Well it was like Bitcoin's little brother so I guess it will go as far as where bitcoin goes.
It still have the support of the crypto enthusiast so I don't see it going into oblivion and will remain in the top 10 coins. Also, litecoin is one of the most supported coins as far as online gambling is concern, so that alone won't make litecoin die, just saying.

The only real advantage it has is its history and track record.
It is a slightly better blockchain than btc so useability is a little better.
But without the market penetration of btc, the utility of a smart contract, or a niche use case like privacy coins (monero), it will still be just ok.
Yes, it has almost always been in the top 10 coins, but if you haven't realized by now that coinmarketcap is flawed than you should research more.
