or better yet, not invest at all in these ICOs. wait for them to hit in the exchanges and you can get them dirty cheap as compared to their ico prices. that is, if you believe a particular project. don't buy a coin that has no probability of increasing its price.

Yep this market is full of scams. Not only this market every market where money transaction is high you will find many kind of scams. In this market you will find ico scams and and hacks and many more. The only way to get out of this scams are gathering knowledge. You just have to do some research or think about your steps. Don't take fast decision take time and think about it then go for any investment. And when you investing in a project just do some research on your own. That is the only way out.

There is little to what the government, organizations or any body can do to combat the issue of scam. Although, if these scammers are caught, they will surely be prosecuted.
This is where we all are to come in and where we are responsible for ourselves.

in my opinion it is very difficult to recognize a scam project especially as it seems that it is still a beginner. But usually I ask friends by giving the site pages and also maintaining account confidentiality and being careful of phising links

I thought about it more than once, but from my own experience I can say that it is not as easy to define a project as the majority thinks. A project that collected 100 million, the envinion was scam. This is very sad and in this case we can only rely on the honesty of people.

I heard too many scam stories last year, it make me even fear to download wallet now. I used to join all the bounties or airdrop that I could found, but now I would research long time for bounties, and I also avoid download wallet, because the fear of PC hackers and scammers. I am not sure if there is any good solution for that in the future.
