Whether its bitcoin trading or altcoin trading, there is bound to come a time when your investment is getting dumped badly, and its panic time.
How do you panic? Does that really make you panic and do you take decisions that you actually regretted later? Or do you keep calm and HODL?
What makes you panic and how do you react to it?
You can not panic if you want to make money or start earning some money by playing with the market or exchanging with others.

I generally panic if my positions goes to loss. I used to make margin trade in old days, but I'm not doing it anymore.

Even pro traders do panic or some of them just exit ,take the profit and leave the market i have a mentor who do that things they don't stay in a very volatilte hype market but others do use to take short trades which is very risky .And i do panic also sometimes or called FOMO .

Avoiding volatile markets isn't the same as panicking. Volatile markets are risky and it's very hard to be long term profitable trader if you get involved in too much risk. Good traders know how to minimize their risk. They tend to be patient and rather take smaller risks making smaller profits, but make the profits consistent. Your mentor doesn't seem to be a panic seller, but a very wise man that makes rational decisions.

And to those who say one has to panic to learn not to. I don't think I ever did. I never invest any money I can't afford to lose. That helps against panicking a lot. For every dime I invest I think of it as it was lost already and I think of every profit I make as a bonus I'm thankful for. I'm also aware losses on market are just normal part of trading aswell as profits are.

I often panic when the rate starts to fall, when I panic I can only see and hold until the rate goes back up, sometimes I also panic sell it, depending on my mood as well, but usually if I panic I will think of other things and do my hobbies.

You are supposed to have a single strategy that you need to think through before you get into any investment. Then, you just act accordingly.

You should not be asking this question man. The real question is how do you avoid panicking?
I think it is impossible to avoid panicking, you may reduce the amount of times you panic but at the end if you have a lot of money invested in a coin and that coin begins to drop in price at a great speed then I think it is natural to panic at that point, so the only thing we can do is to try to minimize the amount of situations in which we are going to panic by not putting all our money in a single coin.
For me to avoid panic, we should not invest in a coin that is not yet well-known, so to avoid panic I think it's enough to invest in coins that have been popular and have good potential in the future, so when the price goes down we do not need to panic because we already know the good potential of the coin, so we believe that coin will increase again in a certain time.

Exactly what the guy said.

Was invested in gno, price went down and panic went up
invested in icn, price went down but no panic and these are just 2 examples.

Not enough research leads to panic.
If you buy the "hype" without really understanding and believing the project expect to feel the panic.

Double inform yourself before going into a new investment.

I don't know why should panic and all.The people who are using and know about bitcoin will never ever panic and all.Since  many millionaire and billionaire are made by keeping the bitcoin at the panic time or low reach value time. So just avoid panic when the price reaches low value.

In my part, I would rather choose to hold on with my coin because panic selling leads to wrong decision also at the time that the coin decreases its value, that is our time to buy since the value goes down. The biggest mistake what most people make is that they buy when they see price is going high and as soon as it start to dip, they become panic and sell at a lower price.

That is a natural thing indeed. but when we can withhold our patience and also keep the peace then I am sure that we can get the best result. panic becomes one of the big problems for many people. people who panic often make mistakes in every vital decision they make. as you say when we panic then the decision we take is very unreasonable. we sell at a cheap price and then buy it at an expensive price. this is what causes us to be able to control the panic.

I don't panic. The worst thing you can do when trading is to panic. If you want to lose all of your money, feel free to panic sell or buy a few times a day for one week... hahaha.

I don't think anyone is like that. People do panic every once in a while and that's normal. Its part of your experience in becoming an efficient trader to know how to ride situations that can cause panic

I agree. You're not human if you don't panic. Grin
It's okay to feel that but after you felt that just let go, breath in and think it's all usual like there's nothing to worry.
Because if panic eats you, you be able to do things unnecessarily.

Many times panic comes in your way but you have to deal with it rather just leave the market. That is no solution to the problem. You have to digest this fact, things will be against your side. So it is you only who have to decide whether to learn from the mistakes or win. Leaving market in hype situation is of no use.

I don't panic like screaming or get stressed out, once a trade goes really bad I always keep a calm mind and calculating how to tackle the situation. I have experienced the worst but I still keep a level head
I don’t know which coins you are dealing with but if it is bitcoins and then getting panicked is incomprehensible.

The dumps of bitcoin are very temporary and they are the indicators of hard pumps in the near future. All the veterans rush toward buying bitcoin when they are in dumping phase then getting panicked and this is the reason they are richer than us at present.

How do you panic? Does that really make you panic and do you take decisions that you actually regretted later? Or do you keep calm and HODL?
What makes you panic and how do you react to it?
To panic when you are losing money from what you expected profit I think is normal. For me, I use to remain calm and hold until it crosses the percentage of stop lose which I believe I can no longer endure on my investment before I will now sell at lose.
This is something which all the traders need to learn and understand as early as possible. Only then they can manage to earn a good amount of money and profit.

I think there is no room for getting panic or losing your patience in the world of trading. The moment you lost your control on your nerves, you are going to suffer a big loss. So remain calm.
You are right in this regard. People often panic when they see the prices going down. You shouldn’t be doing this because it is the matter of fact that whenever there is business there would be huge risks. And businesses are played over decisions and being panicked you are nothing to make wise and profitable results.
We walk thru cryptocurrency world, where things go up and down so fast that sometime we can't keep up. When people start to walk path of cryptocurrency trading, they are bound to make mistakes here and there. That is path of learning.

Most people think that fear and panic are the same, but that is wrong. Fear is primal instinct of all humans. People fear many things, in this case it is fear of losing money. But we should not be ashamed of our fears, we should get to know them. So that when they show them self, we would know they are there, and we will not lose control over our self. If we do not know when we are afraid, we will make a mistake or even worst lose control over our self. When we lose control that is Panic. People are capable of many things when they are in panic, and that could lead to many bad things. Panic is one of worst enemies in humans life, and that means in trading business as well.
