If you see a great prospect on the project as for me no issue except the project was created solely for the purpose of scam or for defraud. Sometimes last year, I saw a new project which I participated some years back and was abandoned for some reason. He approached the team and there was a green light for him to push the project to those who we called investors and toll date, the project is doing well.

It wouldn't be dead if it has potential in the first place. There could be an angry investor to that old project and not to mention some bounty hunters who had participated but not profiting from it. It will still be a battle for the new developers but what he could just copy the idea of the project but use a different name for it. Creating a ERC token is easy after all.

I don't think its a good idea to revive an old coin/token, its best forgotten and create a new one. A fresh start would be better.

If a project already death then never possible restart because old investors already leave and new investors never believe in your restart project. For the better thinking create new coin with very fast developing plans within IEO popular exchange. So it is impossible to preserve the old death project in a new way right just time spend.

You could get in touch with the current team that is running it? I mean if the team is basically given up on the coin and it is dead, you could basically take over the whole team. But, the better version is not to go with the dead ones but the alive ones that have small pulse.

In those ones you could talk with the team, tell them you have some ideas that you want to do and tell them you are expecting nothing but just putting your effort, which is free considering you are not spending money but valuable considering your time could otherwise worth money if you spend somewhere else. That way you get into a team, do something to revive, and if you are good you will be asked to continue and that will worth money and you will get a bigger influence in that team eventually if you keep making the coin better and they will be afraid to lose you because without you they were almost dead.

If the project is already dead, it's best to forget it and create a new project. The project of death makes many investors lose, so if you revive it, surely no one will trust and invest in it. People will think you are trying to scam them again

Literally "beating a dead horse". You should spend your efforts on creating a new coin instead take over someone's failure. There is a good reason why it was a dead coin and try to revive it could leading to more hassle than it worth.

well I guess no one will interest with the project because it was already abandoned, people will no longer trust they do not want to risk that already failed. It is better to launch a new one.

This make more sense else you will have to market a lot spent a good amount of money on various advertisement and make people aware and also make you believe that this time what are the differences compared to before and give them some guarantee as well that it will be successful and will get better profits as well. Else people will not be ready to accept it.

What is dead is dead. Why waste your time trying to revive what is dead when you can actually come up with better innovation. Even if you succeeded in bringing up the dead project, it will be a challenge getting the community to support such a project again after the disappointment.

If you are interested in continuing to make your own road map, the first step is to communicate with Team  Project Management Team  position handles this section. Discuss and peel until after you make a decision and make a commitment to cooperate between you and them according to your plan.

One more thing ... Your capital strength also determines your placement as an investor

You certainly need to contact the project creator or CEO, because we don't know without contacting and talking to them about the continuation of the project, and you also have to find as much information as possible about the project before participating in it, otherwise, the results of your hard work will be in vain without results

Why? Of all you want to achieve, why will you choose dead altcoin? As you've mentioned, it's DEAD. Whatever be the reason for that coin to be dead like abandoning, left behind, useless protocol, no use in crypto market or worst, created to scam people. Will you still go for it?

I advice you to just create new project and make those cause of dead altcoins be an inspiration not to make same mistakes as they did. Since you will still gonna exert an effort reproducing or reviving that dead coin, probably you can start a new project instead.

I think that you can´t do nothing, why would someone do a job for someone else. Team left the project mainly because they failed to develop something worthy. They take money and gone and if you are thinking that the coin/token is decentralized and you can edit it / fix it, you can´t, this differs from Bitcoin, you can participate on Bitcoin development, but in most cases you can´t participate on altcoins development.  Wink

Hi,

I see lots of abandoned crypto projects with potential and lets say I am interested in one of them and want to keep the devlopment going. What should I do to achieve that?
Do I need to talk to the creators of the project?

Looking for some insight on it.

Thanks

You might be thinking that by doing that is you gonna have the upper hand because from the start you already bought a huge amount of that Altcoin. Now I tell you this, that you will be facing a major problem here because you don't have a way to do that unless you are holding thousands of bitcoin or ETH to buy some of that Altcoin to increase its price in the market. Nevertheless, you will only have a little time to do that because when the holders saw the price spike they will flock to sold and dump all of their tokens.

In the past I found some kind of service offered which is to bring back the dead project but it seems they are buying the projects and then bring it back to live but I never saw any project become successful in that way so it doesn't worth trying it.

The process is simple you need to create demand again for your project for that you may need investors pouring lot of money into it.

I am not seeing any big future for doing so. Because, it would be too hard for anyone to regain faith from this crypto community after one particular project had lost its confidence. Only when a project is capable of proving all the problems from devs and management team, I guess it would be impossible for moving toward success. I guess instead of re-working on a project, you may simply copy a project and may launch as your own new project. Because, multiple projects on similar concepts are not a new trend in this crypto space.

I guess people will not believe into old projects as devs may trick this community like showing as all new team but the same old team might be hiding themselves. Do you have any specific reason for restarting a dead project? I guess you are taking too much of risks rather than starting your own new one.

Be careful about these projects. Don't take a burden to your head later you will die to carry this kind of project. There are lots of fraudulent party besides these projects and if you want to involve it, they will welcome you but when you invest your money they will cutoff. So play with a unique project so that you may gainer next.

Be happy.

the first is who are you? Are you the CEO? or are you the rich who will buy the crypto currency project? if the CEO of the project disappears then the development of the project will die, if their CEO sells the project maybe we can hope, but a good project is a roadmap that is always run

Sincerely, I will tell you not to bother trying that, it is not worth your money, attention and effort. The reason is, there was a reason why the project failed and will likely fail again, the project might have been a scam project, a replica or the team didn't do anything good other than to enrich themselves. So the best way is building yours from the scratch while ensuring it survives against all odds.

Exactly, just launch a new project. If the idea of a dead project is good, then you can keep using that idea on your new project. It can easily attract more investors

IMO, stop wasting your time that you have in your mind.
It is not the same anymore because I think what's in your mind is that what if that dead coin starts to pump through your management.
Sorry if I'm discouraging you but it won't happen, a dead coin won't get up to its grave.
