Lots of cases are when people have been hacked or the exchange. To my mind the rules of using the wallet should be followed strictly, because some people think that this time everything will be ok and just forget about all the preventive points. But not only because of hacking there is such a situation on the crypto market like we have now. Too many scams, too many teams that do nothing in order to develop their projects and so. All these factors have general impact on the situation.

I've heard that hackers have a place of their own to sell their assets but I do not know is true or not. However Iam little confused,if the hacker such as the case of computer Viruses in the last year, this could give the negative  and postive impact also.

Hacking is one of the biggest obstacles to the cryptocurrency market.
1- Ever been hacked?
2- Lost your coins in an exchange hacking?
3-Did the exchange pay you back for lost coins?

Please share your story, and give some TIPS on how to avoid being hacked.

I have experienced several bottlenecks on transactions in several exchanges. but none of them disappeared. especially in trusted exchanges. I think this problem has rarely happened.

No im never. Its very important to discuss. The more  higher value of btc or altcoin then the will be a lot of people crazy treasure and want to rich quick in an instant. In case where your asset is,offline wallet still the best. Last month I was using MEW to save assets but now I use Metamask. A lot of scamer or hacker spread the link phishing via email,we should be careful and not careless. A lot of genesis coin in MEW who is suddenly stolen people,if you've that experienced it's a good idea to replace the wallet and move all the assets intonew  wallet. And for being hacked in the exchanger if it's a huge market and has a good reputation of course they will try to repla ce the assets of the members. This eer hapened in the japan exchanger and make btc value keep going down.

The hacking skills of technologists basically, i feel is to curtail attacks from those who might want to disrupt the steady flow of the technology through protective measures and also considering the challenges or blind spots that the intruders will or may want to intrude through. in summary, hackers in this technology are supposed to be there to help the technology grow by being protective and not attacking its users but then the recent attacks have proven that they are not in that shoe and that has reduced the users strength and participation in the technology and that is  a 'no no' as it kills the confidence in the technology.

hacked sometimes makes us panic,so i have not faced such a problem. Take your coins immediately to your personal wallet after the transaction is correct.

Losing coins when exchanged or when a coin in a wallet is lost in hacking, of course, this is very disappointing. A lot of hacking happens on Cryptocurrency and this makes us have to be careful and smart to choose projects. And we should not be easy to believe before we do a re-examination.

I have never lost any cryptocurrencies because of hackers, but I know their threats to me! So the internet I use for trading is usually not used for any other purpose! Includes browsing websites and playing games!

Recently, there's another news of a hack, this time the target is Gate.io

https://www.cryptoglobe.com/latest/2018/11/gate-io-exchange-suspends-tracking-service-on-hacking-threat-no-damage-done/

So this will have another negative connotation for everyone. Specially those traders who lost their funds in the said attack. Its sad but I do hope that this kind of news will not deter investors and traders to try their luck to gain profit in this market.

so far I feel safe and lucky not to meet with hackers. hackers are very bad crypto to give effect. When it's too much and it often happens then will arise distrust will crypto and certainly could kill the market. Although already a risk but this would make the market becomes bad and full of instability. just be careful alone is not enough to avoid the hackers had in crypto.

Had a strange accident when my Poloniex account got hacked long time ago. It was 2015 I think. I saw that one of my coins had been sold for BTC and this sum (around 50 USD maybe) had been withdrawn. I wrote to support and they told me that my email could had been hacked. Then I checked this and showed them that my email was alright, nobody entered it from any other device. They agreed and restored my BTC balance. I was surprised they did it so easily Smiley

No. 2, i almost lost my coins on an exchange back in early february this year. Fortunately i managed to move my coins before the hack was happened on that exchange a week later. It's much better to save your coins in hard wallet like nano ledger or trezor if you can afford it.

on average these hackers will steal assets that are on the exchange and I am still curious how that can happen because the security data is only held by people who are on the exchange but can be stolen, until now it seems almost the average hacking assisted by company people to be able to access traders' data.

No, it didn't happened to me.

Those hacks are the negligence of the exchange if they were infiltrated by an hacker but if a trader lost his funds through his accounts then its his negligence.
