It is useless to try to force people to do something they do not really want to do, if people are ready to use bitcoin as a currency then let them use bitcoin in whatever way they want, I know we want bitcoin to gain recognition as a currency but when there are so few spots where you can use it then it is normal that people try to find other uses for it, but do not worry eventually this is going to change, we just need more people to begin to accept cryptocurrencies as a form of payment.
let it going natural, dont ever trying to force another people using bitcoin.i am sure if bitcoin already in complete developtment people will interested by their self.they will need bitcoin to make financial transaction and also as investment.our duty just spread positive thing about bitcoin , spread about its benefit using bitcoin.and it will create natural demand.

If someone have something to sell he should be asked to accept Bitcoins as form of money. If someone wish to
buy something should buy Bitcoins. We can make pointers and show the way, but we can`t force people to do
something they don`t wish.
Bitcoin is slowly making a community of people who wish to buy and sell something for Bitcoins or other crypto-
currencies. This community is growing and we can`t force that grow, it should be slow and normal.

It will be time, all people in next 10-15 years will turn out in to crypto users. Just buy pop corn and watch...
it could happen that no one can know the development of crypto currencies or the economy no one can know the certainty if the legality for crypto currencies has been given to all countries of course crypto currencies will grow rapidly
I think the country must know the condition of their country, so they can emulate developed countries to legalize bitcoin. we know that some of the big countries legalize it. and on average they have high human resources. so we easily find transactions using the BTC there

Bitcoin BTC can be a currency only if its price is stable.
I don't think so. Did you know the history of swiss frank? We know a few years ago swiss frank lost his big value. So what, is it not currency? I know, you could say it was an accident. And the accident could have happened everywhere. And lastly, I will say with you Bitcoin is not currency its a digital currency. Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

How can we get people to use bitcoin as a real currency and not just a quick way to get cash as a lot of people seem to do? When I say currency, I mean the literal definition of currency as something that is used as a medium of exchange.
Even online, there are only a few stores who are accepting it as payment.
Crypto currency can be used by anyone with the most common requirements being legality issues from government and recognition as crypto currency as the applicable currency for the applicable currency
For me this is not an issue to avoid using crypto as money, we can use it all over the world people from all around the world are participating here but I have never seen anyone complaining about legal issues so I am using it and I am happy now it has become very common so price will get higher this way so bi think this process should keep on going smoothly.
But as a currency we may need to have legally approved by the governments then only all shops will accept bitcoin as a currency then we also can spend it.

But for using bitcoin we need no one's permission just use it everywhere when you have internet.

I think if the large number of store, shopping mall and companies used cryptocurrency then a large number of people start to use bitcoin as a currency.
You have a point but how do we get these large and influential stores, companies etc to adopt Bitcoin into their payment system. I think it is only through the relentless effort from crypto users towards effective awareness creation that will get these big stores to adopt Bitcoin. Users must start suggesting Bitcoin payment to these stores after making purchase from them and gradually, these stores will give it a second thought and adopt it since that is what customers want.

Agreed. Just after I saw the topic I thought exactly the same.
Honestly I'm a little surprised that newbie said that. Generally all newbies have very optimistic thoughts about bitcoin usage over the globe  Cheesy
Bitcoin's price should to jump so fast and deeply to people use it in daily life. Currently everyone concentrated on its trading in search of fast profit due to sharply unstable price.

Exactly. Most newbies talk positive about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies due to their lack of knowledge among the space. Of course, not all newbies are the same, but the majority only believes on Bitcoin as a speculative instrument or as a tool for making profit. The high volatility of Bitcoin makes it difficult to be used as a currency daily. Only with regulations across the crypto market, Bitcoin's price could be stabilized.

Also, fees need to stay as low as possible for transactions to be practical within the mainstream world. Transaction confirmation times is another thing to have into consideration when using Bitcoin as a currency. If we want to attract as many people as we'd like, we need to show them the benefits of Bitcoin relative to traditional Fiat currency. Most people are afraid because of scams and hacks, but proper education will allow them to use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies wisely.

With this, people would get to use Bitcoin as a currency. Otherwise, it will be considered as an asset and a speculative instrument that's only useful for making profit, instead of a real currency for the mainstream world. Just my opinion Smiley

it may be very difficult if there is no support from the government in the development of crypto currencies. All can easily happen if the crypto currency is legal because the legality of the government can change bad views of crypto currencies and everyone can use crypto currencies easily and easily
Cryptocurrency price movements are not dependent on the government, only new traders are easily affected by bad news from the government that makes cryptocurrency prices not develop because they think the government can master the movement of bitcoin prices, even though it will never be done by the government if all traders can understand the purpose of creating bitcoin.

I've always seen bitcoin more as an investment that has properties of a currency, but I've never been a big fan of actually using it as money.

I think it is very honest and true statement I have seen from one of the senior most member of the forum.  Otherwise people do not dare being so honest accepting this truth.  And I think most of the people buy bitcoin with the intention of getting some profit when the price rise.  There may be rare cases when investor buying it for using as currency.

I think that bitcoin is only digital money that everyone does not know except for certain people and many also agree if bitcoin is currency and not in my opinion

Bitcoin is already a currency but it is not yet really used like the fiat currencies. The reason is that it is not yet supported everywhere as a payment method either online or offline. That is why people still considering Bitcoin mainly as an asset, they trade and hold it for making good profits.
the most important thing for the currency is the legality and recognition of the government and everyone as a legitimate currency used by everyone and thus crypto currency can be used in any payment

The most efficient way is to show people how to transact using bitcoin. That way, they will make their own judgments about the advantages and disadvantages of bitcoin as a currency. Don't force them to use bitcoin because it will make them hate Bitcoin more. For them to be curious so that curiosity can make them start using bitcoin as the currency used for various transactions.

oh that's strange .  how can he jump into the blockchain without knowing crypto first ? we all know that crypto first came out before blockchain became popular . his blockchain skills would have become totally useless if he wont be interested on crypto's because crypto and blockchain must be a perfect tandem at all times  .
Blockchain is a system and crypto is something that use this Blockchain technology. It's really different and it's really strange that you have to know crypto before to know what Blockchain is. Maybe his professor is interested with the Blockchain technology but doesn't really care with the crypto itself, that's acceptable.

crypto currency can make people believe and use of course it all relates to the legality of the government the possibility that if the government has formalized crypto currency of course everyone will use it too
Even though some countries have made a conclusion to legalize cryptocurrency but in the reality some people doesn't seem interested with cryptocurrency because they might think that "Why would I even need this kind of thing? Where I already have this flat money" and such.
True , my professor who has extra ordinary knowledge in blockchain technology isn't actually interested in crypto currency . He always tells me he doesn't like it and would use blockchain in many other beneficial ways.

between blockchain and crypto is different. blockchain can stand alone without crypto, but this cannot be done without blockchain crypto. coincidentally, the two evolved together, so many of the crypto assumptions were blockchain
