I see a lot of people here talking about gambling responsibly. Yes, that is something very true, but have you ever been a gambling addict?

I have never been addicted to gambling before. I do gamble just whenever I want, and I do gamble with a small amount, knowing that even if I lose, it won’t affect me in any way. That’s the reasons why I don’t win large amounts of money whenever I am gambling. Actually, some people are addicted to gambling, and they don’t believe they are addicted to gambling. Whenever you tell them about gambling addiction, they do end up getting angry, and they do claim they just gamble for fun and are not addicted, but from their behaviour, it’s obvious that they are addicted to gambling.

For every new gambler there comes a time when he becomes addicted to gambling. I was first introduced to online gambling when I was in college and since then I gambled little by little to save semester money or pocket money. At one point I felt like I was addicted to gambling because at that time I felt I should be gambling. When I didn't have any money, I used to borrow money from my mother for gambling and so on, but later when I finished college I realized that maybe I was going in the wrong direction, maybe I shouldn't be so addicted to gambling. Since then I tried to recover myself although it took me a long time to recover myself from that place but still I managed to recover myself. Now I gamble but not addicted to the tide but on my own accord. When I want to gamble I gamble, when I don't I don't gamble.

Can you finance your studies with gambling money? sounds good guys. I lost more than I won, that's what made it worse. If I get a lot of wins in gambling it might have a good impact and there is no need to stop gambling. May I know what game you play?

Yes, the most important thing in gambling is self-control. If we can do this then we will not get the negative impact of gambling

Addiction to gambling is a real issue that can have a negative impact on our lives but It can be really difficult to admit that we have had a problem with gambling talk more of thinking about how to improve our situation. Even if the amount of money you spent was not huge, it's clear that it had an impact on you emotionally and financially. But when talking about addiction, I think it's in double direction because for some people, it's when they lose a large sum of money and for some, it's when they see the impact that gambling is having on their relationships or their work life. A lot of us focus on the potential rewards of gambling without really considering the risks. It's widely believed that even when people win money from gambling, they often end up losing it all again. In fact, studies have found that the more someone wins, the more likely they are to continue gambling and the more likely they are to lose money in the long run.

The bottom line here is that it's not advisable to rely on gambling to finance anything important as education even if the odds is in your favor. The surprise of gambling always arrives when you least expect it.
A gambler has to learn a lot about gambling. Gambling is not that easy, maybe gambling depends a lot on luck but before luck we need enough understanding of gambling to gamble. But we have to see if we are choosing a right site for gambling.
If we don't have an idea of which team is stronger and which team is weaker when it comes to betting, will we ever be successful in gambling? I feel like I can never achieve any success. And whether we understand something or not, we have to have an idea of which party is strong and which party is weak. The word addict actually brings a bad thought to our mind because being addicted to something is not a good sign at all. Most of the new gamblers may be very addicted to gambling in the beginning and those who can come out of this addiction can find gambling as fun but those who cannot come out are always very mentally ill from this gambling addiction.

Well this is a question that is very clear and simple to ask, firstly as far as I am concerned my answer is no, and it is very easy to determine that it was not like that because basically when I decided to play dice, well I believed that I was addicted, I was addicted and no, it stands out that when I lost what I had, because if I no longer wanted to bet like I was doing everything, because I was using the martingale a lot, you know this is something that should never be done because basically it is done harm oneself for this reason I think I did not become addicted, because unlike many when I lost my money, it was very difficult for me to collect it again, because I think that is true for anyone, so in this order of ideas One must be very careful with this, there are people who do not care that they have lost their money, because what they do is start lending money and that is an indication that they are addicted, so that is what should be avoided. .

Now, in this order of things we have always seen that the best thing for these cases is to make it clear that we can make a difference, there are many people who can be very addicted and we can give them some advice, but in my case it was not So, I thought I was an addict, but my handbrake was money, after that I learned to play more intelligently, I knew that the value that has to be given to money is very big, if there is 1 usd You have to take great care of yourself, it's our money, it's hard to earn and you have to appreciate it, otherwise you can't do anything else but be at best like the gasoline that moves us anywhere, not only in the casino but in anywhere, with money you can do many things, without money everything is more difficult, I personally always see that playing in a casino you must do whatever it takes to save our money, to not fall into temptations and to be able to manage our money. budget to avoid falling into addictions.

Yes, money is earned and should be valued. Your experience with money loss as a 'handbrake' to addiction is instructive. It emphasizes responsible gambling, where one must always walk the line between fun and compulsiveness. Your statement about people easily borrowing money to gamble is spot-on. Addiction is clearly evident, a danger that needs more awareness. Your experience of learning to play smarter and value each dollar shows the necessity of financial caution in gambling.

Gambling as entertainment that demands fiscal management is a new perspective. Gambling should be fun, not a way to make money and risk addiction. Many can learn from this balanced perspective, notably how to value money and spend it properly in gaming and life.

That's why we need to understand and know more about gambling cause once we have little knowledge in gambling then there's a chance of being addicted we cannot control ourselves. Once we got addicted then there's a bad or negative impact in our daily lives cause if an addict don't have money they he/she will make a way to get money and some of them are stealing other's money in order to sustain thier greed which is very bad in the first place.
Understanding and knowing many things about gambling is the same as experience that must be gained from previous mistakes, provided that you have good enough control.
Maybe usually gamblers often dont understand what happens in gambling and what the risks are in the long term, but when gambling, they experience a mistake that causes them to lose, that will be good enough understanding and knowledge.
So from several mistakes that often occur, gamblers should have started to understand the risks of gambling and what to do if they already know these risks, but unfortunately many gamblers are selfish and follow their emotions and ignore these risks and choose to continue betting for money.

Having proper guide in anything reduces failure, not only in gambling alone, it's a philosophy of life. The problem is many people that gamble today, majority are money driven, while few of them are gambling because they love to but still, the motivation behind it is money and few have experience in games, sport bettors are fair in losing compare to casino men, even uneducated people win big in sport betting because they can go to a physical shop and select their choice and then bet but in casino, you need to understand how some games works, even I as a gambler don't understand some of the casino games I see on these platforms.

I think gambling platforms in general should have guide and FAQ for players to read up before they even attempt to bet on any game, doing this will save lots of gambler but if you check the casinos today, the faq you will see around is how to deposit and how to withdraw, that's the only thing they know because that's what will improve their profits, more people more profits and less people less profits, betting platforms need to consider somethings.
Money will be their reason for gambling so they will continue gambling even if it means they have to spend more money. They forget that gambling more often can lead to a potential gambling addiction faster than they imagine, while they don't think about what would happen if they become addicted to gambling. They are not ready to realize that they are starting to become addicted to gambling so when it happens, they cannot even realize it. Indeed, some of them can win big because of their luck, but other people will not be able to get it because that is the difference between lucky people and unlucky people. It is difficult to understand gambling games because we can only play them. After all, gambling is entertainment.

Gambling platforms already have FAQs or regulations that players can read, but the problem is that those who are too lazy to read them and understand them will end up experiencing problems. They may focus their reading on one or a few things but apart from that, there is still more they need to understand so they won't get into trouble. This is why, before we register at a casino, we have to make sure that we completely understand the rules so that we don't break any rules that could get us into trouble.

As long as a beginner gambler is willing to learn what he needs to have when gambling and continues to practice it, he can reduce his risks because without having good self-control and being irresponsible, the beginner gambler will face big risks such as gambling addiction. They should know that gambling addiction has become a serious problem for many gamblers and there are already many gamblers who experience it to the point where they cannot give up gambling easily. Maybe they think that they have tried to control themselves but because they are careless and don't notice any changes in themselves, that makes them irresponsible gamblers. They have lost a lot of money and cannot leave gambling even for a moment, which makes them addicted to gambling and that has become a big problem for them. There must be help from other parties who can help them get out of their gambling addiction and also with the desire to cure their gambling addiction, they can start to cure their gambling addiction.

Having proper guide in anything reduces failure, not only in gambling alone, it's a philosophy of life. In my opinion, it is impossible to reduce stress by continuing to gamble, because gambling is like a swing - we lose and then win again. At the same time, the state of the gambler changes from stress, which occurs when we see how our deposit evaporates, to euphoria during the release of dopamine. In my opinion, to get rid of gambling addiction you need to completely withdraw from gambling for a while and replace them with some other activity that can act on the brain in the same way to release dopamine.

At some time though you will be faced with a decision as it is inevitable that a time will come when you will only lose and lose again, forgetting the wins for good.It is exactly here that even heavily addicted persons are before a choice in their life and they need to act sooner rather than later, personally when I was a heavily addicted gambler in 2019-2020 it was exactly this moment that made me stop and think for the moment, what the heck I am doing losing money in a continuous way and there I decided to set a budget and stick to it,this remains to date the best advice to any addicted gambler as withdrawing completely is super difficult.

I see a lot of people here talking about gambling responsibly. Yes, that is something very true, but have you ever been a gambling addict?
I never.
Everyone will never admit that they are addicted to gambling.
When you gamble and finish few sessions, don't you have the desire to play again? because gambling always has an addictive effect on everyone without exception.
Have you ever experienced phase where when you have nothing to do or you think about gambling and start doing several gaming or betting sessions?
Because gambling addiction is not about someone who always gambles, I think you can understand what the true definition of gambling addiction is.

Quote
Of course there will be losses. But the loss was responsible, meaning I gambled with money that I was ready to lose, and there was a nominal limit every week on how much I had to spend on gambling. It's important for me to make money every week to spend on gambling. If I win I will withdraw, even if I lose I won't stress.
I applaud those of you who can think about financial limits every time you gamble and you can control yourself to make the right decisions in gambling.

Yes! I've been a gambling addict but that was a long time ago and I must say it was one of the worst things that's ever happened to me as an individual. But luckily for me I was able to save myself from gambling addiction after I gambled with every remaining money in my possession and had to go hungry for over 24 hours before I was saved by a relative who helped me financially to get food for myself. After that very day, I made the decision to reduce my gambling activities to the barest minimum and gamble responsibly whenever I want to.
Your story is very dramatic and moved me, I have also experienced addiction but not like you to such an extent, I feel that my addiction suffering is heavier and there are still far more than me.
But fortunately you have changed and understand what responsible gambling is.

But it is true that when we have an impulsive and compulsive nature it is easy to get carried away which makes us continue to play gambling endlessly, until what we have is all gone and feel desperate for this life, fortunately you have relatives who help you, sometimes there are some people who do not have help will end their lives at that time.

To be honest I have been most successful gambling on cricket and football. I am very fond of sports since childhood and I have watched cricket and club level football matches since childhood due to which I have a good understanding of sports. I bet with a rough idea of which team will play well against which team and which team is stronger at home, which is why I tend to win more on these bets. Gambling I have to play never works like that in my mind when I want to and I bet when I think that I will win if I bet on this match. In football and cricket matches, which opponent is stronger than which opponent and which opponent has the potential to do well in which match, these are some of the things that can be assumed in advance, I bet from that idea.

To be honest in the past I have spent a lot of money gambling. What I mean here is that I spent all my savings on gambling. Maybe the nominal amount is not that big but it makes me feel like a gambling addict. I spent 5 months of my savings on gambling. Currently I am aware and am in the stage of improving my own financial condition. Have you ever felt like a gambling addict? and how much did you lose in gambling?

Being so addicted to gambling is a situation that anyone wouldn't want to be involved in, me too I have been an addicted gambler before. Like to be honest it affected both my physical and psychological health.

I gamble with almost everything I have, I gamble with my laptop, phones, shoes like every damn fucking thing I have until a day I met a friend and told him to borrow me money while I use my certificate as collateral, he was so amazed and was incusitive to know the reason why I wanted to use my certificate as collateral in other to borrow money, so i now told him that there is a sure game I wanted to play. He became so angry and began to remind me of the stress and huddles we passed through during tertiary institution, that I should value my certificate and let nothing should lead me to gamble with my certificate. I started crying and told him how I have been so addicted to gambling to the extent that I sell almost anything at sight just to play gamble. He advised me and gave me some money so after thinking about the things he told me I began to reduce my urge for gambling so on no account should anyone gamble to the extent of being too addicted.

I've experienced worst incidents in the system, we just have to be cautious and extremely careful when dealing with the system. We're all in the system to generate reasonable amount of profits and then leave, but they doesn't go quite planned as we intend because most of us easily developed desperate mindset to acquire gain, and we allow the system to take control of our minds and abilities, we moved straightforward to the volatility of games. Been a gambling addict means a whole lot of things. An addict tends to lose hugh figures to the system due to gambling without course, not discipline and he also do not anticipate disciplinary measures.

Yes! I have been in that situation but it was a long time ago when I was in high school, I saved all my money just to play when I got home back in the day and sometimes we gambled inside the campus in our own way. It's the people who are with you who will make you do things that you aren't familiar with like gambling. As soon as I realized I was with the wrong people, I left and chose another company to enjoy life and I found the right friends which I still have right now even though we have our own families, we still hang out sometimes and make some resourceful activities that helps us grow.
You did the right thing by getting away from the "friends" who encouraged you to gamble when you didn't have enough maturity to understand the risks and how the games worked. We have to get close to people who have similar goals and lifestyle compared to us, so we can share the same interests and help each other growing together as individuals inside a healthy social circle of friends who understand each other and will always do their best to put others on the right track aiming a peaceful, solid and rewarding future. Toxic companies must be put aside as soon as you spot they are harmful to your physical and mental integrity.

Luckily you still have a friend who really understands your situation so you can still be saved, thank God you managed to realize it before it was too late and you became even more addicted, sometimes not everyone can manage to get out and recover from their addiction before they really feel bankrupt. and having debt everywhere, I think it will be a bad experience that you will remember and use as a lesson that gambling is actually just for entertainment.

I have also been in your position and I am sure that almost all experienced gamblers have experienced something called addiction, whether at a low or high level, addiction is something that is scary for gamblers because if you have become an addict it will be difficult to get out of it. To get rid of this addiction, the only way is to stress yourself, namely by reducing it gradually, whatever happens, you have to do it until the feeling of wanting to gamble really decreases.  Wink
