It is the teams prerogative on how long they will gonna take tha project specially if they are not gathering enough investos to pursue so what they do is extend until how long the support gained,but if you think the project is a scam and nothings really expecting specially payments from your work,then you can file a proper complaint in reputation section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0 so they will be forced to explain the situation for your concerns

ICO last longer than normal these days. The recent bear market situation and substandard projects popping up here and there are partly to be blamed. Better to spend some time on project with sensible whitepaper to have better chances of working for those that will end up successful

Icos vary indifferently; some icos last for just a day
Some icos reach softcap and hardcap in just 7 days

Where as some icos last 3 months and end up not reaching softcap

It all depends on your project

some icos last for seconds. but good icos are few and far in between. you wont even get a chance to enter good icos

there should be but indeed some ico like to do things like the worse ones that really slow down their reward, which I know the project like this is a satt project running over 5 months, but it turns out they didn't hold an ico immediately and held ico in a few months but for payment they still share the time I want to start but I don't know whether the project is scam or not

I think your friend should choose the project for Signature campaign more careful next time - Bounty campaigns normally run for not more than 3 months.

Either it is a scam or a legit one still have chances to prolong their campaign if necessary for some reasons, but mostly it happens into scam project as I've experience before. Honestly, they can easily chance the course if they want too cause they are the one holding the funds as a assigns BM still have their job also.

There is no written rule how long is the duration of a bounty campaign, but due to the bearish market they are longer than they usually used to be. If the team is not active and answering the question on telegram that is a red flag.

If you are intending to participate in any campaign,it is good practice to get some clarity on when the campaign will come to an end,if they are not forthcoming,maybe you consider some other campaign.Many ICOs are prolonged because of the bears that lasted months.I don't see why bounties should last more than 2-3months at best

this is unpredictable and this totally depends on the project team. I have seen ICO run for complete 1year and some 6months while many run approximately

I think not all of the ico is scam, there are still good and amazing ico on the feild, i believe that we only need to choose correctly to avoid loss, because we all know that there are so many scam ico on the crypto feild now a days. Ico is still an amazing ways to earn in crypto but we can also loss on it if we ingage in scam or maybe abandoned ico.

I guess I would rather answer your question in a generalize way but in some case sarcasm.
Basically, ICO last forever, yes I am saying that because as long as investors are there, market of ICO's will still collect huge volume of bitcoins, ETH, and etc. Yes, ICO's last forever, from 3 months of road map finalization to a year of despair for investors and bounty hunters waiting for their project to succeed. And yes, ICO's last forever.
