As long you are really that having a good control with your finances then it should really be just that fine. There are really just those people who are really that getting derailed with their
gambling activity on the time that they would really be making themselves impulsive on the time that they would be playing. In my time or moment on dealing with gambling then i had never ever
made myself being a gambling addict. Why? I do only spend on the amount on which i do or can afford to lose and never ever go into going into beyond limits.
People do usually mess up on the time that they would really be that going past into those limitations on which it is something that you shouldnt really be doing in the first place.
Gambling could wreck up your life if you arent that thinking carefully or making actions that well.
This means that when gambling, we really have to have good self-control so as not to slip into gambling activities until we become addicted to gambling. Gambling addiction is a very big and serious problem that the gambler must treat before his gambling addiction turns worse. We can actually still control ourselves well when gambling so that we don't exceed the limits we have set. Only with self-control can we avoid all the problems that gambling will cause. Yes, gambling can ruin your life if you are not careful in gambling and managing the money you use for gambling.
Many have become victims of the harmful effects of gambling if they are addicted to it, of course their lives will become messy if they are addicted to gambling, in my opinion gambling addiction can change a person's life to be more dominant to miserable, because his mind only thinks about gambling and only that, not thinking about anything else, they tend to do everything to be able to return to gambling if they have run out of money and their savings, What they don't want is their savings that they take to use for gambling, borrowing here and there for gambling too, if they have the courage to borrow here and there for gambling, you can be sure that their lives will not be calm because they are in debt, and if they still like to gamble it will be difficult to be able to replace the debt, even if they have money it is unlikely that they will pay the debt, but are more concerned with their gambling activities which have become a habit that is difficult and they cannot leave. So this addiction is difficult to break even some people almost fail when they try to leave this habit.
If someone is gambling and believes it's too much and still has the self-control in it, that is not an addiction to me, it's a mere hobby for the person. You can engage in your hobby for as long as you like, but when it's getting to the level that you can't easily say No to it when you want to, and perhaps taking more of your time and attention thereby causing the lack of focus in better things of life, then this is the time you can call it an addiction and start fighting it. It's a very good thing for the person when he realises it all by himself, the next step is to start making efforts to restrain himself from it. It would always be easy if the person has a strong mind, this helps easily to pull out of addiction simply by letting go by taking a temporary break from it.
It is probably when the personal effort is not working that the person should proceed for external help where friends and family could be involved. And my advice to those who can't overcome their addiction by themselves is that they should not wait for too long for people to notice. When they can't control it over time, they should immediately call the attention of their friends or family or both to it before it gets too ugly.
Everything depends on the self-control that each gambler has so that if he can still control himself, he can still gamble well and enjoy gambling. But don't make gambling a hobby because it can make you forgetful and unable to control yourself. Having a gambling hobby can make you addicted to gambling, so it will only ruin your life until you are unable to get up again. But most people will lose control of themselves when they gamble too often and can't control themselves because the temptation of gambling is so great that it keeps making them gamble again. He had become addicted to gambling to the point where he couldn't think about himself and even lost track of time and everything. This is what every gambler must be aware of so that they do not turn into gamblers who are addicted to gambling, and it will only give them more problems.
If they make gambling a hobby they will accept very dangerous risks as they gamble will also make their lives ruined like you said that, also they can forget other things because they only focus on gambling, it's bad if they can't control themselves with gambling because they will lose and it's not from money alone many things will also be affected by gambling.
People who are addicted to gambling can look for someone in their family or friends to talk about their problem so that there is help that can help them get out of their gambling addiction problem. Hopefully, the person who is addicted to gambling can find someone who can really help him get out of his gambling addiction problem so that he can have a normal life again. It is indeed difficult. It is not easy to tell other people about the problem because it is related to gambling addiction, but he really has to tell it so that his gambling addiction problem can be resolved.
I think it will just be a waste of their time. it is difficult to make those who are already addicted and however difficult it is for them to be aware of what they are doing, they don't have to look for friends or family, if they realize what they are doing is losing them, then they can stop again, it's useless if they look for friends or family to be friends to talk about solving their addiction solutions but they themselves still want to gamble. If they want to stop they should be able to avoid high-risk things such as borrowing money, avoid places or people related to gambling, do not socialize with friends who gamble. Instead of spending hours playing gambling, they can call a family member or friend to meet for coffee but do not let what is discussed lead to gambling. Or they can distract themselves from wanting to gamble with activities like watching movies, doing mindfulness exercises like deep breathing, or going to the gym. Maybe this will help them to leave their addiction behind that is already attached to them. So in my opinion, before anyone else then they themselves must do it consistently. The key is that they themselves will determine the future because after all they will run it themselves.
In my opinion that is one of the keys to gambling, with good self-control it will avoid addiction. because many people cannot control themselves when gambling and unconsciously they have become an addict because they continue to gamble without thinking about the losses they have felt, and when they get a win if they have good control they will cash it in without thinking about anything else or chasing back a bigger victory.
Because most of those who do not have good self-control, when they get a win they choose to continue the game by pursuing a bigger win which of course may be impossible to get, because not always luck will always be on their side. Even if they have friends who always remember not to gamble again, in my opinion it will not work to resist the feeling of wanting to gamble again because of the absence of good control so that they can ignore the words suggested by their friends. So really the key is good self-control to be able to limit gambling by not overdoing it.
Self-control is the most important thing that gamblers who want to gamble responsibly must possess. Unfortunately, many have lost their responsibility in gambling, so they actually become addicted to gambling and, even worse, gambling addiction. Many of them have lost money from gambling, and even their lives have been ruined because of irresponsible gambling. That's why we really have to take care of ourselves by gambling responsibly, but actually, if we can't be responsible when gambling, we don't need to take that risk because it could endanger our lives and those of our families.
I read what you said from the top, you talked about self-control only, do you think that is the main key in gambling?
They must have a self-control commitment that can limit them when playing gambling, with that they will not become severely addicted to gambling. Most of those who can't limit their gambling so that they can spend a lot of money and it's detrimental to themselves, it has nothing to do with me, but if I have a family member who is like that, I will leave them alone without helping them in any way, until they realize by themselves that what they are doing is something that is detrimental to themselves. Gambling addiction can also cause problems in family relationships because the mentality that will change because of the defeat they always get will make them more aggressive and become more easily emotional. Here it is also seen that they have lost self-control.
Many gamblers who win choose to continue gambling even though they know and realize that continuing to gamble will not provide a greater chance of winning the gambling game. They are willing to accept the risk and actually continue gambling so that, in the end, they end up having a losing streak that wastes all their money without any money remaining. This is what we must avoid, especially if we want to be responsible gamblers, because by continuing to gamble, the risks we face will be greater, and perhaps we will not be able to accept it.
I disagree with what you said, I think that those who gamble cannot accept the risks that they should accept only a few people have thought about what will happen to them if they gamble excessively, most of them do not think about the risks from the beginning, because they only think about the victory they will get so they don't think about the risk, And if they have lost a lot of money and always experience defeat, sometimes they still think about gambling again to restore the losses they have felt, there is no end to that, they will continue to play and lose and then think of ways to be able to restore the situation and continue like that until they run out of all their money and property until they have nothing left except the clothes they wear. Only then will they realize what they've lost. If they are already addicted to gambling it is difficult to cure them, because what is damaged is their thinking so they may have to go to a psychological expert. Because what they have to do first is change their thinking, how to get rid of their thoughts that always want to gamble.
