Those are possible things but have you seen how many reputable gambling sites nowadays? Yes, they can alter nor rigged users account with big balance but they wont do such thing. Why?
They know they can earn more than that if they do able to get more users in the market. They can make profits for long term more than on the amount they can get from several users.
Once you make an issue on site it will already give negative impressions forever.
We are still not capable of using the full advantage of bitcoin. OP is right that on chain betting can resolve it but I don't know how it will be done. May be a decentralized open platform for all to gamble?

For sure the reputed sites is not going to bother about the small amounts since they know the entire business will fall apart if they get caught or the users starts to question them but when it comes to betting large amount of money then for the customer it's always a hesitation.

If you are deposited your money into a scammybwebsite then you may need to worry about these to be happening but there are lot of websites out there with huge bankroll in,if they scamming one person or few they can be exposed and all their investment will be gone so picknthe right gambling site.
Yeah, make a good choice and don’t look for the games that you want to play, its a must to know more about the gambling sites before you put money. Gambling is too risky and don’t take another risk by investing on a wrong site. Just monitor your account on any site and if there’s any changes without moving anything then I think something is really wrong on that site.
If you are not active on gambling, then monitoring your account is good just to be sure your money is safe. Even if its a trusted gambling site, it is still possible to incur some problem. Its very rare to hear a scam incidents in gambling site with the top gaming site it mostly happen at a small gambling site where you can see a poor service and a poor system, better not to play on that at all.

Major bitcoin gambling casinos which have their own thread in the gambling section have never done that up until now. In their thread you can find gamblers feedback and see if they are trusted by the community or not. These casinos have no reason to do such a thing as they have always the house edge in the long run.

Why mess around with scam sites ?

So my doubts are really real  . sometimes i think some gambling sites are cheating to us when they say provably fair and they show some evidence or proof but i sometimes didnt believe them because i never had won a higher jackpot prize on freebit.co   , while i believe some gambling games are trully legit and wont cheat on us  .

So you if you hit that jackpot your thinking will be changed?

Your example is not making sense especially the one you are pointing out is freebitco.in. Disregarding the legitimacy of freebitco.in rolls, it's really difficult to hit the winning numbers to hit that jackpot. It's a game of luck. And even on other reputable site with lower house edge, you still don't have an assurance you will hit something big.

Anyhow about the topic, all pointers of OP does have a possibility to happened.

Can't believed someone will risk to deposit BTC10 on a site that is not popular or well established in the world of crypto gambling. Not an assurance though that no irregularities will happened if it will be on a popular site but we just have to minimize the risks.

What about sites that claim to own 30 Bitcoin bankroll but refuse to sign a message, because "they keep it on an exchange"?

To add on this, the worst scams are the ones that go undetected for a long time. If a casino decides to pull in more profits than they should, its really hard to pinpoint how theyd do it. This is especially messed up because a casino could for example scam 1 out of every 5.000 users and youd never be able to call them out on it.. Thats assuming they dont use much more complex techniques like in the link..

So in the end it becomes a matter of trust again. Put your money on sites you can trust, and withdraw frequently to not get that trust abused.

1> your account is hosted on there website, all it takes is 1 command to database to delete your whole account and you will not prove anything.

suppose a user deposited 10 BTC, the website can simply delete his account and claim its never been created, so what use are your secrets hash.

2> or they can alter your password and claim its been hacked and its your responsibility
For both the cases, you cannot do anything because once if gambling houses decide to scam you, they can go up to any limit and you cannot do anything about that. This is applicable for both online as well as for offline casinos. Only until they remain legit, we can deal with them otherwise we need to take legal procedures but that would be expensive and lots of time-consuming one. Instead of fighting against them legally it would be much better to stay away from them before getting start with them basically.

If you have plans to gamble with big bankroll then you must go for your own due diligence so that can be sure about that you will be into a highly reputed gambling house. If you ignore this part of the gambling, no one could help you later on.

If you are registered and playing in a trusted gambling sites with positive reviews you will have less of these to worry about. The mistake some gamblers makes is rushing to open an account and playing on a new gambling site because they feel that their rules  will be minimal and earning will be quick but alas,  they fell into scam.

Wow, I think it's only a few people who will deposit more than 1 bitcoin especially 10 bitcoin and that person should have skills or great luck in the gambling games. I would not deposit too big especially in the site which is not recommended by other members from here because I have a bad experience to deposit in one gambling site, but in the end, they are run away with the money. It's better to choose the trustable gambling site, so we don't have to worry if they cheat us.

Thing you need to know about probably fair websites

1> you control your part of secret
2> website has its know secure text, you get hash for it, so it ensure that there can not be any alteration to the server secret

so a bet roll is generated using 1 & 2, which ensures there is no cheat.

Now consider this

1> your account is hosted on there website, all it takes is 1 command to database to delete your whole account and you will not prove anything.

suppose a user deposited 10 BTC, the website can simply delete his account and claim its never been created, so what use are your secrets hash.

2> or they can alter your password and claim its been hacked and its your responsibility

[ remember : password is saved as hash in the database, so they cannot know your password but they can definitely change it , and claim its been hacked]

FOR NOW THE ONLY SOLUTION SEEMS TO ME IS TO USE , A SMART ETHEREUM CONTACT OR USE BITCOIN ON-CHAIN BETTING.
That is why decentralized system or gambling,  betting and casino is far better than the centralized one.  It takes Alot of honesty for you not to be cheated in a centralized gambling sites and to avoid that use what you have control over.  Remember that it is your hard earned money and you must keep it safe.

On chain gambling sites can also cheat by changing the outcome of a bet. This rollincoin thread is an example of it.
Gambling sites that cheats their players are mostly new and doesn't have that much player in their site. I've experienced it already and learned my lesson to stick with the most known sites here in the forum.

Has this ever happened to you?
I think what Leowonderful said holds a lot of weight.
More reputable sites would avoid doing this. The ones who do a more likely scams from the start anyway.

I've generally noticed that the sites which do things like delete user accounts, etc are usually lesser-known and reputable sites that aren't as trustworthy. There's always going to be a chance that even an established site may do something of this variety, but lesser-known sites have less to lose than a larger site.

Setting up 2FA through Google or another type of authentication app also helps against cases of actual  account theft, and though thieves may simply contact site support to remove 2FA from an account after the thief has acquired the password for said account, most sites also stop withdrawals after 2FA's been removed for a day or two so you'll likely have noticed this abnormality before your funds are stolen in a legitimate situation of account theft. It never hurts to have extra security.

I don't think many websites do that, but probably some scam websites may have done it already.

So this is why it's important to look for reliable gambling sites ,for some years on the market and with community support.
There are many gambling websites with these characteristics, so you have no reason to risk in Unknown ones.
