I always participate in ICOs with bounty, especially in signature and translation campaigns. I guess this is the only way to get tokens with no risks.
Anyway, I think you should always search for projects with interesting innovative ideas and support them despite the fact that there are a lot of scam ICOs out there. Just don't take things for granted, check everything and ask questions.

You have to do your due diligence carefully for ICO investing. Most people expecting a quick
double or triple on ICOs quickly to flip those are disappointed since only some ICOs
do that. Very often new coins trade at or below ICOs prices for some time before appreciating.

I do ICOs but I prefer pre-sale with the discount assured.
Recently I'm buying AppCoins (https://appcoins.io) until the $5.000 limit of the pre-sale. It has good traction in app store, so I'm expecting a quick appreciation.

And do they have a future in general?

I think regulation can be good...right now just seems like there are so many (potential) scams.

One day ICO's will be regulated by law, but for now, it reminds me Wild Wild West. I did invest in two ICO's: Monetha and BlackMoon Crypto, and few more once Tokens was released to exchanges.  It's very risky and in some cases better is wait until tokens start trading on exchanges and price goes down after few weeks. Only best ICO's brings rewards from day one, some after time and few are never profitable or became scam.

until now have not invested in any ICO, but someday i will invest into an interesting ICO

Kindly go through all the required details before investing in any ICO. Read all the whitepaper and if that is situated in your country and nearby do visit them and have a meeting and ask all the question before you invest in. If you are not satisfied do not invest just because other are investing in that project.

That is one of the reasons I rarely invest in an ICO project, investors should also think intelligently not to get caught in the ICO scam. Before china ban ICO I once invest in ICO project and I earning profit from sell token given

I bet that most people who have been in crypto for more than 7-8 months must have had experience investing into ICO's. However I would suggest that not to jump into any ICO blindfolded as most are near scams or their value go down when the tokens are launched in exchanges.

No till now i haven't invested in any ICO but my freind had invested in many ICOs. Not all the ICOs have future. Only very few are the real ones, others are the scams. So you have to go through the whitepaper and the idea of the project thoroughly, and try to find weather its a scam or real.

I did invest in Ethereum. Arguably the best ICO of all. Sadly, I did sell a bit early on and prior to its great bull run but thankfully went ahead with mining and holded some later on.

Later ICOs have in my opinion been based a bit too much on speculation rather than providing a minimum viable product from early on. Infrastructure in the crypto space is in my opinion worth investing in, but speculative ICOs are too risky and could potentially leave nothing behind if the ICO bubble pops. So I haven't invested in any later ICOs.

Yes, I have invested in few ICO's including Monaco, a very successful ICO!

Now I will invest in trade.io! The future of trading, finally a decentralised platform for trading.

My first and only investment on ICO was Power Ledger, actually it is doing quite well despite the current situation.
