Hi everyone, I would like to ask a very simple question on how to start on crypto if that is what it is called. The idea for me is in hopes I can just earn here and there mainly to help with monthly expenses. Not looking to invest like 5 figures but more of like 3 to 4 figure ranges to create that monthly recurring for my expenses.
how to start on crypotcurrency??
There's no magic, you ought to gain as much knowledge as possible, that's the only trick. Read, watch videos, ask questions, unlearn and relearn. That's the simple hack.

crypto will humble you, there's no way out. Seeing that a coin is losing on binance is not enough knowledge, you have to know the nature of that coin and see what promises it holds for the future, but as newbies who do not intend to expand their knowledge, they may never know this or get to know it when it's almost late.

Unless you want to invest in long-term gains, crypto trading without experience might cause emotional damage the reason there's the favorite quote "DYOR" & "Invest the money you can afford to lose". The users who started crypto with zero knowledge must have had a resourceful forum where they get information on the coins to buy/sell & they got lucky to get a pump due to the hype the coins are getting from the news/fundamentals.

There are several CEX like Kucoin, Gate & Mexc where individuals can buy low cap coins but I prefer using dapps on DEX. Anyone who wants to venture in to full-time crypto trading needs to learn not only the basics but the fundamentals that comes with trading. I see the individuals that buy & sell crypto assets without prior experience as opportunists who got in due to hype from the news

Because the OP said that this was done to help with his monthly expenses. which means he expects to get profit from his investment in crypto every month. Which also means he has no intention of investing long-term with the money. And this condition means that he must be a reliable trader in short or medium term trading. I am a day trader. And I would like to say that consistently profitable crypto trading is very difficult for beginners. In fact, I experienced a lot of losses when I started trading crypto. But then I focused on learning more about everything related to the market first. be it Sentimental, Fundamental and also technical analysis. Trading psychology, emotion management and other things like fibo and many more. after I felt that I was quite ready then I started to jump back into the market with a small capital. and focus on practicing every thing I learn. and at that time my focus was to prove. then after I'm pretty sure with each of my analysis. then I jumped into trading with greater capital. and I continue to trade to this day. not everything goes smoothly. but yeah i make a decent income from trading. or if you want to earn income in a more secure way. then staking stable coins might be another option. but small capital will not be enough. and it is also risky.

I think the way/method that everyone uses to get crypto is not the same but a little advice from me is to start with what you are good at. Do you like writing - making photos/videos - active on social media - gambling - design - marketing etc., you can start from there;

but if you have more capital, you can become a P2P provider - miner - node provider, now all the choices depend on you, as long as you are patient - persistent - consistent then you can meet your monthly needs with crypto.

starting here in crypto business is easy, but it is not easy to find income here, because it will take time and time for you to have an idea or if you don't do it, your investment capital will be lost or just go to nothing.

so the best thing you should start here is to learn first so that you don't become like others who don't know anything, instead you are ready to enter the real battle that will be fought in the crypto industry.

You mentioned investing three to four figures every month.  But you said to invest three to four figures, is the amount invested in your country's local currency or international currency?
If you say in dollars then this investment will be much more for you. Because you are still new, making such a big decision will be full of risks for you. Get a little idea about investing and put that idea into practice. Whatever the pros and cons, it will add to your experience.

In the beginning you can open an account in any trusted exchange and deposit some amount of money there and you can continue the first step of your investment process. It will be good for you to increase the amount of investment as you gain experience.
In my opinion, investment would be risky if you don’t have enough knowledge and experience in crypto, that’s why you should take your time by educating yourself and learning effectively this field. Rashnesses will lead to serious consequences, you have to be careful before taking any decisions. Furthermore, it is really important to have a backup plan and strategy due to the market is unpredictable and extremely unstable. Plus, if your investment strategy is long term and you’re looking guaranteed profit, then you have focus only on top 5 coins specifically Bitcoin and Ethereum also put your crypto on hardware wallet to avoid the risk of getting hacked or scammed.

You should understand that this is very energy-consuming, crypto needs to start from the very bottom, take any chat on this topic, a lot of points are laid out where to start.

Hi! That's a great question. Getting started in crypto can seem daunting, but it's actually quite simple. Here are some steps to help you get started:

Research: Before investing in any cryptocurrency, it's important to do your own research. Learn about the technology behind each coin, their price history, and any recent news or developments related to them.

Choose a cryptocurrency exchange: Once you've done your research, you'll need to choose a cryptocurrency exchange to buy and sell crypto. There are many exchanges to choose from, such as Binance, Coinbase, and Kraken.

Create an account: After choosing an exchange, create an account and complete the necessary KYC (know your customer) and AML (anti-money laundering) verifications.

Fund your account: Once your account is set up, you'll need to fund it with fiat currency (such as USD, EUR, or GBP) using a bank transfer, debit card, or credit card.

Buy cryptocurrency: After funding your account, you can buy the cryptocurrency of your choice. You can purchase whole coins or fractions of coins, depending on your budget.

Store your cryptocurrency: After purchasing cryptocurrency, it's important to store it in a secure wallet. You can use a hardware wallet (such as a Ledger or Trezor) or a software wallet (such as Exodus or Atomic Wallet).

Monitor your investment: Finally, it's important to monitor the value of your investment regularly. Cryptocurrencies are known for their volatility, so it's important to be aware of any fluctuations in price

If you are thinking of making your monthly income in crypto then you are wrong. Because you won't get your monthly profit by trending, you may lose your money by investing.

That's why you should invest what you can afford to lose because crypto always changes time to time, it may pump or dump. I suggest to invest in long term services like real estate. Because in crypto you can profit big time or loss a huge amount of money in just seconds. You can actually start by exploring and research about crypto before investing.

I agree. You should start on crypto by starting first with yourself. What I mean is, Invest in yourself first. Read books, learn some skills, know what cryptocurrency is, watch educational videos, and attend seminars to fully educate yourself in this space. Then if you're ready, go for it! You can start crypto with an exciting experience but it doesn't need to be complicated. Just do your research and risk only what you can afford to lose.

Starting in crypto is relatively easy, and there are a few steps you can follow to get started:
You said everything in very simple language. If you could do it as easily as you said, then everyone would not have made so many mistakes.

1. Learn about cryptocurrency
It should take him a long time to learn about cryptocurrency because cryptocurrency is so widespread that anyone who wants to can't get a complete understanding of cryptocurrency so easily. If he shows keen interest to know then surely he will learn about cryptocurrency.

2. Choose a cryptocurrency exchange
3. Create & fund an account
4. Buy cryptocurrency
5. Boom
Opening an account on any exchange is a very easy task, anyone can open an account on any exchange through youtube. But the next steps of accounting will be very difficult for him. You said easy to buy any currency after opening account but he is new to this site as he has no experience in this so how he will buy currency. And even if the currency is purchased then what is its future. Because he will not buy any currency after analyzing the market. So I don't think the few steps you tried to convince him will work for him. Rather, if he follows your steps directly, he may have a great chance of losing his wealth.

Starting crypto is very simple after meeting almost all the requirements, those requirements are:- have the knowledge of what you are about to do, make through research, are you ready to bear risk, waiting patiently for a long time before starting earning, take note "Waiting" is not just as you expected that is not one month but many months. Finally invest what you can afford to lose.

I will give you as much idea as possible if you think you can make monthly income by trading crypto then you must have good knowledge about the market. At first you invest with a small amount so that you don't break even if you face losses and gradually you increase the amount of money invested. And later you will get your monthly income as a good amount by investing.
Where is this assurance hanged on as to the OP getting back monthly income based on what he must have invested in. Let's be careful not to indulge others into getting themselves in wrong  investment deals so they don't end up regretting seeking for help at the first place.
The crypto market is a volatile one and prone to unpredictable circumstances.
Yeah dude there is no assurance he will get profit from investing in hurry without analyzing market and the project that he invest in. I see that the Original Poster is a newbie member, so maybe OP can not yet to do analyzing it easily. Other option beside invest and hold, trade crypto can be another choice, but never start trading crypto already with much amount of money, just start trading with small amount of money if you are not already master in it. To be honest, i do not prefer to suggest a newbie to do trade on crypto without have enough knowledge on market, so OP have to learn more about trading and investing.
