I keep getting this error when trying to run hash auger even after a reinstall any idea of why it might be doing this? https://i.imgur.com/8nGJNWj.png

Sorry to hear that you are encountering that issue. That error message is shown when a problem occurs during initialization of the software; the most likely cause is corrupt or missing data files. You may want to check the install directory (the default is c:\Users\\AppData\local\congeriessoftware\hashauger for a directory called Static Data.  There should be six json files there.

If any files are missing, you should run the installer again and it will add the missing files.  However, if all the files are there or the whole folder is missing, you may want to uninstall the software and try installing it to a different directory such as C:\HashAuger instead. Some editions of Windows have a problem when using the default install location.

Regardless, let me know how it works out.

Even after a few re-installs to different locations/drives it still gives me the error I've checked the Static Data folder and all 6 json files are all there I've also reinstalled/ran with my AV disabled to see if that would help and
it didn't seem to help as I got the error again still unsure as to why it crashes

Hash Auger 2.8.3 has been released with support for T-Rex 8 (improved x16 hash rates and support for the new Geek algorithm).  It also adds support for an integrated proxy server to cache pool data when using multiple rigs on the same network. Users can now specify backup regions for pools such as NiceHash and ZPool that have multiple server locations and the software will automatically switch regions when communication errors occur. Finally, this release includes some API and web dashboard enhancements.

Full list of changes:
  • Updated T-Rex to version 8 (performance improvements for x16, new Geek algorithm).
  • Added a backup region setting to pools that have servers in more than one location.
  • The web dashboard now shows alerts for each GPU that is temp suspended, price suspended, peak energy suspended or benchmarking.
  • Added benchmark information and the ability to restart the software to the web dashboard.
  • Added the following API commands: CommandsAllowed, IsReady, RestartApp, SetGPUOC
  • Added a new API config setting to allow remote application restarts.
  • Per user request, the minimum switch interval has been lowered from 5 to 2 minutes. The default is still 10 minutes.
  • Added a new integrated proxy server where an instance of Hash Auger can provide cached pool data to other rigs running Hash Auger on a local network to avoid API usage limits on some pools. This proxy server only caches raw pool data, so each rig still switches independently of one another. Also, the cached web data update cycle is independent of the host rig's pool refresh rate to ensure that
each rig is getting the most recent data.

Hash Auger 2.8.2 has been released to support Z-Enemy 1.24v2. It also includes tweaks to the web dashboard to improve its use on mobile devices. Hash Auger can now send email notifications about rig and GPU errors. Also, there is a new earnings chart to show total earnings per pool for each of up to the last seven days.

Full list of changes:

  • Updated Z-Enemy to 1.24 (faster hash rates for skunk, polytimos, phi, hex, x16 and tribus plus more improvements for 20 series GPUs).
  • UI and content adjustments to the web dashboard.
  • Fixed an issue with GPU monitoring if a GPU is physically replaced in the rig.
  • Added the ability to export earnings data in an xml file containing the total earnings per day and per pool.
  • Added a new earnings per day chart to show total earnings per pool/day for the last seven days.
  • Added support for email notifications when HA is rebooting the rig due to failures or a failure is detected and HA is not configured to reboot automatically
  • Added two new API commands: Benchmark and SetBenchmarks.
  • The Benchmark Utility now uses specific algorithm lists for each selected mining program instead of benchmarking all selected algorithms for every program.

A new developers API reference has been added to the Hash Auger wiki: http://hashauger.wikidot.com/api-reference. Unlike other APIs that require users to know and use a specific programming language, the Hash Auger API is based on JSON objects that can be created using nearly any modern programming or scripting language. Also, all Hash Auger features - including the API and web dashboard - are available to all HA users at no additional cost.

Full list of changes:
  • Adds support for CryptoDredge 10 (faster performance for some algorithms and adds hmq1725).
  • The web dashboard and API now support enabling and disabling specific GPUs.
  • The web API now supports the ability to switch algorithms between any enabled pool.

Hash Auger 2.8.0 has been released with support for a new web dashboard that is available when the API is enabled.  Other API improvements include basic authorization using either a readonly or a full access API key.  This version also includes support for the latest releases of CryptoDredge and T-Rex.

Full list of changes:

  • Adds support for CryptoDredge 9.7 (x22i, faster skunk and bug fixes).
  • Adds support for T-Rex .7.3 (small performance increases and bug fixes).
  • Hash Auger now downloads Cuda SDK versions of CryptoDredge, T-Rex and Z-Enemy miners based on the device driver version.
Previously, Hash Auger used the Cuda 9.2 version of these and other miners. Existing HA users running Cuda 10 Nvidia drivers will
be updated to the Cuda 10 versions when they install this release. All other mining programs will continue to use Cuda 9.2 or lower versions until Cuda 10 versions are released.
  • Adds a new mobile and browser friendly web dashboard available at \dashboard if the web API is enabled. See the API Reference file in the Hash Auger install directory for more details.
  • Adds two API keys (readonly and full) to control access to the API and dashboard.
  • Changes to the API to improve usability with 3rd party tools.
  • Adds support for IceMining's new any cast stratum.
  • The number of decimal places used by a coin's blockchain API is now user-adjustable.
  • Fixes an issue with assigning CryptoDredge miner processes to individual CPU Cores with certain combinations of installed GPUs and CPUs.

Hash Auger 2.7.7.1 has been released to add support for CryptoDredge 9.5 (adds support for bitcore and x17 algorithms plus bug fixes).

A new config file update has been posted for users who are already using HA 2.7.7 which was released earlier.  Anyone using that version who has enabled the auto-update config setting should be updated in a few hours when the software does it next version check.  Those users running 2.7.7 who prefer to manually install config file updates or who would like to install the update sooner can download the update manually via the button on the Config menu.

Hash Auger 2.7.5 has been released to add support for the latest version of T-Rex miner (version.7.2 which adds support for sha256, timetravel and x22i algorithms).  It also adds the ability to ignore the GPUs' Price Spike Limit for individual pools - which can be useful to take advantage of rapid increases in estimates on some pools such as NiceHash while still preventing unprofitable switching on pools with less consistent and accurate estimates.

Full list of changes:
  • Upgraded T-Rex to 2.7.2 (adds support for sha256t, timetravel and x22i algorithms)
  • Adds support for elevated CPU processor priority for T-Rex.
  • Adds Ignore Price Spike Limit pricing option for pools to disable price spike limit filtering for some pools.
  • Improved handling of miners that spawn another process after they crash.
  • Improved handling of pool communication errors when using T-Rex miner.
  • UI improvements
