Hey guys,

Just to let you know I've setup yet another block explorer.

http://hbn.blockx.info/

It's ABE powered but I did some redesign on the frontend so it's easier to read, cleaner and mobile friendly.  Wink

Check it out and let me know what you think

NOTE: the database is still updating so if you check and see it's behind, it's because it's not finished yet

Really nice ! Did you design it? Do you share the theme? Thank you in advance

Thanks, I don't have plans to share it yet still it's still a work in progress, maybe I will in the future though

Love the look of the explorer. Thanks unick!

My pleasure  Grin

I am just curious, why isn't hbn on cryptorush? It seems like they list plenty of far less... 'mature' coins.

I personally do not push the coin on anyone. If the market wants it, it is here. I do always appreciate others advocating getting HBN accepted!  Cheesy

Hi
    i have downloaded this wallet

http://hobonickels.info/downloads/HoboNickels-1.3.0.0.rar

but it will not connect and sync

it never gets a connection Huh

why ?

cheers

Hi Semajjames.

That version does not contain the seed nodes.  You can add nodes via rpc command addnode.
Example: addnode seed.hobonickels.info add

See here for more information: http://wiki.hobonickels.info/index.php?title=Node

You can also try one of the newer version if you are using windows. See here: https://github.com/Tranz5/HoboNickels/releases
Look for 1.3.1.0 or 1.3.5.0(pass is beta)
Thanks for your fast response ,,, i am not familiar with adding a node ,,,, is there a version for win 7 that will just sync when i start it

He is saying if you use 1.3.1 you don't need to do the whole addnode routine. He just included instructions for adding nodes in case you don't want to upgrade for some reason. I am running 1.3.1 on win7 with no issues.

Staking of smaller blocks will take longer but you are rewarded with a higher interest so it all evens out.  More and more people are now staking, so it will take longer.  Give it time. I do have some 5 coin blocks that are +45 days that haven't staked yet. But I also just got one that mined on Feb 15 that just staked last night, but I got .3 out the of 5 block. So it all evens out.

In my opinion the only time to really combine blocks are if you are getting alot of orphans, but even that it really doesn't matter much. I only do it if they gui becomes unresponsive due to many thousand of small blocks.

Even though you explicitly selected the coins you want to combine under "inputs" do you still also have to type the total amount into the "amount" field?

use coin control to combine blocks to optimal size
http://wiki.hobonickels.info/index.php?title=Coin_Control

coin-days = coin-age * block size
coin-days used in calculations to prioritize coins ready to stake

current netstakeweight = 177638.08689617

According to what that article says I shouldn't have a problem as all my stake coins are only spread over about 35 blocks. However, I will try it - but I want to confirm a couple things. If I go into send, then click inputs, then select a bunch of blocks to "combine" then click OK, what do I do next? Do I put an address in the 'custom change address' field or the 'pay to' field? Do I need to create a second wallet and send the coins to that wallet? If I do that, do I then need to send them back from wallet B to wallet A? Or is it okay/efficient to have coins staking in two separate wallets (through the same QT application) simultaneously?

use the 'pay to' field
i only send coins between different wallets (may be ok to send to different address in same wallet but can't vouch for that)

no need to send back from B to A
you can stake in different wallets in one app (i've got one hotwallet and 2 stake wallets all open in the same muti-wallet qt app)

keep in mind that your coin-age will reset to 0 when you combine your blocks
if coin-age > 10 days i suggest you wait for them to stake first and then combine afterwards
