why, maybe he just took something that was easy to resell therefore he chose eth to take and left another coin coin, because in my opinion there are some coins that are not too selling in the market

A hack is successful regardless of the amount stolen. Perhaps that hacker is not poor or something but a newbie or sort, got very nervous and didn't bother to look at the gas transaction and immediately press send transaction. So let this be a expensive and hard lesson for you, probably you got phished or something and next time just be careful. Your $200 can be $1000 in next couple of months so its really depressing to see you lost that money.

Maybe they have certain purpose. But stay be careful. That is warning for us and you. We must be a smart person. Maybe that hacker isn't hack you only. Imagine if they hack 1 million people and send their money to one address and sell it for personal interest.

Hackers will always be a hacker, of course mostly hackers are poor from the start because they want to become rich quickly. This kind of situation should not be proud of, we must protect are wallet at all time in any cost. Hackers will stay in this market for good, that is why we need to work harder on making sure that our wallet is really safe.

No matter how you put it this kind of experience is unpleasant. I think that they should stop doing this. It is hard work to steal money from people. You have to work fast, hard and in condition of stress.

So you assume the hacker was poor based on the coins he stole from your wallet?
If you had 1 million ETH,the hacker probably would be a rich one. Grin
I'm sorry that you were hacked, but the hacker's wealth doesn't matter. All the hackers are kinda "poor".If they had a stable legit income, they wouldn't  deal with scamming people and other illegal stuff.
Yes, I think hackers who hack tokens at prices that are just under $ 80 are very bad. if the hackers have the skills and are not too poor in my opinion, the marus they steal tokens whose nominal is above $ 1000

Ha, ha, funny story.  Grin
But maybe he wasn't poor but he didn't want to steel everything you have so not to leave you without funds.  Wink
Seriously, some hackers don't care that much about the money and they are not so obssesed how much will they steal but they want to show they can do it. Sometimes this could be their reference for some more serious "job".
But you should take this as a warning that you are vulnerable and that your wallet isn't protected enough. Don't let this happen twice.
