I want to start out trading altcoins but don't know where to start.  I don't have much money because I am a student.

Should I put my money in low cost coins such as NEM or should I put it in higher cost coins such as litecoin?
Should I spend $10 on each coin? $20?
Should I try a few ICOs?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you
I think the best option for you is to invest in a few not very expensive but promising ICOs.

With $ 200, I think that you will be trading for a very long time, if you do not lose your deposit, because I believe that now the market has a lateral movement and as a rule traders do not work in the sideways movement of the market, they just go on vacation.

And I am almost sure that 200 dollars is a good sum of money for a newbie. before risking with bigger sums, it is better to understand the rules of the cryptomarket. Just invest in cheap but stable coins like Cardano.

I think that $200 is a good amount to start trading. This amount is not so pity to lose, but it can bring you profit. A novice should not begin to trade in large amounts, because without experience he will lose any amount.

I think if you want to start trading, for the first choic is ETH,
ETH's price is very stable and keep growing these days,
So, if you wanna do long term investment, $200 is very worth to invest on ETH

Depends, its up to you and if you are willing to risk a bigger amount. Better go in safer trades with bigger amounts to try to grow your portfolio faster.

Many people recommend starting with smaller altcoins that are usually more volatile.

So, what's the recommended amount to start hodling? Would $200 be enough?

Just pick up one ICO with 0.2-3 ETH minimal individual cap and invest in, then sell tokens at the right timing...that may challenging(it's rare to see such ind caps), but you may strongly increase your 200$

I think that with a sum of 200USD it will be more interesting to trade on altcoins from one side and Bitcoin or Ethereum on the other side of a pair. I would do it in a such way. And of course don’t put all the money for one trading pair.

You have to set up your future plan. Your aim is the most sensitive matter for this system. You have to know all thing thing perfectly for investing into a coin because if you don't know how to trading then you can not able to get any type of benefit and it will be very narrow for you. there are many altcoins which coin price is not so high and you have to select them which price is less but reputation is very good.

You can get much profit from these coin and have to hold these money for big investment. If you can invest your money into bitcoin with your money of profit then you can see that your future will great. Start with a small investment and keep it up. One day you will have the ability to invest a big amount if you can do all the work perfectly.

I know that pain when I started.
I doubted myself that I can grow my first investment to trading but charge to experience. My very first trade ended satisfying although I lost some bucks but I've learned on it immediately.
If you dont have a knowlodge in trading i suggest you should invest on promising ico but be careful and choose those legit project and backed by community
Good idea. Before I don't have choice but to push myself to get in with trading because I don't have any other choice or alternative.

I know that pain when I started. Yeah its very hard to invest with $200 under all those fees. I think it is best to invest some very bright coin from 200-400 list, then wait for that specific coin to shine...

Adequate knowledge and research is the key to multiplying your investment in trading
Do not be in a hurry to earn,Trading is quite risky, ensure you acquire knowledge on what it entails and have an option of investing into ICO,your $200 can be 10x with ICO unlike trading that you can loss all in a transaction.

Of course, I can. there are even people who start trading below that amount. well, I've also done trading with less amount of it to try and try. with the amount of $ 200, I think you can make a pretty good profit. you can start by sending the money you have to a trusted exchanger.

Trading $200 is okay, because many are applying this kind of scenario but you need to always consider the risk of this kind of trading because in some ways trading can also be the one to let your profit low so you also need to consider the situation of that trading.

It depend on your aims. At first you should ask yourself "What i whant to earn from crypto trading"? If you want to earn in long term it nowday is a good time to invest 20$ in 10 perspective coins. If you understand nothing in trading i think it is the best way. If you want to earn every day a little money you should study a lot and trade a small lots but in will not be easy.
With a small amount of capital, we can not have a high profit immediately, if luck is invested in you are only double the original capital but it is not big to become a productive person. money, or choose places with good development grounds for investment such as Ethereum, etc. because of these coins have a rock-solid foundation

Well the good news is you are now open to investing, even better is you have chosen the fastest platform to grow your money. I just commend you for being brave and willing to take a risk. My advice based on my experience is you can minimize the risk if you will diversify. Yes, I get that there a lot of stable coins out there but they're too costly to gain such profit. But at least these coins are stable enough and you can research about their trends. I would suggest you look at the new coins being traded but be cautious coz you might end up having some in your bags for the long time.

Trading with $200 is a complete waste of time and opportunities. Try it with at least $2000.

Your strategy depends on what you earn. In gambling even if your money is only $ $ you can do it thousands if you're good at strategy. Of course you need patience and knowledge. Likewise in trading. Find out what you buy and wait for it to rise, That way you will earn a million or more.

For investment this amount is too small, I would advise you with such a sum not to pay attention to the purchase of cryptocurrency but to understand and do bounty programs, they will give you at the initial stage a much greater impact in development than an investment of $ 200. But in any case, you can buy bitcoin, at least not much of it.
