I myself am confused by the choice of the word addiction. it means something that is excessive or sounds very bad. Or can people who consistently gamble every day also be called addicted gamblers?
Bad habits that according to people's views will be different, if you consistently gamble every day it will also be the same because you are definitely a little addicted because there are levels of addiction, some are low or high, maybe if someone consistently gambles every day you can be said to be a gambling addict. the level may be considered low, sometimes addicts who appear to be at a higher level usually have a life full of debt everywhere so they continue to sell their goods and all their assets just to gamble and even leave their family.

I think you can imagine that this is bad and excessive behavior, but on the other hand, if you gamble for entertainment and have fun, you definitely can't be called an addict because you definitely gamble on a limited budget and don't try to leave your family just to gamble and don't even have one. debt everywhere, let alone being able to gamble at any time. that's for sure it can't be called an addict but a consistent and wise gambler

Yeah right, if you can do that way and you can consistently treat gambling like that then it's not that hard to move along from time to time, if you are a responsible and wise gambler you can enjoy your participation without a threat of being addicted, though we really can't tell if how we can consistently wise and not to go that deep in terms of excessive time of gaming and excessive money that is being spent, but if the goal is intact and the executions won't change, then you are fine and can deal with it without any problem.

I doubt that you can stop gambling when you are addicted since it’s very hard to notice the symptoms due to the addictive nature of gambling. The only way for a compulsive gambler to stop is if someone help him to change or he doesn’t have any money to gamble.

If someone is going to help change the gambler is a plan that's very hard, unless the person acting as the helper will devote 85% of his or her time for the addict, because is like a kid that you monitor 24/7 so he (gambler) can't go offline.
And we know how difficult it will be because you as the helper can't have that comfortable time for yourself. Keeping an eye on the gambler has to be under strict rules, no messing around or having pity for him or her. So I can't say is going to be very easy to accomplish.

Instead of that, it's better to put the gambling addict in rehabilitation; there, they will be monitored and slowly helped to forget about gambling. But no matter what we say here or suggest, the change will depend on the gambler itself; if he does not help himself to get out of the influence of gambling, then nothing will happen. The other things will be just support for that person to change. Let's say all your advice is followed by the gambler, and he will not be cured as long as he chooses to still play gambling. So I believe only that person could help himself; I believe people have the dedication to do that. But that will be a different case if the addict itself is beyond help, even if he can't control himself. Possible solution? Ban gambling that's it but we know it is impossible gambling is everywhere even in life it is a gamble.
So do you think banning gambling will be the best way to regulate gambling addictions? Do you? Because for me, I believe that inasmuch as gambling has existed in a place, banning it, you are likely wording the whole situation, as an addicted individual can go an extra miles just to have that freedom of gambling he/she has been enjoying before in a distant far away country. So for me, I think the first statement you made about rehabilitation should be a better idea, where, they will be monitored and slowly helped to forget about gambling, and secondly creating a platform where people get educated about the danger/effects of gambling addiction, and how it's likely to destroy a persons life will go along way helping people to gamble responsibly.

What kind of life is considered gambling?
There are several factors that can make people who are addicted (anything) recover. the first is probably awareness of themselves, it's like you said. The will to be free from gambling addiction or whatever comes from himself.
there are others that are coercion. It usually comes from the people around him, it could be family or closest friends. This can go through rehabilitation, where the addict's body and mind will be forced to refrain from gambling activities. This usually happens to people who may be out of control due to their addiction. or by administering a limited dose of play.

The initial stage of the gambler will be good and they control their money deposit to the gambling sites. The gambler will quit the gambling at the loss was the good one for the gambler not to get addicted into gambling. Most of the gambler was not ready to the gambling addiction quit due to their increase in the affection of the gambler to the gambling. The gambler will get the temptation to most of the time, because they already get the gambling addiction. Some gambler will do the sell of their property for playing the gambling in the continuous way.By this the gambler get addicted to the gambling to target their loss to the gambling sites.
There will be no problems for novice gamblers when they gamble for the first time or at the beginning. But problems will arise after they gamble a few times. Unfortunately, they experience more frequent losses, so they return to gambling just to recover their losses. That would not be advisable because it would only make them deeper into gambling, and if they are not aware of it, they could develop a gambling addiction quickly and without them realizing it. Indeed, promotions issued by casinos can easily tempt gamblers, and this has been experienced by many gamblers, even gamblers who already have more gambling experience than novice gamblers. That's because the promotion is very attractive and makes them want to get something from it, so they will start depositing more money to get something.

They realize it before gambling, but after playing a few rounds, they forget about it and even lose control of themselves, which makes them unable to stop. But it is difficult to completely stop gambling because even though we only gamble occasionally, we don't really stop gambling. That's because the temptation of gambling is still in our minds and says maybe we can win this time, especially if we haven't gambled for a long time. Other people can forbid us from gambling, but we may not heed it and continue gambling. We think this is my money, and I have the right to do whatever I want, including gambling. Even though that is not correct because, by gambling, we have the potential to lose that money, and if we want to recover the loss, we may not be able to recover the loss easily.

That's the problem when your engagement into gambling can't no longer be control, I guess people will think that it's just an easy process but it's not, there are chances that we might fall into addiction as enjoyment can convert to heavy desire of keep playing though not just for the enjoyment but the possible money that you can win.

Wrong impressions that push newcomers to hope for quick profits and let the lust to push forward and keep losing a lot.

Gambling brings so much joy especially when you're on the winning side, when things are all in your favor it just seems like you should never stop. But when it gets bad, you look for a way to pour out your anger, either on someone or on something.
When someone is addicted to gambling I feel it's worst than one who's addicted to drugs.
I believe this is a common human emotion, not limited to gambling. Whether it's work or investments, when we accomplish tasks or make profitable investments, it can bring us a lot of joy. Conversely, we tend to get frustrated when things aren't going well. I'd say that drug addiction is even more concerning than gambling addiction.
The question is if you're a gambler or have someone who is, what's the best way to help out. And what's your story on escaping that addiction (gambling)...

How do you fight this battle?
The best approach, in my opinion, is to remove all gambling-related influences. However, it's easier said than done since the individual might need someone to support them during this period. Even better, redirect them towards sports or encourage them to read books to help overcome their addiction.

I doubt that you can stop gambling when you are addicted since it’s very hard to notice the symptoms due to the addictive nature of gambling. The only way for a compulsive gambler to stop is if someone help him to change or he doesn’t have any money to gamble.

I think to come out of addiction is based on certain circumstances which I agree that if someone doesn't have money to gamble again then that can force him to reduce playing and probably stop totally. But if you try to stop the person where he is still having money to play, the person will still look for ways to play because he already have passion for playing. Gambling addiction is like a passion and only very few things can stop someone out from there passion like if the person is physically not dispose to it anymore.

I agree with you and this passion grows bigger and bigger with the passing of time,it is different from other passions which after 1-2 years they start to fade away from the level that you had for them in the beginning and this is a big problem. If the person is run by his passions and not him running the passions this is much more emphasized in the gambler which can really fall prey to addiction very easily. In order to stop having not money is not enough as he will stop only temporarily while to quit for good you need professional help and a strong inner desire to quit, there is no other remedy to this.
Most gambling addicts play games without being able to control themselves so that gamblers are controlled by the games they play, and in such situations they are easily trapped in addiction because they will continue to play in a state of passion and emotion. And that keeps them playing until the money runs out, which may only be temporary. Because in the end they will play again even though they only have a little money and even though they don't have any money, they will look for ways to get money so they can gamble.
Actually, addicts like that don't recover quickly, but eventually recover by themselves. And either after losing everything or they realize it after going through a lot of hardship and even losing some of their valuables and there are also people close to them, because they think it's too much. And I myself often encounter gamblers like that, including my own friends, and most of them are involved in slot games.
When you do deal up with gambling then make it sure that you shouldn't really be coming int a point that you are already getting addicted to it before you would really be making yourself considering on stopping it.
Gambling is for fun and should really be treated up on that way but the wrong thing on which majority is really that doing is that they do really make it as a source of income which it is really that very wrong.
On the time that these kind of intents and treatment towards gambling to be this way then its a solid sign that you are already that addicted to it, which means that you should really be needing to stop
so that you wont really be able to make further damage towards your finances.

There are really moments in life on which you would really be needing to be that having a good control on what you are dealing with, because if you do let yourself that getting that dragged too much
on which it do comes into a point that spending isnt really that realistic or something worth anymore then this is where huge problems been mold up and this is something that you must avoid in the fist place.
Gambling is entertaining and something that good to deal with if you are really just that a responsible guy or person. You wont get addicted easily since you do really
know on what you are doing.

self-control is one of the things you always need to apply when you feel you are on the brink of any addiction. if you think, you can't contain yourself anymore, better stop and contemplate on your life. remember, no one will truly help you but your own self.
find other valuable activities that you think you can enjoy at. so your attention would go somewhere more worthwhile. you will thank yourself later on for not being consumed with such addiction.

Self control help to get away from the addiction for sure, either it’s gambling or drugs or drinking. The first think is you need to understand you was get into the addiction, the foremost part it understanding you are in addiction. Then you can easily get away from it,secondly you need to reduce the usage of the gambling. Then you need to fix the monthly deposit on the gambling by calculating your income. The deposit should not reach more then the 20 percent of your income. Then try to get some profit from the game,it will avoid from addiction.Gambling addiction mostly cause due to huge loss in gambling based on his luck.
Self control is not as easy as you said, I believe everyone can control his/herself. First of all no one wants to loose money to any platform, so if you're the type that you've never gain any profit from gambling and each time you tell yourself not to bet you find yourself doing it. Quick answer, just make a list , in that list write down the money you spend on gambling every month, write down the profit you're expecting and if you're not getting a profit trust me that person will stop betting. Most people saying am addicted to betting maybe because they've not loss a huge amount of money. Almost everyday I see people crying about betting and promising themself  not to gamble again. So trust me the moment that person loss a huge money to a betting platform that person will stop immediately. So for me I will say allow the person to bet and when the person loss a huge money that person will stop instantly, secondly I don't believe people saying am addicted to gambling. No amount of self control will stop someone from betting dear.

That's why those who fall into the addicted category are because they can no longer control or have control over their gambling activities. high desires that dominate them, overriding common sense and rational thought patterns. and what I said, referring to your post. symptoms or those who have become part of an addict, act like that. In fact, even after their money runs out, the value of the things they own, their desire to continue gambling never stops. Disorders like this can be classified as serious gambling addicts. Usually, it requires special treatment such as therapy, counseling, and several other treatments so that the problems they face can gradually be resolved. if one was lucky, one would recover completely.

The answer is, maybe yes, maybe no. except, if someone has become homeless. even then, it doesn't guarantee one hundred percent of total stops. The scenario is that they stop because they are forced to, because they no longer have the resources that can be used as a betting medium. The time comes when someone gets money, who knows where it comes from. It is possible that someone will visit a gambling shop. The point is, addiction recovery is not as simple as we say. in fact, any type of addiction. One day, you can return to the same activities as before. to deal with things like this. there is much a person can do. In fact, there are now free foundations ready to help gambling addicts.
but for me, it all comes down to ourselves.  how do we treat gambling itself. and if you are infected with an addict, immediately recognize the characteristics and try to overcome something else. and the most important point, broad understanding, responsibility, and self-control.
With these points, you, I, we, can gamble at any time without having to become an addict. but with the condition that you have awareness and involve all the elements that I said before.

Before you play the game, are you aware of this, are you only concerned with winning? Was there someone who reprimanded or advised you, if so, did you hear what that person said?

Your story above is almost the same as what my friend experienced, I have advised him, but my friend did not hear what I said, Yes, I can't forbid him from coming back, besides, he is the one who has the money, I can't forbid what he wants to do with his money. The dealer knows how to play so that these players can feel at home sitting at the gambling table, and knows how to play on the emotions of each player. Usually gamblers realize that they don't have anything left, and the debts everywhere make them not want to play again.

I think it is better to do is limit yourself in gambling.
Just like I do, I limit myself to gambling, I budget only what I can spend on gambling. There are also times when it goes too far, but you should still control yourself when you end up in such a situation. It's fun to gamble, but don't forget responsibility and self-discipline because it's super valuable, especially for those who gamble.

Before we can talk about limiting one's self from gambling activities, have we also consider that we can do without gambling in many ways if we so desired from our hearts, before then we need to ask ourselves on the reasons why we think that we need to stop gambling first, if it's a genuine reason and we see its all for our own advantage then we can start to work on the necessary ways to prove on that by avoiding having money in our casino wallet and getting busy on other valuable things that can demand much of our time than ever, we can also make a decision on changing the environment we live or removing any gambling enabling platform apps from our devices.

Why must you pour out your anger on someone or something when you lose in gambling? That makes you an irresponsible gambler, the reason why you are so mad for losing is because the money you lost isn't meant for gambling, you are not ready to lose that money but because of your own readiness you went on to take the risk and you lose, it's your fault, this isn't a way to be a gambler.

If you have $100 in your bank account or in your crypto wallet, and you feel like gambling, what will happen if you use $1 to gamble and lose the bet? We both know the answer isn't it? You will feel like nothing is wrong, but you aren't ready to use $1 to earn $30 because it's too small, you are so tasty of winning thousand of dollars and that chances is slimmer because it's rate to use $1 to make $1000.

This is where you should wise up, if that $1 is all you can afford to lose, so be it, you should be satisfied with whatever that $1 brings to you, if not, you will always be a loser in gambling, because the money which you could have use to gamble like twenty times have been used to gamble twice or once, all because you want to make huge amount of money.

Monitoring the addicted gambler 24/7 is unnecessary. It's up to the gambler whether he will also help himself to stop gambling addiction or not. Also, this kind of concern requires a specialist. The person addicted to gambling needs counseling. Someone he can confess everything he feels while playing.

But as I said, the gambler is required to help himself. For this reason, even if counseling was done, it would only be put to waste if the person addicted to gambling still continued to gamble. Whatever help is received, it's all up to him if there will be a result or not.
Its apparent that you're honing in on the concept of personal accountability when it comes to addiction, and I cant argue with that. Addiction, be it gambling or anything else, is indeed a deeply personal battle. Monitoring someone around the clock? Sure, it sounds extreme and, in many cases, quite impractical. But here's the crux of the matter: willpower alone might not be enough. Counseling, absolutely vital, creates a space for raw and open conversation, an avenue for self-reflection.

However, your point about the gambler needing to actively participate in their recovery resonates. True, a specialist can only do so much. If the individual in question doesnt genuinely want change, counseling sessions might just turn into a box-ticking exercise. Its a multifaceted issue, and while external support can be a catalyst, the real transformation has to come from within. And that, as you so rightly pointed out, can be the most challenging part.
