This is subjective, it depends on when you entered and at what price but i don't think it's a bad idea I just feel trying to time the bottom/top in cryptocurrency is almost impossible given the volatility but yes I think being an active thinking trader is a better strategy

Selling with a view to buying back lower is dangerous, since you can stay in waiting of your price forever. But selling on pumps is very reasonable. At the dump, you can always buy back the same amount and stay in profit or buy more.
No TA, just logic.

Hi so do people think it's worth learning chart tracking, technical analysis in order to sell and buy back Lower to increase my position. With all of these recent drops, I feel I'm wasting opportunities because I've been told it's always better to hold. I value this strategy but would it not also be beneficial to maybe think about looking at some charts?
This is the time to keep your coins. It is not right if you sell your coins at a low price as now, you will be very sorry and missed the opportunity to get a big profit.
With the current low price, you should really use this opportunity as best as possible by buying as many good coins as possible. You will get an abundance of profits when you sell coins at a high market price.

Already will not be lower, now you need to rejoice at the price that is and in principle you can invest, because the growth has just begun and this is a good time to overstraight the portfolio. Now the active phase for all traders, then there will be only point changes and globally something can not be changed already.

of course trading could be more beneficial than just holding but do you think you have enough knowledge before trading and how long will you keep trading with many losses? becasue most of beginers in trading usually losses at the begining and most of cases, they quit trading and just hold, i know trading is just buy low and sell high but that is not just all, you must predict and choose a good time to trade.

I think when the graphics altcoin is down the better option is to sell it and buy it again when the altcoin price is down,.
while the hold when the altcoin price charts go up.
If the market situation is still chaos may be good for cutlose but you should also look at the situation do not because the price is down you're selling and expect the price to go down. yeah see the chart / graph first and you must understand to see condition and smart analyze. make sure you don't sell when prices is stop to dropping.

Basically what you're talking about is shorting, it's a quite dangerous move especially for new traders I think averaging down is a "safer" bet. Shorting can work well as long as you work with smaller volumes but it's still a very risky move because you know how much you can lose but you never know how much gains you might be missing out, long term.

Do your portfolio some good, learn some trading skills and chart analytical and predictive skills can come in handy. Not all coins should be held for too long. the ultimate game plan should be to have very few assets with long-term prospects in the hodl chest. And use other alt as minions.

At this point you can sell them out. Since the price of the altcoin is rising again, if you get profit from the price difference I recommend you sell them. Do not be too greedy to hold them for long periods of time. No Crypto market can predict their trend.

Right now it's better to hold and wait. In 1 year you'll be rich. Holding is a good skill in cryptoworld.
Since price is not very stable and more dumps than pumps, better to sell when it seems that could get profit and buy again when it falls. This will help you to add the total of coins that you already holding. I can say that is will not all hold for a year but make step and take risk now unless you have enough coins to hold that will wait for the good price and gain profit because even you wait for long time but your holding is little and the same from the start, your will get small profit for the long time as well.

the market went down tremendously. It makes me very nervous. But if it's me, I'll keep it. I prefer to keep the coins I bought rather than sell a loss

Exactly the risk you choose, I also like when all the coin prices in the down market would be better if we keep the coins we have while waiting for the market to rise in price rather than sell at a low price.
Unfortunately there are still many people who are even afraid of market conditions when falling.

It's all in our mind like a psychological reaction when we see the market is falling and seeing it red actually makes us afraid that we're losing. If you trust your coins enough then hold it at least a year and see how it grows but if you're a risk taker you can sell whatever your losses and buy back and hope for a good profit.

Sell at reasonable % spike and buy dip at correction , thereby increasing your holding bag.
Plain advice some traders suggest. But I have not personally been successful though it seems so simple to do

I don't know if rich is correct.

This is a basic question, and almost every trader will ask the same thing. But it really depends on the trader itself, and maybe the coin that the want to hold or buyback. If you have much fiat money left on our account, then it will be better to hold. Since no matter how perfect was your prediction and analysis. There is no certain price movement. When you sell it, it might just go up, at that moment. Or when you decide to buy back that coin, it might just went deeper. So if you got much fiat money on your account, the best thing is to hold the coin, but you should buy more when the price is on its dip.

Hold if you are sure your token works according to the roadmap.
note the progress of the project and they will give you some notifications so you know the issue and development of a token. it's time-consuming but if it's a waste of time better stop loss. Grin
