Well starting here as newbie has some advantages, you will build your account and reputation, sure it takes some time, thats why some people buy and sell accounts to let others join and reach status faster. Even not being the best way to join signatures, but for sure is one of the main reasons people does risk their btc into those accounts.

2-3 years ago, the signature campaign is my main income, I don't have any work and just rely on a signature campaign. Although the outcome looks not so much yeah it is also enough for me. but I am happy, because of the results of the signature campaigns, I have capital to grow larger. so the current signature campaign only as a sideline. the signature campaign really superb, can not consider paltry. because I think this is a better job than my job in the real world that is deeply tiresome with a very small salary.
May I know what country you're from since you say that earnings through signature campaigns are more worthwhile than your main job? I find it pretty doubtful that one account participating in a signature campaign is outweighing your regular job (unless you're working for $1-$2 per day). This is not an attack or so, I am just being curious to your situation.

Buying bitcoin is the best way to get some coins first and let your wallet balance increase. However if you have some skills to offer by freelancing you can get paid in bitcoin. Many such sites are there like XBTFreelancer.
Then you can try mining and trading bitcoin. I prefer to trade bitcoins to earn - buy low and sell high. Its one of the best ways to earn bitcoin from the market.
Also work on making constructive and quality posts in the forum. Once you get a high rank in the forum you should join signature campaigns to earn from them.

Well Bitcoin is not a trophy to be won but you can offer services to earn them if you're a designer, a programmer or with any technical background. The signature campaigns are micro ways of earning them too but the best will be to offer services for them.
