I already tried exchanging BTC face to face between me and my friends. Because they were the ones who introduced me into the crypto world and helped me to learn and know the basics in Cryptocurrency Trading and gave me insights about the history of Bitcoin and how big Bitcoin is in the crypto market.

In 2017 all my bitcoin transactions were done face to face.  I was afraid of selling my coins online because of scam though there is escrow. I dont think it is bad idea for one to sell he or her bitcoin face to face because it seem the most safe to me.

I am afraid to personally deal with another person.  Shocked  Also, another factor is that it's really hard to find someone who wants to trade face to face as the main purpose of bitcoins is anonymity which would not be achieved when we do face to face deals.  Cool

I also have the same thoughts, bro. First of all, you never know whom you will meet. Then, secondly, all the anonymity of the deal in this case vanishes.

I've been using BTC for a while. I've been using it at exchanges, to trade altcoins and to order goods over the Internet, but I've never exchanged BTC with someone in front of me. At a store or between friends, or family. This despite having had long conversations about BTC with various kinds of people, and attending a few meetups.

Who has exchanged BTC F2F?

I have had several face-to-face conversations with some people I know on facebook. They want to trade on facebook, but I do not think this is a safe way. I arranged for them to go to a coffee shop and I started dealing with them

I always trade face to face because we dont have to pay fee for the third party.
Of course it's dangerous, therefore i always go with one or two friends.
Now i have some trustworthy partners to trade with whenever i need Cheesy

I have never try this before because I think it is too hassle for the both of you, except if you don't know really each other and you want to have a transaction safely then this is the good idea to do. But if the one that you are going to exchange your bitcoin with is your friend or someone that you already know for a very long time, then I guess this is not really necessary do, just do it online, so that you can save your time and energy.
Yes, such transactions would cost a lot of time for both of you. Most of the time I'm dealing with people I know, mostly my friends. For strangers, I would never deal with them because I could encounter a scammer at any time.

I think it's a good thing to exchange bitcoin interfaces, indeed if done with close people is a common thing but if done with others it would be an additional security.

I have this experience although it's only once. I do this because the seller is one of my friends which always helps me to withdraw my bitcoin and I do this in her home because in that time, I was on her home and suddenly, I need a money for an urgent thing so I asked her if she can help me. but, usually, I only send her the amount of bitcoin that I want to withdraw so she can send the money into my bank accounts.

As of now, the usage of bitcoin to me is not to transfer BTC in a face to face manner. I used bitcoin as a tool to convert my tokens and send it out as fiat currency. But of course, in the future it will happen. Besides, I am thinking to use bitcoin to give salary to my future employee.

In a stranger no I haven't been exchanged bitcoins to those and I am not gonna do that because that is dangerous becquse that might be a bad guy that will steal your phone and threaten your life. But I always do face to dace transactions into my friends like if they need a small amount of money that cannot be cashed out or when we have some things to buy in them personally. That is much safer because you know them they are your friends. And that is very helpful

No, I have not had this experience as well. I know the guys who never had any problems with this but I am not sure that this is something which is very safe.

I've heard many horror stories of people getting beat up after they've sold btc face to face..and had their money (and btc) stolen. You need to be extra careful and meet in a public place and/or hire a private security if it's a considerable sum of money. I bought btc face to face many times, but I had recommendations from a few friends that the sellers were legit. So yeah, it can be done and people are doing it to avoid being slapped by banks, but you need to be extra careful.

Of course I never ever try to do that or experience because exchange bitcoin in face to face is to hassle to do and also you can exchange bitcoin using internet with fast and safety transactions easily than to face to face you cant assure that safety of your bitcoin.

That's not common activity to exchange bitcoin face to face, but for my own experience I was buying personally the crypto coins from a friend. Bitcoin buying though a person doesn't come to my mind, because most transaction can be done wallet to wallet.
Yes, it can really done by wallet to wallet but the question is on the assurance between transactions? Dont tell me that you would send first before the other person would do the same. Face 2 Face transaction is unusual and do happen on rare but there are people who actually do such thing. People do like to remain anonymous thats why they do only make transactions online by other means and also f2f tx would be riskier because you wont even know that you are already dealing with a holdaper or any criminal people who decide to stole up btc.

I am not trying to do this yet because I still sending my btc to my friend and then he can sell the money into my bank account. but I know where my friend lives, who is he, and all details about him because he is one of my closest friends and I don't think that he will scam me because we have a good relationship. maybe if tomorrow or when I want to withdraw, I will visit my friend home's and I will send the bitcoin at her home while we can talk much about everything.

Who has exchanged BTC F2F?

I have done it but not in a stranger because that is probably a dangerous one because they might be a bad guys wanna get all your bitcoins dude. I am just foing it with my friend in school like for example they wanted a quick cash and a little one that cannot be cash out through banks so thry will ask me if I had a cash then I will scan their code and exchange bitcoins. But in something that I dont know and even if I know but I dont trust no i am not doing it. Just do some transactions at home that is a lot more safer.
I think, bitcoin is not a physical asset that robbers can snatch and if it was possible, same threat lies while you are dealing with your friends. Nobody can access your bitcoin without you giving them the required credentials. And it is definitely better to keep the transactions to yourself. Letting others know about it can put you in danger. You never know what future may bring you so better stay anonymous in all ways.
