How many percent do you keep in BTC versus altcoins?

Atm I have 35% BTC then a big chunk of ETH and a handfull of other altcoins (see distribution below)

https://altpocket.io/profile/Octular

BTC feels much safer at the same time as I see a big upside in the altcoins compared to historical levels.

I keep 80% of Bitcoin in my portfolio and 20% are altcoin that I buy during ICO, IEO and participate in bounty, because in my opinion Bitcoin is the best choice for long-term investment and of course Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency, therefore I prefer to invest in Bitcoin.

I used to have more altcoins in my portfolio that was two years ago and Bitcoin is on a big slump but before the halving I made sure that I have more Bitcoin than altcoins, it helps to accumulate more Bitcoin now that I am on Bitvest signature campaign where I get paid Bitcoin, having a campaign that pays Bitcoin is such a big blessing.

I generally keep my investments in eth. But other than that, altcoins that I like are in question in my investments. Sometimes I make shit coins investments that I like, or if it pays off. It is not clear at all, unexpected projects can come at unexpected prices.
Agreed with it and i have made decent profit from the shitcoins too. This shitcoins will always be pumping when the market shows the gree trend. You might see how so many shit coins are getting ressurected again. The coins like swissborg or utrust have proven it to be the true story
Im also putting small money into the shitcoins too lol

my personal portfolio is :
50% BTC
20% ETH
10% BNB
10% YOUC
5% CTSI
5% UBT
I chose 50% of my portfolio to invest in Bitcoin because I think investing in Bitcoin is safer and more profitable (Bitcoin price will always increase higher than altcoin price).

Another usual things with funds is saying that no individual holding can constitute more than X% of the portfolio but apart from that it's spread evenly distrbuted on the basis of market cap i.e. creating your own index of top 10 or top 15.

It takes some efforts to keep it in shape though. One would have to do continuous reallocations, but apart from that the index aspect is quite interesting.

I keep Bitcoin 50% of the total capital I have, the remaining 50% is stored in altcoins. I feel Bitcoin is very safe for investment,
so 50% saving in Bitcoin would be the right decision. But everyone must have a different strategy, I would not blame if someone
disagreed with me. Because there is a possibility that my decision will be wrong, but until now I am still very optimistic by saving
50% of the capital I have in Bitcoin is the right decision.
most people will create a portfolio like this. owns 50% bitcoins, and 50% altcoins but is divided from several popular altcoins. well, to be honest I also had a portfolio like that until I made the portfolio that I have is 100% altcoins. Well, to be honest because of the low price, I feel that the potential of altcoins is really good at the moment.

Anything can happen dude, I have bought that CHSB at 0.02 and i remember if i thought it has no future and it will be a garbage coin but i was wrong about that.
A year later and it can go back again to the moon. I have got a very big profit from there almost 5x ROI from my initial investment.
There will always be possibility for sure.

Distribute to your own liking, do not let other peoples portfolio change your mind. I mean they are not your boss anyway and there is no reason why you should let them boss you around with their ideas. I understand that many people have bitcoin as the main coin for example, I do have it like that too, mainly btc in fact, but I wouldn't mind a portfolio that has ETH mainly for example, I think that is fine too, or maybe even EOS or Tron or BNB who knows.

I have a friend who has BNB as his main coin and he collects as much of it as possible, stakes and pools and whatever with it to make it go higher and higher, which is totally fine to me as well. So, do not really look at what others do and think thats the only way, keep grinding your own method and that will work well for you too.

Heres mine. I hold 50% of my crypto asset in Bitcoin. Then the rest is in USDT, ETH, TRON, LTC, XRP, & WAVES. Why Bitcoin? Because it is widely used and accepted for encashing into fiat. I hold alts as it gives higher growth rate of investment.

50% of my holdings are also in Bitcoin. I have been doing that for years. It may take a long run but at least I have an assurance that I would gain a good profit in time. Aside from my Bitcoin holding, I'm also allocating some of it for Ethereum and a single part of it for active altcoins. As for me, investing with potential coins that we trust would be a good allocation instead of risking our funds to new coins these days.

I always keep it 50% or above and the rest were combinations of altcoins. Well it depends on the investor what his portfolio but this were my combinations I just want to keep Bitcoin to have the highest percentage of my investment.
Yeah, fifty percent is a good share, everyone knows what works for them,. Sometimes I go for that fifty percent for Bitcoin and fifty for the rest. The reason I prefer to invest more in Bitcoin is because it seems to be more profitable for me than altcoins, although if you invest in the right altcoins you will make profit.

How many percent do you keep in BTC versus altcoins?
Altcoins are not really my thing, I prefer investing money in Bitcoin and just a small amount in altcoins. More than seventy percent of my money is in Bitcoin while the remaining ones are altcoins; Ethereum, XRP and Stellar. I had ChainLink on the list earlier but I sold when the price went up and only these four are left in my wallet. Then there are some tokens I claimed for free that are stored on Binance, but I will be selling them soon for Ethereum.

Coins with large market capitalization, daily trade volume, and liquidity is a must when it comes to distributing majority portion of your portfolio. The lower altcoins usually are high risk high return which also means you could lose it anytime so it's advised to just distribute small portion of your portfolio into these coins.
However, staking could also be an effective way to double your profit if you try to hodl for a long time. Though, there's no real best practice when it comes to distributing portfolio, it all depends on you.

I dont have enough money to invest in BTC, my portfolio distribution is about 50% in ETH, 10% in XRP, the other 40 percent is dynamic, today it could be several kinds of coin, and over time it could be one or several others.
you can even use a few dollars to buy bitcoin. That doesn't mean that you must have spent a lot of money to buy bitcoin. When you can't afford to buy 1 bitcoin and you can buy that in satoshi.
It looks like you are putting the rest into the random coin and why don't you just try to put some from these percentages into the bitcoin?
it will be a good idea too and then you can put the rest into the another coin.
Okay,i admit i am greedy. I agree that buying BTC is less risky than buying other coins, but in the mean time it also means the profit may reduce, that is why i took this strategy.
It doesn't matter if you invest as long as it is on top coins, looking for something safe. at least because bitcoin price is not affordable and also XRP has a high percentage of profit, I think it's a pretty successful investment. and also, investing is not only bitcoin, there are many other options

No one can say what would be the optimum ratio of BTC and altcoins. It is something which depends on your attitude and the assets you have in your portfolio. Whether you are a risk taker of risk averse person, the amount of stable or base coins you have in your wallet, volatility of rest of the altcoins, etc., will be crucial in deciding the composition of your portfolio.

My btc % is not up to 10% because I trade with btc and withdraw in eth.. But I have a lot of Altcoins.
I don't add btc to my portfolio because I love to hold btc s much as I love to trade it.
