your thoughts on btc are true actually . its more safer because men that was btc but if you think it was safe why would you only put 35 percent and why not 50 or over 50 percent . you only put 35 percent so i think that the rest 65 goes to altcoins ( or it goes like this 50 percent to eth then 15 percent to smaller alts ) . my portfolio goes like this , 70 percent to btc and 30 percent to altcoins  . btc is my main coin and my serious investment but the rest are just my toys or my not so serious investment . i want to see if im lucky enough on those picks

Bitcoin is just 20% of my portfolio, I have much concentration on alts like BCH, ETH, XRP and flipping it consistently for better gains. Most times it's best to have huge capital to make big gains from Bitcoin but with little capital you can make good profit with alts.

I distribute my portfolio 40% Bitcoin, 40% altcoin and 20% USDT. This is how I distribute my portfolio all the time. Bitcoin pump and dump, whatever it is, my profit is usually something. I save profit by pumping bitcoin. If I dump bitcoin, I buy 20% from usdt. I always use stop loss when taking any trade. Stop loss must be used when taking any type of trade.

I keep my investment portfolio at 60/40 ratio. My profit is on both sides. If there is a possibility of bitcoin being dumped, I will keep it as usdt. Let's buy a specified point bitcoin. Even if I pump bitcoin, I take profit by usdt.
Everyone has their own way of maintaining their investment portfolio, so they also know what they have to do to get profit from two different sides, so do all your work according to what you already understand in crypto.

I am sure there will definitely many one who have more BTC than Altcoins, it is understandable because BTC much safer than Altcoins, I myself like that and the Altcoins I have more from bounties a few years ago as well as some ICO coins that have no value. BTC and ETH still a good choice if want to hold for a years, the history price said that.

Distributing your portfolio in different coins is directly influenced by your risk appetite, someone with a high risk and high reward kind of mindset will always have more altcoins and upcoming project's coin in their portfolio. While someone who doesn't want to take much risks will always prefer to have more stable coins and solid coins like ETH, BTC, XRP in their portfolio.

You have to decide how much risk you are able to take and based on that you can distribute. I personally keep 70% solid coins which is unequally distributed among bitcoins, eth and some others while 30% constitutes for other coins which I believe will be big like DOT and others.

It kind of changes when you look at it from dollar perspective. When I first started it was 50% btc, 25% eth and rest was in other stuff, today it is more like nearly 80% and now about 75% with recent fall is in btc, not because I changed much but because the increase in price made it that way, bitcoin went up nearly double compared to when I invested, and even though ethereum and others went up as well bitcoin just went up earlier.

Ethereum did recovered a bit, and now it is at around a good level again, but all other ones are doing not so well at all right now. I know there are some good coins that made profit but I got involved with some defi stuff and some contracts got burned bla bla bla long story short I am basically at 75% btc and 25% ethereum right now mainly with only just a tiny bit amount for rest, under 1% right now.

70/30.
70 for Bitcoin of course and 30 for Altcoins which includes Ethereum in it.
I like to hold it as long as I can. Meaning as I am still alive or not weak yet.
I'll pass it on to my kids or if they are not interested, they could just cash it out for whatever reasons they want to do with it.
Although along the way I am still cashing out some.
Gotta make my wife happy too at some ways.  Grin

I have less BTC compare to the tokens I am staking. Its all about making extra money for me which is why I'm into staking my money for the tokens I'm investing. But I do have BTC as well but not much. Many will suggest to just keep BTC since prices can rise up faster than altcoins but my staking had saved me during the winter season of altcoins. I'm already happy with the few BTC I hold which is about 25% but I'm also accumulating them through joining campaigns.

I don't touch my bitcoin. If i find a way to spend them and buy something i need, I buy an equivalent amount in fiat. Other than that, I buy small amounts I am comfortable with.
Around 30% of that amount, i keep reserved in the hope of finding some projects that actually look like they have devs behind them who want to do something awesome. These hopes generally turned out to be unfounded (atleast they have in the last few years). So now I just put a target price with respect to bitcoin and sell the alts when that hits. Slow accumulation.

How many percent do you keep in BTC versus altcoins?

Atm I have 35% BTC then a big chunk of ETH and a handfull of other altcoins (see distribution below)

https://altpocket.io/profile/Octular

BTC feels much safer at the same time as I see a big upside in the altcoins compared to historical levels.
I don't want to hold Bitcoin even though I know its value will increase in the future but I want to increase my assets many times, so I usually only speculate on altcoins during bull run.

Since I dont have much capital, it is imperative that I speculate and trade often to increase my assets faster. I know the risks are quite high but don't worry, I have my own trading strategy and always use stop loss.

My portfolio currently only has FTMs, because it just came out with news and their Staking Tools will definitely increase demand for coins. Read the news at the link below:

I always distribute my funds the same way. I allocate 50% for Bitcoin, 20% for Ethereum and I divide the 30% for altcoins that have huge potential. I usually take advantage of the red market so accumulating during this time would be a big risk. As for me, knowing where and when to invest would be a big help in deciding our investment's allocation and distribution

In my case, I only distribute 30% of my capital in bitcoin and the rest where distributed to the altcoins that I trust to hold and I stock more or less 8 altcoins in my portfolio.
I want to know that the best investment option during this time is to always go all in Bitcoin.
1) The market bullish will be determined by the Bitcoin trend.
2) Altcoin market are very manipulated and if you don't have good knowledge in altcoin trading having 8 altcoins in your portfolio is never a good opinion.
With that been said, my portfolio only consists of BTC, ETH and stablecoin.

currently, I only own 100% altcoins. which, it could be said that I was late in depositing bitcoins. besides that, I also mostly use ethereum as a fee, and another reason is that the price is quite affordable. however, I'm still working on owning altcoins for now.

Actually I am 100% in BTC for now since it's too volatile to invest it in other altcoin. I will only invest in altcoin if I know that there is a event that will happen to that altcoin then I will buy at cheaper and wait for the event to happen before I sell with profit mostly.

The only good thing i see in altcoin is they can give you high gain compared to what Bitcoin can give for short term.

The ups and downs of crypto prices are only normal in the market but with regards to distribution, I decided to risk my money more in altcoins even if bitcoin dominance is still pretty high knowing that it is sitting at 62%.

In my case, I only distribute 30% of my capital in bitcoin and the rest where distributed to the altcoins that I trust to hold and I stock more or less 8 altcoins in my portfolio.

Most of what I have in my portfolio is definitely bitcoin. Probably most of us are the same, having more bitcoin than altcoins in our portfolio and there's no question about that. I cannot really tell the exact percentage of it but I prioritize bitcoin over altcoins. Though I also have some altcoins in my portfolio that I trust like eth and bnb.

I have now 80% BTC and 20% alts and I am quite unhappy about this ratio.
At some point (possibly in 2017) the ratio was 66% BTC and 33% altcoins, but in time the value of my altcoins has dropped by a great deal and never recovered properly (against Bitcoin).

Of course, meanwhile I've also stashed a bit more Bitcoin too.

I have bought some bitcoins Q1 this year and i have sold that at 19500 each. Im feeling worried when the bitcoin market. The mtgox investors is the main reason why i have sold my bitcoin and im all in altcoin right now.
IDK whether i will try to get into bitcoin again or not. Im still waiting for the mtgox's decision to the more than 100k bitcoins. it's too risky to bet into the bitcoin right now.
Im all in altcoin.
