Even if we have a way to prevent scam, still scammers would find a new way to victim us. I think the best way now is to not thrust anyone immediately, especially for the transactions that involves payment, scammers are so smart in that way.

Avoid depositing funds for those "extra" tokens during their ICO. Although we might have submitted our KYC documents because we had to do the same for exchanges and airdrops, at least we don't part with our money.

One ICO that went poof was Superbloom. And that time it was offering extra SEED tokens if members were to deposit ETH.

There is no way we can be totally immune we scam, but I think ICOs scam can be reduced is there is a regulation in place to protect investors and projects should not launch an ICO if they don't have a good working prototype to show the genuine purpose of the project.

There are too many scam projects these days, but with well research about the pojects,r it can help you detect scam projects, although here are many projects that seems good but at the end they turned scam.
Actually they are scam, but they have a perfect cover and make us fooled. 95% of ICO is scam since 2017. You can see in coinmarket when there are thousands of altcoin in 2018 scam
indeed, we are looking for a needle on the bottom of the ocean, to find the right project, we have to trace it to the bottom sometimes the results are far from what we expected. hopefully 2019 can change for the better

It should be clearly understood that the most reliable information about the ICO project can be obtained only if you check everything yourself, otherwise false data about the project can be slipped

The most important thing you should know is that all investments have risks. There is no investor who can be safe from risk, but if you want to ask how to protect from a scam? The answer is that you must see the project / ICO from all aspects such as: Team, Roadmap, WhitePaper, Community Assessment, etc.

Try to learn a lot of information about the project before taking part in it. I mean research this forum, rating websites, third party agencies and so on. And then start researching info about the project from its website, whitepaper, social media.

The crypto world is so vast and they are interest from all continents of the world. Some investors / projects came with good intentions to make the world a better place while some to defraud investors and projects founder. Can we have a better way correct scam and lapses?

Due diligence will avoid us from scam coins and tokens.
It will be good if we doing our own research about the project before we want to invest on the project.
Without proper research, we will have more chance to getting scammed and lose our money later.

In fact, there are not many options, but they are, if we are talking about security of your assets, then you should always check the sites where you go and the degree of protection of this site, also if it is a cache, then you should never tell anyone your private the key and basically that's all
First of all, you need to be very careful so that your personal information and secret keys and passwords do not fall into the wrong hands. To date, we are participating in the company Bounty ethereum Classic Vision and a little more time is left before we see the pollinosis of this project.

Everyone is and should work towards protecting themselves from scam. You can be too sure if anyone will be doing it for you in all sincerity, so you gave to devote your time and effort to do some research that will give you confidence over the project.
When you are not sure of the authenticity of a project, do not bother to move close to it.

Scamers are very smart people and to avoid them we have to be very smart too because they are set of people that are working round the clock to outsmart people and defraud them of their hard earned altcoin and assets, so when dealing we have to be very careful and make sure we ask question when things aren't clear to us so as not to fall victim.

The mistake we make sometimes is just investing in a project before any tangible research. It is more like putting the cart after the horse, which is my opinion is very wrong. Although, it is not that easy to detect some scam projects, which is why we need to devote quality time to research every project we intend investing in, so as to get quality project. This in my opinion is very essential.

As I understand it now, many projects, such as the DESICO project that promised and guaranteed no scam, turned out to be a scam project because they refuse to pay for the work of the bounty hunters. It's terrible, today there are still no decent projects.

Especially for the ico project, it is very difficult to protect themselves from scams. everything will look good at the start of the period, but everything will change in the middle of the running ico, according to the target or not? if not, in the middle of the period it could be said to be a failure.
of course to avoid it more carefully, but sometimes even caution will still be fooled. knowing more deeply and finding out about the project have all been done but are still exposed to fraud and maybe it is his destiny and has not got good luck. but it will be better before you try to avoid trying to stay away from him to prevent before fraud occurs if you are still cheated, trying to be calm and be patient there will definitely be the best answer from the other side.

Firstly, you have to be willing to be willing to put in the hard work to do an extensive research on the project, because that is the only way you can get to know better about the project. Then speak to expert on your findings.  You might be lucky to stumble upon any lapses.
