As indicated by predictions bitcoin should have achieved 15k$ by end of 2017 and fall in first week of jan 2018

In any case, shockingly its effectively reached 17k$ in 2017.

Should I purchase or hold my btc?I don't plan to sell at any point in the near future.

Holding is always a risk for the person that only wants cash. The one that understand the impact htis tech has in the future doesnt mind.  Dont think in FIAT, think in BTC.

This is a must, if you are really wanted to hold your bitcoins and not investing them. But, I'm telling you, Holding is not like an investing with the super high risk. Investing is different from Holding. Investing is putting your money into a investment site where you cannot assure if your money will raise and back or it will scam. It is really indeed very risky because from the fact that you may never know when the price will fall or rise again so there is no knowing whether the ones you buy are going to have a good return indeed. So you really have to put a trust on it otherwise you will fail.

I think if you sell bitcoin now at a low price would be a loss, it is better to hold it and I think the risk of holding bitcoin is you can not get money because you hold and wait for the price to rise

The risk is always there, if you want to buy now then the risk is, the price may go down after you buy. But if you decide to wait before you buy, the risk is that the price may go up. You have to be brave to make a decision and do not regret what you have decided whatever the outcome because it is useless. You have to be wise.

Holding bitcoin is very risky because all we know that bitcoin's value is not consistent. But holding bitcoin is also like a business.  And in business you should take a risk. Yes it is risky but when you have a good and great strategy you will not be afraid of what will be happen to your investment. You need a presence of mind to perform well the bitcoin activity that you need to earn. And before dealing in any business make sure that you have enough knowledge on how your business to be manage and know also the background of your business.

I also agree, it depends. First of all observe the market and be sure about which coins you wanna hold. After that don’t hesitate and just stick to your decision. Eventually you’ll win.

It depends on which coins you will be holding. But before holding or selling your coins I suggest to research first your coins movement by reading more regarding it and with the graphs candle sticks and other hints tjat comes along with it. So it will not be that high risk and you will not loose that much.

Yes  i agree. Before dealing with this activity (Holding), try research you coins movement. This is a must, if you are really wanted to hold your bitcoins and not investing them. But, I'm telling you, Holding is not like an investing with the super high risk. Investing is different from Holding. Investing is putting your money into a investment site where you cannot assure if your money will raise and back or it will scam. Holding is holding your bitcoin using your bitcoin wallet because you are hoping that bitcoin's price will increase again and again. As you compare the two, Holding is just a quite risky.

Holding is not risk you can either sell it if you need the funds or wait for market to recover. What i do normally is wait for the market to recover even if i am getting a profit because i know that when the market will be back to normal i can get more money simply by holding now. But again this opinion might vary from person to person

Almost any investment you will make comes with a certain risk attached to it. Bitcoin is no different, and might be even riskier due to it's volatility.
But also more rewarding.

Investing in bitcoin is a risk, as the value can crash tomorrow.
I'm holding too so far, I believe in what bitcoin represents, so I'm taking the risk. Don't invest more than what you can afford to lose however, but if you can, you should buy more.
Also have a look in other cryptocurrencies.

I agree with you a hundred percent. You shouldn't be investing more than which you are ready to loose because in cryptocurrency the prices can rise dramatically within a few days and similarly it can drop dramatically so you shouldn't sell off your crypto when the prices are low because you wouldn't incur any loss until you sell your crypto at low price.

Nothing has the assurance of always being high, its a fluctuating Market and Nothing is permanently fixed in cryptomarkets, however, bitcoin is at top of cryptomarket and other factors that you should consider before taking up any decision.BTCBTC

holding your coin is not dangerous because it is a long term trading strategy and will benefit very much when you sell it in the future because the price will surely rise very high.

You are right in your statement, bitcoin is not risky to hold since the value is increasing each day depending on the demand in the market. It will only be depending on the person if he/she will focus on trading to earn profit quicker but lesser or waiting for a long time with a huge amount of profit.

The future of Bitcoin is uncertain, but the way things have been going, it is reasonable to assume that the price should continue to rise and reach new heights.

Holding is better than selling at this point in time. Bitcoin is on its dip.
Bought some on December and I will surely hold until I earn some profit

I think that those who have chosen to remain firmly in their holding plan have already obtained a great reward if they started to accumulate their bitcoins for at least a couple of years. For those who already entered the market with a bitcoin above $10,000 may not be the best option to hold their coins in a tight, and I think they should take advantage of current market conditions to sell high and buy low, as the most essential laws of the market suggest.
