I am not holding any BTC in my portfolio because in altcoins there are higher profit margins scope in short term investment.
It's only in the short term that you don't choose Bitcoin and only choose Altcoins. Okay, why do you still have doubts about Bitcoin in terms of profit? is Bitcoin unsuitable to hold in the short term so you don't choose it?

I don't know, but majority of my portfolio belongs to BTC. And then I have some altcoins, not shit coins, those altcoins that are in the top 10.

Of course, you can play around with a lot of shitcoin and wait till it pump and dump but the risk is greater. That's why I've put it in a conservative way. Specially today that bitcoin and alts are really into a rally, so I expect them to grow next year 2021.
You have a good investment strategy by concentration on bitcoin but you are wrong if you think altcoins in top 10 of marketcap are not shitcoins. Their ranks change by their price and their total supply. Dogecoin is a good example, it does not jump to the top 10 but top 20 sometimes on coinmarketcap. Dogecoin has very huge total supply and any pumps can help it jumps fastly on the ranking table. Coins in top 10 also change chronologically and they are not in a fixed list.

Top 10 can help you don't get scammed because those projects don't have scam exit but to say they can help you get profits, it is very different. Investment is related to general market (bull or bear) and your entry price. Ripple is an example, how long does it take for Ripple to recover back to its recent peak? One year or longer and in that one year, many investors lost their capital by cutloss, liquidations with Ripple.

In Search of Incredible
Bitcoin having nearly three quarters of my portfolio. Like you said btc feels much safer than altcoins, cause alts price fluctuatea a lot. That's why I like btc. Though there are few more facts for giving priority to bitcoin much. Beside btc I have ltc, eth and doge in my portfolio.

I always keep it 50% or above and the rest were combinations of altcoins. Well it depends on the investor what his portfolio but this were my combinations I just want to keep Bitcoin to have the highest percentage of my investment.

Bitcoin is always above 50% with me or more than. Altcoins have not shown the kind of last time bull and that is why I changed to reduce the investment for altcoins. Now Bitcoin has made double of profit since the always of the year. Is always good to hodl more bitcoin for sure.

This is the most efficient way to manage your portfolio. Investing more in altcoins right now is a bit dangerous, There's no assurance that altcoin will follow to BTC once BTC rally again. The only thing certain on this crypto market was the chance of altcoins to dump is high no matter what will be the move of BTC. Once uncertainty and doubt occur in general market. I'm sure that altcoins will hit heavily compared to BTC.

The rally have already began, if you aren't into Bitcoin some months ago Its now unsafe or more risky to invest on, the safer option is altcoins, when I say altcoins I mean the popular coins like top 10 to top 20, two months ago I will have invested 60% on bitcoin and 40% on altcoins but if it's a must to invest now I will invest 20% on bitcoin and the rest on altcoins

Maybe you should increase the percentage to invest in bitcoin by about 25% or 30% and the rest on altcoins. This time, if bitcoin rises, I guess the price will break $19k and even it could jump to $20k. But that is only a prediction, and no one will know about that. But it is okay if you still use 20% on bitcoin and the rest on altcoin because we are free to use any percentage that we want to be based on how big our funds.

How many percent do you keep in BTC versus altcoins?

Atm I have 35% BTC then a big chunk of ETH and a handfull of other altcoins (see distribution below)

BTC feels much safer at the same time as I see a big upside in the altcoins compared to historical levels.
You have chosen a very good choice in this case, so there is no need to doubt the coins and Altcoins that you have chosen, but you should also know that in general people have their own choices so there is a difference, and it's all done. based on analysis and what they have felt before.

I put less on bitcoin since I'm not interesting to bet on the long term. I was putting more amounts into the altcoin like XRP, LINK, I have bought Wozniak coin a few days ago and this time I'm getting almost 200% return from there.
I personally never interested to bet more into the major coins as it takes a lot of time to be very volatile compared with altcoin.
Other than XRP(bet on the spark and will sell my XRP after snapshot asap), LINK and WOZX and I have more altcoins in my portfolios.
