The death penalty must be in all countries to reduce the number of crimes. Criminals are not afraid of the threat to go to prison and continue to kill innocent people, and the death penalty will stop the majority.

Yes perhaps and at least it will help reduce thr number of criminality when the death penalty will be imposed once again.  Criminals are not that afraid on punishments because most often, they were being pardoned.  Sometimes the accusations against them become dismissed because the victims are no longer interested because it take so long.  Death penalty should be imposed on crimes that takes life.

I'm fine with an occasional execution but the reason why they're rushing these don't seem to be right.

I support the death penalty. Any liberal laws lead to more crimes. Migrant crisis in Europe also proves it. Only the presence of weapons among the population is holding back a huge amount of crime in the United States. Here you have all the liberalism.

You're in EU? Do all countries there really have unarmed police? I really found that surprising and baffling at the same time. I live in a third world country and none of our police here would be caught dead without a gun. (Whether the gun actually work properly is a different issue.)

Death penalty is very difficult issue, from political side, medical, social, philosophical, religious etc.
In case of war, to defend the nation and people, soldiers can shoot and kill the enemy.
However, what if we are not at war?
Does society have a moral right to apply the principle of an eye for an eye, tooth for tooth, life for life, as in the Old Testament?
In the most countries in the world today, answer is simple no.
They do not want to destroy human life, but to rehabilitate the person and allow repentance and new life.
I think that such way is much more humanistic than death penalty practice today in America.
If someone is too dangerous for society, it is clear that we will not let him out.

I share your views on rehabilitation but there are some people who really wouldn't change, hard that maybe to accept. Or maybe we just haven't found the proper tools. Neurology seem to offer solutions in the future.

For now though, we are stuck with criminals where some may repeat the offense or commit worse crimes later. Provided they were really proven guilty, I'm fine having capital punishment as a final resort, as a last option for really violent offenders. That or keep them locked up and on medications forever.

It depends on which country, but in general a lot of police in European countries do not carry weapons at the lower levels. They have mid level and higher level police units that ar emore specially trained that carry weapons.

Go watch some videos in France or Britain and see how they run away from mobs of people armed with knives, because they are not armed. They  are a disgrace in my opinion because how can they protect anyone like that. Might as well  not have them if they just run away.

Isn't that what Iraq is doing to ISIS? And all ISIS was doing was obeying the Koran.

The death penalty is bad for lots of reasons. But it also has indirect social benefits. It make people think twice to commit such crime if they will get death penalty as punishment.

The hardcore criminals needs to be taken out from the society, and death penalty is the only viable solution. Some people may argue for life without parole, but I am against it. There is always chances of jailbreaks and pardons.

I don't feel anything about the death penalty. If you commit bloody horrible crimes, you must take your medicine. What goes around, comes around. If we want to decrease crime rates, there should be more death penalty our legal system.

In the U.S. state of Arkansas for eleven days from 17 to 27 April - going execution of seven men sentenced to death. The reason for such haste is that at the end of the month expiration midazolam - medicines used for injections in the execution of the death penalty. Over the last ten years in Arkansas were not executed prisoners. The seven men were handed down death sentences in the period between 1990 and 2000, the years for murder, robbery and rape. Midazolam is one of the drugs used in the process of execution of a death sentence to the convicts fainted. In the US the use of this drug is considered controversial after 2014, one of the sentenced to death more than 40 minutes remained conscious after the injection of midazolam and died a painful death. European manufacturers of midazolam refuse to deliver to US an additional batch of the drug. Existing stocks will end shortly, so in Arkansas and hurry to execute the death penalty.
Up to this day the death penalty is still committed in various countries. The application of the death penalty is based on consideration of the gravity of the crime perpetrated by the perpetrator, especially the serious crimes that result in the loss of one or more lives,I agree to the death penalty for the criminals.

I don't like that idea because i am a Catholic but if the suspect killed at least 2 person without any reason at all, I will say it would be lawful to try this death penalty to him. But I am not God at all, who am i to judge.

Ahh... here again. What is wrong with you Catholics? Do you believe that the criminal has more rights when compared to the victim? Forgiveness is fine. But it can be done after handing our the sufficient amount of punishment to the perpetrator.
I think his reason is somewhat not agreeing to the so-called "Death" punishment but obviously as a Catholic, maybe there is a chance for the victim to change their ways, but I guarantee you that it would be unlikely. I'm torn in how I feel about the death penalty because some of the criminals deserve it.

I feel a somebody who has done murder or rape needs to be given death penalty. But for other offences they can be penalized with money. As of most of the thefts happen due to needs which they can't fulfill and we can't give them death penalty.

Death penalty is a must for the most brutal crimes. But we also must make sure that the perpetrators are detained. In most of the third world nations, if the criminal is having powerful connections, then it becomes almost impossible to detain him.
Once upon a time this was in America. This has led to the courts Lynch. All States go through it. When justice will administer the policy enraged people will understand that better when it is done by the courts and the rule of law in the country will be restored. I'm for the death penalty, but I think it would be better if the victim herself was able to protect itself and to punish the offender. That's why I have always supported the right to own guns.

If 10-12 criminals suddenly ambush a lone woman, then she may not be able to defend herself using the gun. But it is true that gun ownership can reduce the probability of the attacks. Coming back to the death penalty, it is similar to gun ownership. It deters the criminals from committing violent crimes. States which have recently dumped the death penalty has seen a rise in the crime rates.

I personally believe it's better to let 100 guilty men go free than to kill one innocent man. Therefore I am against the death penalty.

That's an interesting way to look at things. Knowing that those guilty men can and might change for the good. I personally think criminals (even murderers) should be and deserves second chances. But this has a very huge downside. If they know they can be given chances to be a free person again in the future, they might go ahead and do crimes due to them knowing that they won't be hung or be a prisoner forever. In my opinion it's really REALLY hard to decide on if death penalty should be used or not, as it depends on many many factors.
Death penalty is a big issue here in our country since we are a Christian country. But, I think, death penalty should be implemented so that there would be less people who will try to do such filthy crimes. And with regards to implementing it, there should be strict rules and such because they might kill an innocent man. And only those strong cases or crimes should be charged with death penalty.

The Death Penalty must be enforced, but the death penalty must be given according to the extent of the crime committed. And one very important thing, the death penalty should apply to everyone without exception. Many people say that the death penalty should not be given to state officials. But I think the law should not be that way, the law should not dull up and sharp down, the Law should be applied equally to everyone, even including the president though.
