I am positive about the death penalty if it is applied to murderers or rapists. For theft enough will be imprisonment. Thus, the number of crimes decreases. People in many countries are too dismissive and are not afraid of anything.

I think the death penalty law should be implemented in all countries around the world, actually some countries in the middle east already has some them for example saudi but there are also some advantages and disadvanteges into it like the law or justice might get manipulated by powerful and rich men that has a good position in the government but none of this will occur if the government officials and enforcers and will diciplined to not abuse their power and implement the law correctly also the benefits of death penalty law is reducing crime rate of a country people will fear the law and be disciplined throught it.

I personally believe it's better to let 100 guilty men go free than to kill one innocent man. Therefore I am against the death penalty.

Hi I'm  speaking from Philippines..
Here in Philippines death penalty is still not approve for some reasons, human rights and the church. Yes it is in the bible that we shall not kill, but how about the criminal itself?? Alot of crimes are linking to drugs which is the primary issue here. That addict can influence and another person, why not try to get rid the virus before it spreads?? I believe that it is the best thing to do, but also if we implement this law, we should look after the proper guidelines in dealing on it.

The church in the Philippines is by and large playing a largely negative role nowadays. They opposed the anti-drugs campaign by Duterte. They are opposed to family planning, and now they are opposed to death penalty. The ordinary citizens should tell the church to refrain from interfering in the government.
I think it's really the time to discuss why the church in the state is really separated. We know that it is quite different on their views knowing that the Government consists of different people who believe different religions that's why they don't have the same views as the church.

The death penalty is too easy a punishment for murder. People need to realize the severity of his act and to pay for it all my life. I'm for a life sentence, but to serve his criminal needs to ask for death.

Right, they have to pay for the sin they did, if they knew they could die when they committed cruel crime, fear they would do badly, I felt safe if there will be a death penalty in our country. I hope there will be a death penalty in the Philippines.

It's personal
Death penalty to me is a very cruel and inhuman. I will favor life imprisonment over capital punishment because it is degrading and to a large extent reminiscent of a culture of violence and it ought to be abolished. It has never been established that death penalty has solved the problem of crime and criminality. A commensurate prison sentence is suitable irrespective of the method employed in the execution.

The death penalty is executed daily by hundreds of murderous judges - criminals, extinguishing the precious lives of their victims.

Imprisoning thousands upon thousands of inmates is a hugely lucrative business for mega corporations, siphoning the hard- and honest earned money of its citizenry. You pay for criminals to flourish, and have a prosperous, long and secure paid-for life, albeit behind bars.

Also, soldiers of a country, supported by citizen money, are trained to execute the death penalty. In effect, when taxes are paid, good willed citizens partake in the execution, and therefore, in the death penalty of the targets of soldiers. A culture of violence is foremost and prevalent in countries with huge armies and having you pay for the mass murders.

It sucks, people having power over other people lifes. Doesnt looks good for me.

But what about the murderers who have power over the lives of their victims? It is impossible for murderers to be allowed to live peacefully after they deprive others of their lives.

Marriages between the same sex are a fact, but these punishments continue going on? I don't see how the world is so positive with this kind of ideas, not good to kill others.

In order to avoid mistakes there is always a delay of reduction of sentence. During this time, you can always check the materials of the investigation. But there are criminals whose guilt has been proved 100%. My opinion is they should not live.

The judges are aware of their limitations. Normally, they award death penalty only in cases where the guilt of the accused is proved beyond doubt. However, you can expect this only in the developed nations. But anything can happen in third world nations. Sometimes even innocent people are executed for the crimes they didn't commit.

I realy think there are people who deserve the death for terrible things they have done. But on the other hand this is also tricky because there is always the chance that someone innocent is convinced, no system is perfect. Looking back into histiry we can also see that death penalties haven't solved the problem of severe crime.
Generaly, death penalty is no longer existing in many civilized countries and I think it should stay that way.

It already happens that due to budget and time contraints that the evidence is not properly checked.

An interesting thinking, but for this day and age i think it would be a bit barbaric don't you think? And what kind of punishment have you had in mind, something like dungeon or something even worst? But overall i think that death penalty is much better, there are not so much expenses, and message is clear...

I think the penalty of death should exist as it gives criminals a certain fear of the finality of their act. Some may say that a quick death was too easy, or that they should have suffered more by a lifetime of imprisonment but I believe that death is a finality that everyone kind of fears. It does not give you any more chances its a stroke to life that ends it and no new begginings are forthcoming. Death makes doing evil things a little more than a fleeting thought for its consequences.

"[W]e reserve the death penalty in the United States for the most heinous murders and the most brutal and conscienceless murderers. This is not, as some critics argue, a kind of state-run lottery that randomly chooses an unlucky few for the ultimate penalty from among all those convicted of murder. Rather, the capital punishment system is a filter that selects the worst of the worst...

Put another way, to sentence killers like those described above to less than death would fail to do justice because the penalty – presumably a long period in prison – would be grossly disproportionate to the heinousness of the crime. Prosecutors, jurors, and the loved ones of murder victims understand this essential point...

Perhaps most importantly, in its supreme gravity it [the death penalty] promotes belief in and respect for the majesty of the moral order and for the system of human law that both derives from and supports that moral order."
