This one, https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/why-are-you-involved-with-crypto-5197265 (coming from the OP himself). You can look at the replies, amazing to see that people joined because of money, but they believed about decentralisation. Other's found crypto accidentally, through friends or just browsing the web itself. And how it help and change their lives for the good.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/hex-worth-it-5205670 - Only few replies, about the HEX project, I do hope that the OP didn't fall for the trap because as we all know that HEX turns out to be a Ponzi scheme. Maybe during the time the OP has open his thread, no one has heard about HEX, so probably a good indication that perhaps only a few community members have been victimised.

I was already familiar with the concept that there are trends in Altcoins and they quickly change but this post entitled "Different type of altcoins have their season which attract scammers be watchful" taught us that we should be wary and not easily follow these trends since scammers are also taking advantage of them.

Thank you @tk808 for everything you've done in this forum.

I want to thank @Abiky for his/her post about decentralization and scalability of the blockchain. This post makes us wonder which is better , decentralization or scalability? Can these two be combined inside a blockchain and make the best out of it ? I am hoping for more developments in blockchains in the future.

First of all i would like to thank you @tk808

Posted by @harvey89, About Conflux Blockchain, Each transaction in the core chain is examined by all nodes of the network. This strict algorithm protects itself from most attacks and prevent illegal transactions.

Posted by @voyager what i learned on this are the 2 Best use cases for blockchain are:

#1.Asset tokenization
illiquid assets can now be converted into its tokenized form and cheaply and efficiently fractionalized, traded and settled on chain (rather than go through the lengthy process of clearing and settlement process through third parties like clearing houses).
#2. Supply Chain Management
Its one of the biggest problems that firms face when managing their supply chain is the issue of transparency. Blockchains allow multiple parties to access a database to act as the single source of truth. also Recorded transactions are immutable too.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Above thread gives me additional knowledge in managing my portfolio. Gives me the idea to exchange the BTC that i have for other types of crypto, rather than change (sell) it on to fiat.

Trident Protocol | Simple «buy-hold-earn» system!
This post is one of the best I have seen so far this year because one of the worst things that can happen to a member of this forum is to get a red trust especially for something that could have been easily avoided, so this post by Coysterteaches people things to do to avoid getting the much dreaded red trust in their accounts: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/possible-red-tag-offences-5212103

You might want to take a look at the comments section as well because there are also some good comments there that might deserve some Christmas gifts as well.

This other post is about how to avoid scammers in this forum, some members here tend to trust high ranking accounts and would trust them in any financial deals, so this post teaches people some red flags to look out for because not all high ranking accounts are really genuine: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/password-changed-woke-up-recently-good-signals-to-know-potential-scammers-5204739

I make bold to say that tk808 is not just a legend but also a veteran of blockchain technology. You are one of the few i respected on this forum because you are indeed an embodiment of knowledge when it comes to Cryptocurrency and Blockchain technology. Every idea that flows through you has a way of contributing to the forum. You are not a legend by accident but by knowledge. I give it to this thread.

Thank you for wanting to help friends in this forum in this way. I want to take part in your tread if it's worth it to me. I joined this forum on January 1, 2018. And I have made a number of posts, and I have also participated in the bounty, maybe you can see based on my Ethereum address. Because of the condition of the account with rank Jr. Member, this makes me less enthusiastic. Finally, I pioneered trading with modest capital. Because I want to be a part of cryptocurrencies. But from my journey in this forum, this is the most important thing for me "wish you a happy birthday for this forum", because this forum has given success to most people around the world.
Thank you tk808 and friends, always successful and happy new year.

This thread provides a very valuable lesson for me this year, the lesson I learned in the thread is about holding coins and releasing coins for a long period of time, from some of the opinions I read in the thread it turns out that holding coins is also subject to analysis sufficient and thorough research on a coin, the point so that we do not experience loss in the future.

this is maybe correct, because we see the function of bitcoin as only a currency or payment instrument, and there will be no further development, because satoshi makes bitcoin to make decentralized payments, so the other development will be carried out by altcoin.

1. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ethereum-sinking-ship-or-sleeping-giant-5212462
The topic was created just yesterday. It's a well constructed post about an investor's concerns about the happenings around ethereum. I like threads such as this one since I get to learn different perspectives. One comment from the thread for example gives a not-so-popular take https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.53440011 on the project.

2. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.53395486
Another recently created topic. It reminds us not to let our guard down and not to be lax when it comes to investing since fraudsters keeps on learning new ways to scam as well.

3. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.51720066
A reality on what's really happening for some projects ANN here on bitcointalk.

@tk808 : [Holiday Merits] - Post Your Favorite Altcoin Post of 2019
@CryptopreneurBrainboss : No rank barrier | 100+ smerit monthly giveaway | Concentrating on alt subboard

Guys, I like how you appreciate members who made quality posts for altcoins. This probably motivates people to create better posts. I can say that something like this contributes to improving the quality of "Altcoin Discussion" sub-board. Yes, it is necessary to improve this sub-board because it has many posts and topics. If we check the current data, it has more posts/topics than "Bitcoin Discussion" has.

Quote
Current data
>Altcoin Discussion : 2983xxx Posts, 94xxx Topics.
>Bitcoin Discussion : 2197xxx Posts, 90xxx Topics.
This means most people prefer to join discussions about Altcoins.

I know that @tk808 has given his dedication to altcoins sub-board for a long time. And finally, we have another one (@CryptopreneurBrainboss) who cares to this sub-board. You did a great job, guys. Let's hope we have other ones.

one of the topics and a good post as an example of the reason "why you are involved in crypto" and some reasons and input will be a good motivation for those who read and post it especially for beginners, and make it more enthusiastic after reading it because of the many suggestions or opinions that in my opinion is good and can be studied and become an example here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.52933529 and my post got 1 gift from @ tk808 and I thank you.

This post about decentralization by Abiky:

[1] https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/decentralization-or-scalability-5210458

[2] https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/is-true-decentralization-a-myth-5201879

Got me tinkering or least if someone would have to read it, definitely will play devils advocate. I mean everyone who joined crypto because we wanted decentralization, with no central authority. However, this thread will open our eyes regarding the state of crypto. And perhaps there is no 'true decentralization', and it could only be a myth after all.

I made a post earlier but I didn't post any links because I was in a hurry, I just commended you on your works so far and how you inspire me, I have compiled below my links to posts that I think are worth meriting, I hope you find them as helpful as I found them or in one case, as hilarious as I found it.

tk808 this post doesn't relate to Altcoins except maybe in a roundabout way but I picked this post as one of my favourites of 2019 because it manages to do what I have not seen anyone do in this forum, we all seem to take things too seriously here and the day I found this as by TMAN was really a very special day for me.

This post made me laugh so hard but what actually makes it special for me is that i found comic relief on a day that was bad for me and I found it in the most unusual of places.. in an ad.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.53351001

This link below is a link to the profile of JessicaVL, I have found quite helpful, almost all her posts has turned out to be educative so far and I have great respect for her, this is why I would be posting a link to her post history instead of just a single post because they all deserve our attention y'all.
