Announcing another integration with the Hash Auger API. PG Miner Bench is an awesome new automated benchmarking and tuning utility for Nvidia GPUs. Instead of tediously testing various combinations of overclock settings manually, simply let PG Miner Bench find the optimal settings for each GPU and algorithm. PG Miner Bench can then copy those overclock settings to Hash Auger via the API so that they will be used automatically as HA switches work.

T-Rex 8.6 has been released with faster hash rates for some algorithms, however, it also breaks dedal and x21s. Therefore, this version of T-Rex will not be included in a final release of Hash Auger to prevent anyone mining with either of those algorithms from accidentally installing it.  HA users who are not mining with those two algorithms and would like to use T-Rex 8.6 can download the 2.8.8 beta at: https://hashauger.com/downloads/HashAugerInstaller_2_8_8_b1.zip

Hash Auger 2.8.7.3 has been released to update CryptoDredge to 14 (adds support for Lyra2v3 algorithm plus improved hash rates for skunk and x22i).  It replaces SubscriberPool with TechnicalsPool since that pool is re-branding.

Hash Auger 2.8.7 has been released with the following enhancements:

  • Updated Z-Enemy to 1.27 (faster hash rates for x16, hex, bcd and other algorithms).
  • Removed myr-gyr and blake2s from default algorithms. Lyra2v2 and Equihash are now disabled by default due to low profitability when mined by GPUs.
  • Improved compatibility with pools that use CloudFlare.
  • Improved support for lyra2v2c0ban algorithm and the c0ban coin.
  • Added support for solo and party mining on Gos.cx
  • Improved 7z compatibility on some rigs that were having problems.
  • Streamlined installer by unbundling some utilities and only downloading them when needed.
  • Added new Discount Large Price Swings pricing option for most pools to further reduce the likelihood of switching work due to unprofitable price swings.
  • Added Allow Mining at a Loss option to the device Profitability tab to have the software continue mining on GPUs set to profit-based switching when all estimated profits are negative. When used, the software will try to minimize losses by selecting the most efficient miner/algorithm combination.

Hash Auger 2.8.6.4 has been released to update T-Rex to 8.5 (faster x22i hash rates, plus fixes the RTX performance regression). It also adds GPUHot to the pools that do not auto-exchange. Users already using Hash Auger 2.8.6.x can do a config file update from within the software rather than a full update.

Hash Auger 2.8.6.3 has been released to update Z-Enemy to 1.26 (faster hash rates for several algorithms; removes Renesis algorithm support).  Since Renesis is an inactive project that is being removed from some mining programs and pools, it has been removed from the default HA config files. Anyone wanting to continue to mine it using HA can add it to the user-defined config files as described in the wiki.

Hash Auger 2.8.6.2 has been released to update T-Rex to version 8.4 (faster x22i hash rates). However, this version of T-Rex is not recommended for users of RTX GPUs as it may result in reduced performance for some algorithms.

To download the latest release of Hash Auger, visit: https://hashauger.com/download.html or users of 2.8.6 can download the latest config files from within the app.

Hash Auger 2.8.6 has been released to add support for the ZHash (Equihash 144,5) algorithm on NiceHash. It also re-enables support for Phi-Phi pool now that most connectivity issues have been resolved.

Full list of changes:
  • Re-enabled support of Phi Phi Pool and its new US and EU servers now that connectivity issues have been resolved for most algorithms.
  • Added support for the new ZHash algorithm on NiceHash. For consistency with other pools, it is called Equihash144 in Hash Auger.
  • Added support for Gos.cx server regions.
  • Improved compatibility with MinerMore pool.
  • Removed several pools that are no longer online.
  • Streamlined the in-app update process so that the installer is run automatically after downloading the update.
  • Fixed issues involving filtering of benchmark data when some mining programs could not be downloaded.
  • When run in silent mode with the /S switch, the Hash Auger Installer will now automatically launch the software to streamline deployment to multiple rigs.

For anyone wanting to mine the new Ritocoin, Hash Auger 2.8.5 has support for T-Rex 8.3 that includes the required x21s algorithm.  Blockify, Gos.cx, HashFaster, IceMining and PickAxe.Pro are some of the supported pools currently finding blocks.

Hash Auger 2.8.5 has been released to update CryptoDredge and T-Rex to their latest releases to support a few new algorithms such as dedal (Numus), pipe (UOUCoin) and x21s (Ritocoin). Once Rito officially launches, HA users should be able to mine it on Blockify and gos.cx. Users wanting to mine UOU can add the coin's official pool as a user-defined pool.

List of changes:
  • Hash Auger no longer downloads older mining programs by default to streamline the setup process for new users. Existing users are unaffected and new users can edit the packages.json file to have the software download these programs.
  • Benchmark information is now filtered to exclude entries for mining programs that have not been downloaded and those miners are disabled in the Benchmark Utility.
  • Updated CryptoDredge to 12 to support the new dedal and pipe algorithms.
  • Updated T-Rex to support x21s.

The latest version of Hash Auger can be downloaded from: https://hashauger.com/download.html Alternatively, existing users can do a config file update to upgrade their miners.

Where is the location of the Logs directory? I don't see one in the install folder also if you don't mind sailing the high seas you could test hash auger in windows 7 that way

While I sincerely want to help resolve the issue, as a software developer who makes their living from writing code, I am not a fan of that kind of workaround.  Plus, there is the practical matter that most copies acquired in that way are riddled with viruses and other malware - not something I really want to risk on my dev machines.

There should be a Logs folder in the data directory (C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\congeriessoftware\hashauger) regardless of the install location. If the Logs directory does not exist, then the software could not write a logs file, which may mean that the app is crashing due to a permissions issue accessing the directory within AppData.  You may want to verify that the hashauger folder in AppData is not marked as read-only.

Even after a few re-installs to different locations/drives it still gives me the error I've checked the Static Data folder and all 6 json files are all there I've also reinstalled/ran with my AV disabled to see if that would help and
it didn't seem to help as I got the error again still unsure as to why it crashes

No one on the Discord has reported a similar issue and I am unable to reproduce it on my rigs. The only other time people report a similar issue is when they try to run the software on a version of Windows other than 10.  If the correct version of the .Net framework is not available, a different error message is usually shown instead.  However, you might want to verify that .Net 4.7.2 is installed on the rig. If it is, you might want to check the Logs folder to see if there is a debug or exceptions log file. If one of those files exists, I could use the information to better troubleshoot the issue.

Yeah it might be because I am running Windows 7 =P I should've said that earlier I guess

No worries. Sorry, if I had a copy of Windows 7 available, I would try to test and debug the issue. Unfortunately, the issue does not occur when running the app in compatibility mode on Windows 10.  There shouldn't be anything in HA that is Windows 10 specific, but obviously it is not 100% compatible with Windows 7 for some reason.  I am curious if there is an exception log in the Logs directory.  That might point me in the right direction of where the problem lies.
