It's complicated.There are two aspects and both of them have positives and negatives arguments.From the one hand according to anthropology and religion we have to forgive,respect the human rights, and indicate the right way for those who they don't comply with the constitutional and morals rules.From the other hand there are people like Adolf Hitler and Osama Bin Laden where only death can stop them.I am not sure if I support this kind of punishment as I find it cruel and innocent people have been dead, but some times it works as it terrifying the criminals...
I support the death penalty. I support forced sterilization. Forced labor.

I am anti death penalty because it is inhumane in our society you cannot use tooth for a tooth in a sinner. Only god can get our life not we as a human being. And you are not christians if you are in favor of death penalty.

There should be the death penalty for people who intentionally obstruct justice regarding someone who is accused of a crime for which he could receive the death penalty. If you knowingly free a killer, or knowingly cause the execution of an innocent person... death penalty for you.

The death penalty is very important in todays society, there are so many crimes that warrants the death warranty, some people are so evil that they certainly deserves this kind of punishment.
I agree that this is needed for people who are so evil and heartlessly killed innocent people. I agree with this kind of punishment. But here in our country it is currently under debate. There were pro and against it. Those who were against it obviously were the commission on human rights which are more of protector of criminals.

I didn't said that the abolition of the death penalty was the sole reason. There are other reasons as well, such as the affirmative action and the resultant corruption and incompetency in the police force, and the proliferation of immigrants from Nigeria.

I wont agree with your statement though crime cannot be really stop totally but we can reduced it with it bu the problem is death penalty is really not humanly because you are breaking the rules but that is the best way so that those criminal will stop but not all. Reintroducion of capital punishment is formality. Only countries under prolonged influence of western secular liberals abolished this form of justice. Recovering countries such as Russia and Turkey already turned pro again with respect to wishes of general population aswell as common moral compass provided by faith.
Others will follow as desecularization in the west itself gains momentum. The point of capital punishment is not prevention (thats what activism is for), but justice, where crimes against nature were commited.
