It seems to me that different types of gambling take up different amounts of people's time.

For example, slots are able to hold a player for hours and you can probably even sit at them for 5 hours without getting tired at all. After all, you don't need to think in slots, it's more like a trip, a relaxed walk where the player completely gives himself up to luck, and nothing depends on him. You only need to give the slot rotation button, and then it can be set to auto slot rotation.

Poker is a more exhausting type of gambling, and you can play there for a very long time, but the player will literally be completely exhausted.

I have never gambled for more than two hours. It will be very stressful, especially when you see the wins and losses we experience. So far, I've only been gambling for less than an hour and that alone has really grabbed my attention. But as far as we have experienced, if we can feel comfortable playing gambling, that's okay, but we also still have to remember how much time we can spend gambling. But if we only have a short amount of free time, we should not gamble because it is feared that we might rush into gambling. This will result in us not being able to focus on the gambling game, so if we want to gamble, we really have to have free time so we can enjoy the gambling game. No matter how much time we spend gambling, we must remember that when gambling, we must use limits, especially if we use a limited budget allocation. This is to avoid excessive gambling.

In my opinion,  the more time one decides to spend on gambling, the more money they lose. For example, if I spend like one hour gambling and another gambler spends like six hours gambling, which one of us do you think will spend more money?
This is the key thing to note and I'm in agreement with it. Any lucky day for a gambler will come in such a way that much time will not be spent before the big hit. Tarrying in the gambling house after the big hit will only lead to the depreciation of the funds until it is given back. This is typical of gambling addicts that hardly know when to stop.

So the question again is: how many hours do you gamblers think are more appropriate to spend while gambling?
There should be no universally accepted amount of time a gambling should spend in the gambling house. There are many factors that will determine how long a gambler will spend in gambling, some of which include gambling budget which is the amount the user plan to spend in gambling for the day. Another factor, like I explained before is if the gambler got a huge win as this will require him to stop for the day. Frequently losses can also lead to shorter gambling time.

If I am busy, I may not gamble at all. If I am not that busy and able to gamble that day, I may not gamble for more than 5 to 30 minutes. If I have nothing to do, I can divided my money into smaller amounts to gamble for a longer time period. I do not have a certain time that I spend while gambling, it depends on if I have time to gamble or not and if I feel like to gamble at the time or not.

It depends, my time runs out after I win unexpectedly in a short time or if I lost all what I can afford to lose, assuming $20 is all I plan to risk for today, I always make sure it doesn't surpass this amount, once I lost the whole money I take my leave or once I hit a lucky win I always take my leave even if all I have risk is just $2, and still have $18 left, I will leave.

After you hit a win your mind will play a game on you, thinking this is just the beginning, it's true that you can win the second time also but I plan to stick with what works for me, I would rather leave than to risk playing again, I am securing and defending my mental state is all.

If you don't have a amount you are willing to risk and all you got is time, you won't know when to stop, you won't even know how long you've been gambling for until you have nothing left.

I never played more than 1 hour in one session because i mostly blow my account this an hour, or I feel tired after playing for an hour.
and it's true that after playing for long time we lose more, because our mindset changes and betting pattern changes and we lose more and more,
If I will be winning those 1 hour then I can play more. until i  start to lose more often and lose everything then i stop playing.

Well, this depends entirely on you, your discipline, and your time allotment for each task you have in a day. If you are a working person, it's best to limit your gambling time to a duration where you can enjoy, relax, have fun, and maybe profit on the side without spending more than an hour or two. This is because your job alone is exhausting, probably the commute or travel to and fro your house to office. An hour or two playing and betting, in my opinion is already enough to de-stress and to reward yourself for doing  good job for the day. With this, you can still allot some of your time in doing and helping to some house chores. Probably play with your kids or pets. Or if you don't have one, talking to your spouse or parents about your day. And if you don't have one because you live alone, you can do something more valuable to your spare time such as alloting it to your side hustles.

There's no specific time because it will totally depend on you and your circumstances, but it shouldn't be too much to the point that you will disregard your responsibilities just to play.

Depending on how much time we had each gambling moment , example like me who
mostly play after work or when with my brother so we spend 2-3 hours the most but this change
when playing cards because this happens in our day Off that will give us almost 8-12 hours(but
that is just a friendly game that also involves money)
Depends on a game a play. Playing dice for more than 15-20 minutes is boring, while poker session can last for hours and it still be fun. A lot matters if I gamble alone or in a company. Even if someone sits near while I gamble changes a lot. If near is a friend, then we can talk for hours while playing boring and repeared games. I would say, if this is not a poker tournament, I dont usually gamble for more than 15-30min.
ohh, that is indeed depending in what kind of game and what is the progress to make us stay
longer specially when we are winning.

For me I think it depends on individual satisfaction and what you want to achieve. Some people will want to get the fun for a whole day while other will be okay within few hours. I have seen many gamblers spending their entire day at the casino. I have spent more than 6 hours gambling several times and there are days I spend less hours. Most time it depends on moods and available liquidity.

if a person doesn't do much in his daily life, he can spend his whole time in gambling because he doesn't have anything to do unlike other people who has a stable job or managing their businesses and they can only gamble on their rest days or weekends. So it totally depends to a lifestyle of every individual.Just like me, being a full time employee, I need to track my activities and I always have my planner that's why all the things that I will do is well balance, I spend about one to three hours in gambling on my weekends or holidays, I don't exceed in  three hours limit.  actually it's hard to do especially since it's tempting to continue but I have to follow the planner I made.

So the question again is: how many hours do you gamblers think are more appropriate to spend while gambling?
In the past, I came across a statement that reminded me that it's not a good idea to gamble for more than four hours straight. The reason behind this is that our brain can only function optimally for four hours without taking a break. If we continue playing beyond this limit, it can have negative effects on our decision-making, emotional control, and overall performance.

But there are experienced gamblers who can play for more than four hours without feeling fatigued because they have subconsciously surpassed this limit. This is especially true if they concentrate on a particular game and build a strategy around it, which prolongs their playing time.

For me, it should be at least 6 hours or the whole day because I don't gamble frequently and so I want to make the most out of my gambling habit, that's the justification for when I gamble long periods of time but I can't be sure about how much time I spend because there's times that I felt like it's fast that I lost all the funds for gambling and then there's times when I felt like it's been so long. But I think that what I do is a good estimate albeit I have to say that it's not applicable to everyone and you need to do this when you don't have any work the next day or the day that you're gambling or that you're on call to your work even in your day offs.

I don't think I have gambled more than 2 hours without getting tired (not sure) Grin. I have not actually checked my gambling strength to know how long I can last while gambling; now that I have thought of it, I will try it.
I once gambled for 6 hours but of course, it was interspersed with other activities occasionally but in my opinion, it was quite tiring, but I don't gamble regularly, I only do it when I'm chasing bonuses or when there are promotions which I think is quite tempting
If there is a gambler who can gamble for six hours or more and does it every day that is quite extraordinary because of course he has large funds to continue gambling or he has a job that is related to gambling such as a streamer or content creator, but if he is purely just for gambling that is it will drain his mind and money and gradually his health will be disturbed so that the initial gambling for fun becomes no longer fun because too much has to be sacrificed just to gamble, not only money and time but also health and social life.

Of course the one who spend long hours in gambling. But there are cases wherein a gambler is able to play for long hours because he/she is fortunate to not get busted early using his/her deposit. I can relate to this because even my set budget is not huge but i'm lucky to win, that's how I can play for hours. 2 hours are the maximum for me because I can't spend so long and chances are you'll lose if ever you are already in profit. IMO, 1-2 hours are the ideal time for playing. But it depends for every gambler since we have different perspective.

The person who will lose more is not determined by the number of hours spent at the casino. The amount used for the game will also determine how much you can lose within a specific period. Somebody can lose thousands of dollars in a few minutes while another person who has been in the casino for six hours might have just lost a few hundred. Another factor could be the level of skills and how lucky the person might be. A skilful gambler might spend less even when he has spent so much time.

So the question again is: how many hours do you gamblers think are more appropriate to spend while gambling?
The amount of time I spend gambling depends on my schedule, how much I have and how fast I win or lose. My best gambling time is weekends when I don't go to work because I have more free time. But there are times I don't have much spare time on weekends so I have to spend limited time. Immediately after I have exhausted the money budgeted for the day's game, I will end gambling for the day. But I might keep gambling if I am lucky and keep winning. Generally, I don't see gambling as an important activity, so I just assign some of my time for leisure to it.

How many hours is best for gambling? It depends.

If you want to have fun and continue to gamble, you will use low amount of money like $0.5 to play each game.  You are just playing for fun and you can continue to enjoy your game.

But if you use some strategies, your strategy may not make you use more than some minutes. Example is the martingale that you will be increasing your money as you are losing until you win. You may win and not play again and won for the day. That may not take more than 3 to 5 minutes.

from my experience, there are many factors that influence how long gamblers stay in gambling and most important thing is that it usually all depends on the desires and goals of each gambler.

I often place bets beforehand on slot game, poker and roulette. usually I spend 1 hour to bet on one of these games and it all depends on situation if losing streak I will stop rather than force a bet it better the budget I have to bet next day but if winning streak comes I once spent about 3 hours on a game roulette But as you said, the longer you gamble, the more you lose.
this assumption makes sense because the longer you stay in one of the games, the house edge will beat the gamblers.

but for now, after I feel bored of betting on casino game for at least 10-15 minutes, I feel bored and choose to bet on sports betting without having to waste too much time and choose to do a side job.

The time a gambler should spend while gambling differs per gambler. We know the elasticity of all our actions in life. A person who enjoys video games can stay up to 5-6 hours playing GTA. Gambling works the same way, I prefer a roulette game, it works in a way that I'd spend a good time playing the game, especially when on a good bankroll. Things do change according to the amount of money we own, but the games we enjoy on slots are very addicting because they require not much calculation. However, if a gambler on his leisure chooses to spend time and money gambling, he wouldn't need to bother about time, as he has some left. Hence, it all depends on the schedule of the gambler. Some may get tired along the line, it's true, as gambling takes up brain power and humans can easily get tired after spending time on screen. The players who can stay longer time like 6 hours, need to understand how to split their money while gambling.

The answer to Op's question depends on the amount of money the gambler is ready to lose while gambling. If gambling happened to be a free game that doesn't require money. Most gamblers will gamble at least 5 hours a day. But people may not get addicted to it. Somehow the money we spend while gambling helps in controlling the time, then facilitates addiction. It's hard to comprehend for a layman, but, while money controls time, emotions get affected due to the loss of money. The time a player spends gambling doesn't affect his thinking, but the money. So, some gamblers may have the time, yet no money to continue playing. And another gambler with lots of money to take him 5 hours on gambling, but no time to enjoy his habit. Those who get tired along the line and stop may have been gambling for days and need some rest.

I agree with you, that in my opinion gambling cannot be measured by how long we will play, if we feel bored it is a good idea to stop first to relax our thoughts and mood at that time, and if everything is stable then play gambling. more enjoyable. exciting and we will feel like we enjoy it.
However, if people force themselves to gamble when they are in a bad condition or are in a bad mood then what will happen is that we will get into a lot of problems there and we will be far from having fun. and apart from looking at the conditions that exist within us, what is important is also looking at the finances we have, it is better to just use the remaining money for daily needs, don't use the basic money for gambling because that is a big mistake.

Well, there's no direct answer to your question; it depends on a variety of factors, such as your available budget, time, your desire to gamble, and ultimately, yourself. I generally don't spend too much time, thirty minutes to an hour at most, due to a tight schedule on weekdays, but I'm more free on the weekends, which is when I focus most of my gambling time and perhaps dedicate a good hour or two, sometimes a little more if I have nothing better to do. Nothing is better than a rainy winter day under a warm blanket with a hot cup of coffee or chocolate in the comfort of your own home, gambling away your thoughts.

I think so too, setting a time for your gambling session seems to me a recipe for you craving to gamble for the whole day after you've already done your session. To me, it's best if you just go for playing until you get tired or your bankroll for that day is gone, I mean that's how I'm going to do it but there's definitely other ways to resolve that issue with gambling time or duration. If you're spending the whole day there then it's best that you either cancel all appointments for the day or manage your time spent in gambling.
