it is a manipulation done by the team to attract investors, this usually happens to projects that do not reach the target but the team forces to continue the project. don't be tempted by prices higher than ICO / IEO prices because it's just a trap, don't ever invest in coins like this.

That is intended because the bad intentions of the team have been planned to be able to attract investors so that they can get a lot of profit from it. projects like this have often happened, the team tried to deceive investors as if the value of the token that will be launched will have a high trading volume later.

I agree with you, I often see cases like this happen. an example is JNB coins, at the time of ico they said they had managed to get as much as tens of millions of money, but if you look at the current volume it all makes no sense. besides that it seems they are also manipulating JNB prices to attract investors and traders.

We know that even large exchanges constantly support the liquidity of cryptocurrencies, especially those that have small volumes. There are also bots that keep the price in range for the visibility of trade. All this creates the illusion of demand for some junk coins, and if you try to sell a large amount, the price will fly off to zero.

That is indeed true. Because I myself saw an exchange that uses bots to maintain the price of crypto currencies. But as long as it's good for crypto, I don't mind that. So it is necessary to avoid crypto which has a low volume in exchange.
I guess it's only natural because they are also trying to attract traders in. but bots don't have a small trading volume. only to keep the price of tokens or coins listed on their exchange. even some big exchanges do it. but for coins with high prices but not trading volume, you can see whether the tokens or coins can be traded or not. sometimes the exchange still locks the deposit and trading of some assets.

Some well-known exchanges can still deal with the authenticity of the trading volume, but some unknown exchanges, the trading volume is brushed out by robots, lacking authenticity, when we need to trade, you may not be able to sell, this Very annoying, so in the future exchange rankings, it is best not to consider based on trading volume. This feels very important.

High price and no volume means that there is some sort of manipulation going on in the trade pair and exchange platform.

This is one reason why i do not always follow coinmarketcap, i prefer to visit the exchange and see things for myself.

It is hard to identify tokens with no worth, but with good research strategy, you can have an advantage
obviously they do that to attract attention, even some altcoins have gone up to 600% within 1 day. but, we need to distinguish which coins are manipulated, and which actually rise. However, if a coin has a high price, but there is no volume, or demand there, that is the thing to avoid.

Altcoins are dead altcoins without quantities, and no investors are interested in them. So be careful about these altcoins and don't invest in them, because no matter how long you keep them, you're never going to make a profit from them. Looking for successful altcoins with a high volume to invest is great, and if the market collapses, if you want, you can sell it easily. Never fall for low liquidity shitcoins.

It is that simple, people are always looking for ways to make a lot of money and when they see a coin increasing in value they try to immediately join the party but if there is no volume then it means that growth is completely false and if you buy that coin and then it begins to go down then you will be unable to sell your coins to someone else, this is why one of the most important factors when it comes to selecting the right coins to trade is to select a coin with a very high volume.

It is clear that we are facing a particular moment: those who do not have confidence in the future of cryto have already got rid of their assets, those who believe that the market will recover will keep them and not spend them.
In this way, the market is blocked, because no one is bitcoin to make normal transactions.
We will see what will happen, everything is possible.

It's back to square one if you are holding a coin or token for long term and finally altcoin season comes and the token or coin surge in value but has no trading volume on exchange, all your efforts and pain while holding is total waste, do not hold tokens or coins that have no demands, real use cases are what makes them very demanding
That is a risk. Do not regret it, but accept it gracefully, all the decisions we take must have risks, respect it Smiley
Try to be more realistic and accept the situation, do not forget to continue to monitor the progress of the project or anything related to the tokens or coins that you hold, so you can choose the best path. Even if your expectations do not match the reality that is the risk. There must be luck from another path.
Well, if there is an increase in price there must be an increase in demand, if it is not supported by an increase in trading volume there must be manipulation and it is an indicator of the quality of the token or coin that you hold.

This is one of the major challenges in this space right now as some projects lack orientations and fundamental ideas of what they actually want to do with their project therefore leaving their investors at serious lost, this is one of the major reasons this space has to be regulated asap.

I have experienced cases like that where the coins / tokens that I have, there is no interest in people to buy coins / tokens. so that the trading volume on the exchange did not increase and the coins / tokens only became junk in my wallet.

Such coins that are valued high have mostly a buy order with the least price so if I have waited long for the high price, I see the coins at the low price instead of waiting for an indefinite time. It has mostly paid off as I get BTC/ETH in exchange that always has hope of increasing in price.

Don't think that real use cases make all these coins with huge volumes tradable Smiley
Manipulations and volatility, number of fans who prefer trading/holding this coin and believe in the idea, some hype around the devs or any other famous person - that's the main factors I think.

Right, because not many tokens or coins have real casings, so we need to research and be more careful in choosing tokens or coins to hold for a long time, because it would be very painful if a token is expensive but the volume is not there.
The market volume is simply a reflection of the demand and volume highly affects the market price of a token. If the market value is high, but the volume is low, the price itself cannot be trusted because there's a tendency for the market value to increase or decrease, or to make it simple, low market volume will not accurately determine the market value of a token. The higher the volume the more it determines the price of a token for that moment. With that being said, investing into such would more likely expose the investor into risk.

Any token without volume is like a dead coin for me. It is no matter what reputed coin is. So it is very important for a coin to have volume upon listing on exchanges to attract investors and traders. But bad side of showing high volume, some exchanges show high volume of their favourite coins, thus deceiving traders and investors. Be careful.
Trading volume is often never accurate and before investing you need to pay attention to the liquidity of the coin because if it is not possible to sell, then the project will be very risky. In fact, there are thousands of coins like this in the market and you need to stay away because the risk will be very high if you choose to invest. Personally, instead of looking for those coins, I will invest in top 10 coins in this market.
