Btc is a very good coin for future investment no doubt but I prefer to trade and hold altcoins, I feel altcoins can give me more profit at the long run than btc since I don't have enough money to buy large amount of btc, I have all my portfolio in altcoins waiting patiently for the alts season.

People trust Bitcoin more than any of the altcoins. BTC is the first of the other cryptocurrencies that have appeared, the popularity and prevalence is a logical consequence of its long existence. There are no major scandals associated with bitcoin, unlike the same popular ethereum.
Bitcoin has a relatively simple and transparent blockchain that causes users to trust.

Sovryn - Brings DeFi to Bitcoin
The present situation of things with BTC and ETH is given me joy. I can't risk trading my precious BTC for any altcoins at all. I'm taking my profit everyday. I will suggest that anyone that's trying to trade any coin, should consider maximizing the present pump in BTC. If possible make
sure you distribute your coins among BTC and ETH alone. And profit is guaranteed for the nearest future. Bitcoin to the world.

With the latest uptake in BTC and ETH prizes they are dominating my portfolio. XRP (which I've kept for a long time and thought about selling a lot of times) are now at last seeing a upswing.

Whats your take on XRP moving forward?

around 65% of my portfolio is in bitcoin and 20% is in ETH and the rest I invested in altcoins, I put a little money into altcoins because I saw the movement of altcoins that were less effective this year

I am not holding any BTC in my portfolio because in altcoins there are higher profit margins scope in short term investment.
Too bad for you, you're missing the run that bitcoin has since yesterday. Bitcoin reached another all-time high and it's $22k. Things have happened very fast and if you're good with your alts, they may come after the bull run of bitcoin. But we have no idea when it will come. Bitcoin isn't really for short term investment but if you happen to change your mind and you want to take long term for bitcoin, you're always free to do it.

My advise to you even you like short term investments through altcoins, get a chunk of your profit and do cost averaging by buying bitcoin. In that case, you still don't miss the time whenever bitcoin goes bullish.

Your coins selection is very good I hope the coins you are holding at the moment will most probably give you huge profit in coming times on the other hand Btc is in bullish mode and I hope it will more rise. I believe in somedays Alts will also move like BTC because BTC dominance is quite high at the moment. When Btc will consolidate altcoins will also move. My 95% of the holding is in altcoins.

Nowadays I usually leave 75% in Bitcoin and 25% in major altcoins like Litecoin and others, but I confess that I usually vary every year or every season. So being focused only on one strategy generates attachment and it will be difficult to adapt in a different market than we used to.

Adapting is the way.

How many percent do you keep in BTC versus altcoins?

Atm I have 35% BTC then a big chunk of ETH and a handfull of other altcoins (see distribution below)

https://altpocket.io/profile/Octular

BTC feels much safer at the same time as I see a big upside in the altcoins compared to historical levels.
I have just same portfolio just like you but im mostly in eth then bitcoin then tron and then others. My main focus and choice always have been bitcoin and ethereum.

My first cryptocurrency takes 20%.  The rest are altos, and they are always different, because I like to trade and not hold.  Well, of course, I try to take only from the top ten.

I am waiting for an alt party in the beginning of 2021. Today we have seen Bitcoin ATH. It is a little bit risky but in my portfolio 30% BTC, %50 alts and 20% USDT right now. I am trying to leave UST for massive dumps so I can buy more alts or Bitcoin on lower prices.

If Bitcoin lets, we can see an alt party in 1 month. That's why I have altcoins more. We will see...

My first choice is Bitcoin is 30 percent. This is my long term investment and it helps me to make more profit. Of course the second choice is Ethereum is 25 percent. If necessary, I spend it. The other alt-coins are box captive. Because we do not exchange these without big profits. However, there is 20 percent for trading.

At the moment, I have almost all investments in altcoins and only a little bit in bitcoin, but when there will be correction of the entire cryptocurrency market, I think that I will invest the most in bitcoin, because I think that in 2021 bitcoin will reach new heights, and also I will invest in Ethereum, because I think 2021 will also be a very good year for Ethereum.

distribute portfolio is one of the great strategies in cryptocurrency investment,
because if you focus on just one cryptocurrency, you will miss another moment,
your choice of placing your 35% capital in bitcoin is correct,
I hope you will be 65% assigned to the best altcoins, good luck.

Btc is very good but I prefer ETH, I am 60% in ETH. I believe ETH Will bring more profit on the long run than btc, so i am in ETH 60% and the rest of my investment is in alts. Looking forward to add more ETH when the opportunity surface.

I'm i big ETH believer as well.
It will be interesting to see how ETH 2.0 will drive usage.

I focus on earning more bitcoin and ethereum at this moment. I believe that bitcoin and ethereum have a big chance to increase, and the price of bitcoin can finally break $20k. It is a big moment for us to see this price can break the high price, and the price still increases now. I am sure that many people who wait for this moment already sell their bitcoin and make a big profit.

Only two coins that I have in my portfolio Bitcoin (70%)and Ethereum (30%). I have some bounty rewards before but I traded them to BTC and ETH.
I'd never use to have a number of coins in my wallet, and I discourage to hold numerous coins because of market volatility and the confidence that I have with these 2 different coins which I can't see to the others. And other reason also is that Bitcoin and Ethereum can be my long-term investment because I know and actually believing that their price will grow more in the future.
