Seems to be a lot of selling on Havelock  Huh

I suspect some people got impatient looking for dividends. The downtime on Havelock likely made a few people skittish as well.

So this casino IPOd @฿0.00018000, and, after 2+ years in operation, is still not paying divs while trading @฿0.00000550? (what is that, ~ 97% loss?)
Reminds me of that debate a while back, whether pulling the plug on persistent vegetative state patients is the thing to do.

Good to hear some news from you guys Smiley

Looking through the numbers it shocks me how bad the sports-book did. I always assumed the house edge was so good you couldn't lose in the long run, but if the bookmaker making the lines is way off then that would explain it.

Did you guys try to balance your own sports book or is it always done by a partner? Are you able to disclose which one?

You should follow gamebet.gg and turn the sportsbook into a p2p platform where you just set odds, and take a 2% rake when people bet against each other. Owning counterparty risk is for suckers. Also, add Esports.

From the beginning the sportsbook was nothing but dead weight. If you would just cut it down and pay the casino earnings as a dividend, everbody who holds shares would be better of.

As much as I'd like to receive a dividend, I think they're being responsible about growing their business.

March Metrics and Financials below.

Monthly Metrics: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmSWZWkGJ1V3dFpxZHVTN0x6ZldUeHRteWdBd1pMNXc#gid=16

P&L - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mFzQOuJ-8hBI8ftH75EEhRkcpLh8NbJMJPOoKhK17Yo

Sportsbook:                                   - 4.23860 btc
HTML5 Casino:                               + 4.322  btc
Bit777/ PeerBet (CBTC Share):        -6.5076 btc

Overall Month: -12.0314 btc

Noteworthy callouts
A negative month to end the quarter, with some losses in the Sportsbook and PeerBet.

We had consistent (but down YoY) action in the Sportsbook with March Madness, which was offset by wins in the Casino with very light volume, likely due to us running Baccarat promotions instead of the Blackjack promotions which we ran in January and February. The lesson here is that Bitcoin Players simply do not want to play Baccarat even with the tremendously low house edge! For instance, just half a month into April and we’ve already exceeded the Casino volumes for the full month of March. With Baseball underway, and the NHL and NBA playoffs starting, we should start gaining another pop in volumes across the board which we hopefully can ride until the big lull ahead of the US Football season.

Q1 2016

Q1 Revenue   +31.452 btc
Q1 Expenses   -16.517 btc
————————————
Q1 Profit      +14.935 btc

As we approach the next quarter, we are excited to report that we have multiple partnerships lined up inside the Bitcoin Community, as well as the more traditional non-bitcoin sports betting community. While we are not obliged to speak about the details publicly yet due to NDAs in place, both of these partnerships will allow us to strengthen our brand, increase our marketing reach, and will ultimately allow us to continue to grow our revenues.

The management team firmly believes there is still a rather large opportunity to regain customers back from our competition with our VIP program, but we need a better sportsbook in place, and of course need to operate risk-free. In the next 3 months ahead of the US Football season, we are going to reinvest the profit we earned in Q1 into a new Sportsbook with updates to our current look and feel, and integration with a solution which will allow us to operate near-risk-free with light operating costs (far less than our previous 3rd party supplier). Aso, one of our new partnerships will also increase exposure to our book to new bitcoin bettors, so we are confident this is the best use of the profit from Q1.

any plans on adding poker?

None.

We've looked into this a few times over the past 2 years, the market for Bitcoin Poker is not only extremely saturated, it's a difficult endeavor to undertake from a customer support, marketing and technical perspective. Just look at all the problems that our competition is running into with freerolls (which don't generate them ANY revenue)!

It's further made difficult because for whatever reason, crypto poker players are generally just freeroll hunters.

And when do we get March's stats? Smiley. Should also be quarterly report, right?

The data in the worksheets is up to date, we are working on a Q1 report, will publish once its completed.

Well done on all counts: turning things around, profitability, and keeping an eye on the long term.
++

And something I hadn't thought about asking before... on PeerBet's "share," since that includes altcoins, are those liquidated, or how do you come up with the BTC figures?

Yes, we liquidate at the end of the month, when it's worth while. We have no liquidated any coins in a few months as it hasn't been worth the effort.
