i think nowadays PhD or some degrees like this does not that works. you can get professional from a lot of different ways. such as using MOOCs. internet has changed everything.
There's a huge difference between having a Ph.D. or any degree but it's also true that someone can be a professional without having that.

But it's all up on your career plan and path if you are requiring for that and what you'll be taking in school to pursue as your career.

Sure, it is important, but I cannot understand why it needs to be so expensive.
I mean, I get why it's important - to get a good education. But it makes me so sad that so many children cannot afford to go to a public college. Yes, there are scholarships and loans, but these still have to be paid back.

There are so many kids who don't even finish high school because they have to work to help support their families. And I just cannot believe that the government would allow so many kids to go without a quality education and then hold it against them. I feel like they need to start seriously evaluating colleges and working to make them affordable for more people.

You just can't mess up education. And, ya know, honestly, I hate the political aspects of this.

It depends on what profession, if it's medical or legal, then yes, here you need a higher education. But for creative professions I think higher education is not necessary. But the most important thing is that you chose the direction, not parents or friends Smiley

If you had to do it all over would you go to college?

One needs degree not only to secure a high paying job but also to gather more knowledge and skills in the market sector.

Yes, I strongly believe that obtaining a higher education furthers your chances of getting a career.

It increases the chances of earning a higher income and have social recognition.

People who don't have a high school diploma are often not satisfied and would prefer to go back to school to pursue a degree.

That's why many parents are willing to spend big money for their children's education costs. So that their children can get a higher education,
which can open up opportunities to get a job with a high income. Since most companies need employees who have higher education, then why
do many people consider higher education very important.

Well, if you are asked to choose between talents and certificates, and the success of your company depends on this, I wouldn't be surprised if most intelligent employers go for talented workers whether they have certificate or not. What matter the most is who can get the job done.
I actually wouldn't emphasize on certificate/paper qualification for my business.
Every job seekers would need to be tested first before they can be employed. If you are a good problem solver or you can easily learn and understand, I would take you.

Bad school tend to make people dumb or turn their minds backward. We have lots of bad schools in the world today.

Academic qualifications are definitely more important,
But now if you are looking for a job or making friends, it does not mean that you only look at your academic qualifications. Now you are assessed from all aspects. Capital and academic qualifications are equally important. If you have the capital, others will not look down on you because of your low academic qualifications. If you have a high degree of education and no capital, then you can slowly accumulate through your own efforts, but if you have both academic qualifications and capital, then you will succeed very quickly.

The academic qualification itself is not important, but the systematic theoretical and cultural knowledge and the systematic human accumulation behind the academic qualification are very important and extremely important.

Just as in education, personnel preparation in the workplace is the result of systematic intellectual accumulation in the education system.
An intellectual, professional personnel equipped with these specific fundamental knowledge can be a coach and a leader in any kind of profession.

If you had to do it all over would you go to college?

These are the times to be fully equipped.  If I had the opportunity, I would go to another university.  While time progresses at the same speed, technology is advancing 10 times faster than time.  We must not lag behind this.  For this, you need to constantly improve yourself.  on everything.

It depends on the individual. Some are self-learners some are not and need an extra push.
I agree with this. Some people who are in a state of urgency will realize that they need something to change themselves. It will give them more power to do something different than the other. And that gives them a big chance to change their lives and we already saw that by many people who do not have a higher education.

Most of the billionaires now that are world reowned are self taught.

But they have to go through with the usual type of education. As they learn through their self learning, they have improved a lot and knew things that we won't know in the usual school we study.

It depends on the individual. Some are self-learners some are not and need an extra push.

The problem with self learning is that it's hard to show to a future employer. Without the necessary education, he might not even give us a chance to proof ourselves. A university degree is not only there to show what we already learned, but also the willingness to learn new things in the future. Also if we had to pay a lot of money for university it shows our determination to succeed in life.

Yes. Not many people are willing to take the risk that you may not be able to handle your job.
But, it's hard to find a job and set yourself up as an expert if your employer just sees your academic qualifications.
