The limitation of times for gambling could not be the same for everybody. It depends on an individual basis I assume. It also depends on the bankroll you have and also your gambling behavior. If you are a high roller of course you will not play for a long time like a small player.

I prepared to say that the gambling time is once you hit a big win, just stop playing right away and wait for another day.

In my opinion,  the more time one decides to spend on gambling, the more money they lose. For example, if I spend like one hour gambling and another gambler spends like six hours gambling, which one of us do you think will spend more money?

This is not true. Although gambler is on disadvantage long term due to house edge but still losing more money when you play longer is not always the case because you can win big by experiencing long win streak on any part of your game including late game that eill put you in profit.

It always depends on luck and bankroll management on what will be the result of your game regardless of duration. For me the right duration of gambling depends until you’re still enjoying it.

This thought just crossed my mind after I dropped my comment on this board here some hours ago. I have tried to search for any related topic but have not gotten any results. Guys, if this topic has been discussed before, please do well to tag me while you also drop your opinions here.

If the title is a bit tricky, then I will break it down.

Gambling is for fun, and actually, if someone wants to have fun gambling, there is no way they can spend six hours gambling or even spend the rest of their day gambling.

In my opinion,  the more time one decides to spend on gambling, the more money they lose. For example, if I spend like one hour gambling and another gambler spends like six hours gambling, which one of us do you think will spend more money?
Of course, the one playing with the longer hours is the one that will likely lose money, but it's not about the money or length of time playing it is how comfortable these people losing the money, you can play 6 hours and lose $100 and it's ok for you and you have a guy playing 2 hours and lose $30 and he got out feeling depressed because of the loss.

Quote
So the question again is: how many hours do you gamblers think are more appropriate to spend while gambling?
It depends on the player's preference, his money, and his enjoyment there's no rule when it comes to the length of time, it varies for every individual, the most important thing to consider is whether can he afford to lose what he allocates and is he ok and not feeling exhausted when he logs out.

Quote
Some people will say that they will gamble for as long as their deposited money is still not exhausted, while others will say that they will gamble until their urge is satisfied. But I think that it will be exhausting to gamble for a very long time, like more than 6 hours, and it will also cause the gambler to lose more.
I don't think I have gambled more than 2 hours without getting tired (not sure) Grin. I have not actually checked my gambling strength to know how long I can last while gambling; now that I have thought of it, I will try it.

Six hours is exhausting but in physical casinos, some players can play for up to 12 hours and they keep going on, in my case 1 or 2 hours daily is just enough I have a phrase that I strictly follow and so far I'm good doing that, but there are times when I reached 4 hours of playing during the weekend in a card game against my friends, its really about schedule and your motivation, and of course you need to finish gambling feeling good, not exhausted.

So the question again is: how many hours do you gamblers think are more appropriate to spend while gambling?

There's no specific time that is meant for us to enjoy gambling as long as we are having tun in it and not leaving other things unattended to, this is all about oir priority and time schedule or the way we get engaged which i believe is different from each others, as far as we can afford to spend more time while gambling, then we can do so, it's such a thing that pleases us and we will not end up being regretting for taking longer with gambling, fun should have no limit as long as we are free to have the entire period for gambling without being affected.
Time management is always advisable but in reality, the moment you are enjoying playing you'll forget about the time and it works faster seriously.
Gambling can consume you the whole day without even realizing it, so make sure to be more observant with time and know your priorities during that day.
Always have your reminder alarm with your phone so you won't forget other important things. For me, spending at least 3 hours in gambling is already enough to satisfy yourself, but if you lose early then better to leave right away.

Depends on the gambler for sure. Some would be fine with 3 to 4 hrs and some would go the whole day playing. However if this concerns addiction then it makes sense to say that longer exposure makes a gambler more prone to it but it doesn't guarantee the relationship to ALL gamblers simply because of our differences. Some would still be able to safeguard themselves from addiction by limiting their bets and amount they would be engaging every time they will gamble but unfortunately, more gamblers are struggling to quit or at least apply self discipline on their betting habits.
So the question again is: how many hours do you gamblers think are more appropriate to spend while gambling?
So it's like this, in the area where I live currently, young and old people are addicted to slot gambling, what we generally mention is chips, some of them play slot gambling using real money, This phenomenon has become a serious problem for the government to deal with the problem of slot addiction.

Talking about time, I saw some people playing slots from morning till night, not knowing whether they had problems when they came home or not, what was certain was that they gambled without considering the time, playing slot gambling without taking into account the time, this doesn't just happen in one place, on average I see things like that in the area where I live.

The point is: the time spent gambling, in my opinion depends on individual awareness.
Awareness and availability. Some people are only gambling after their off shift times but still prone to addiction. Maybe it would be better to say that the time we spend in gambling won't determine what would be better for us but rather our mindset and intention of why we are betting. Bigger urge to win and get rich instantly, regardless of the amount of time will be used, will still be bad for us, gamblers.

This totally depends on your busy days and your overall physical health. To be honest I can't last more than 3 hours sitting at office chair looking at my 34 inch monitor to gamble. My back is killing me after that. But in overall I feel like gambling after breakfast can be lot more beneficial if you slept well the day before it. I understand when people say they like to live at nights so they feel free to gamble at midnight... But I think its actually the best time of day for you to rest properly. If you gamble through smartphone with minor effort, it may be okay for hour but it is tiring when you gamble whole night.
Physical well-being is often overlooked in this but I think it's negligible since it's an obvious thing for you to not do any kind of gambling if you're not feeling well. Your work schedule is definitely important though, it's something that you need to look out for when you're gambling, unless you do the kind where you dedicate a schedule to just gamble which in a busy I think is difficult to do, then you might be able to find a way to make your gamble work with your schedule but I do agree that the time for gambling varies per person.

The answer here is a case-to-case basis since gambling depends on the budget of the person.

Let us answer your question- if a person spends like one (1) hour of gambling vs a person who spends six (6), the latter has more likeliness to spend given the timeframe of the gambling act. Though there are still factors that must be considered (e.g. type of game played, amount of bets, etc.), it is still the person who spends more time on gambling that has the likelihood to spend more in the process.

......

While I do agree with some points you have raised, the all-encompassing answer here is depending on the budget of the gambler.

Naturally, a person who has allocated a certain amount for gambling has an innate timeframe for his games- which is until he/she has exhausted such allocated amount for it.

This is the reason on why I heavily recommend that gamblers should set aside an allocated/specific amount of money while they gamble to prevent any over-expenditure on their budget.

First of all, I will like to make reference to this part of your post, let's stop making gambling look like it's a money losing venture only, people still win in gambling regardless of the fact that, it's not really that common, or that most people this days seem more comfortable discussing their loses in gambling than their wins.

So, in gambling, there is the potential to win just say way there is the potential to lose, and the more time one spends gambling, also represents how much chances they have to either win or lose, it's not just about losing alone..
So, I implore us all to always try as much as possible to stop making one sided comments when it comes to the issue of gambling, it paints gambling like something no one should ever engage in, and what even baffles me the more about this, is that, those who make gambling look like something no one should ever indulge in, are all wearing and promoting a casino through their signature ad.

Anyways, with the above sorted, I would like to say that, actually, its not right to spend too much time gambling, for when we do so, we usually do not know when we slip away from just having fun to chasing money, or chasing our loses if we lost good amount at the time or period we were playing just to have fun, I am saying this from a person experience actually.

As much as spending more time gambling opens one up to opportunity of winning a good amount of money, it also opens one up to potentially losing more than he or she had bargained for.
So, in general, it's important we learn to keep our gambling activities moderate and modest, to avoid over gambling, which could lead to several other gambling related problems.

I never played more than 1 hour in one session because i mostly blow my account this an hour, or I feel tired after playing for an hour.
and it's true that after playing for long time we lose more, because our mindset changes and betting pattern changes and we lose more and more,
If I will be winning those 1 hour then I can play more. until i  start to lose more often and lose everything then i stop playing.
The one hour limit is quite good, but when you keep winning, you will increasingly forget when to stop. I think some people must have experienced this when gambling and it really makes people happy and addicted. But unfortunately, in contrast to winning, there are also some people who feel they have to get more results when they have lost too much, so their concern is not about ending gambling but instead continuing until the money runs out. This goes back to the pattern of gambling that we are used to and most will definitely go too far to the brink of being able to achieve something that is quite impossible for them to achieve. So the solution is that when we feel that the time we have spent is sufficient and is not producing results, we have to stop and start again at a different time.

Changing the context is typical here at gambling board #tbt Topic

Read and research one of the most important topics when you are going to dedicate yourself to this world of betting, so before thinking about how much time you are going to dedicate, you should be sure if you do it for fun or long time in the world of betting.

Therefore the answer is not in the hours we dedicate, it is in what we do in each bet and how we have matured our ability to understand that result.

Instead of controlling your time to gamble, it's better to control the money you want to spend in gambling.

Gambling too long do give a problem since it makes you become lazy or late to complete your task/duty, but at least it doesn't make you become poor or have financial difficulty. While spending too much will create many problems.

Would agree to this since sometimes we cannot control on how much time we spend on gambling sites since there are times that we really enjoy playing. But what we need to think about is our spending  since for that we can form a discipline that we should not surpass the amount limit we set. Also that's how gambling became stressful especially if we can't control our finances then we lost a lot.

Unlike if those we can make our sessions long with minimal losses since we are in total control on our bet size also the capital we spend then for this we can provably enjoy gambling and forget about those stressful feeling of being a total loser. But we make sure to gamble only on our free time so that we could not miss our daily obligations that needed to attain especially or jobs or daily task at home.

from my experience, there are many factors that influence how long gamblers stay in gambling and most important thing is that it usually all depends on the desires and goals of each gambler.

I often place bets beforehand on slot game, poker and roulette. usually I spend 1 hour to bet on one of these games and it all depends on situation if losing streak I will stop rather than force a bet it better the budget I have to bet next day but if winning streak comes I once spent about 3 hours on a game roulette But as you said, the longer you gamble, the more you lose.
this assumption makes sense because the longer you stay in one of the games, the house edge will beat the gamblers.

but for now, after I feel bored of betting on casino game for at least 10-15 minutes, I feel bored and choose to bet on sports betting without having to waste too much time and choose to do a side job.

The time a gambler should spend while gambling differs per gambler. We know the elasticity of all our actions in life. A person who enjoys video games can stay up to 5-6 hours playing GTA. Gambling works the same way, I prefer a roulette game, it works in a way that I'd spend a good time playing the game, especially when on a good bankroll. Things do change according to the amount of money we own, but the games we enjoy on slots are very addicting because they require not much calculation. However, if a gambler on his leisure chooses to spend time and money gambling, he wouldn't need to bother about time, as he has some left. Hence, it all depends on the schedule of the gambler. Some may get tired along the line, it's true, as gambling takes up brain power and humans can easily get tired after spending time on screen. The players who can stay longer time like 6 hours, need to understand how to split their money while gambling.

The answer to Op's question depends on the amount of money the gambler is ready to lose while gambling. If gambling happened to be a free game that doesn't require money. Most gamblers will gamble at least 5 hours a day. But people may not get addicted to it. Somehow the money we spend while gambling helps in controlling the time, then facilitates addiction. It's hard to comprehend for a layman, but, while money controls time, emotions get affected due to the loss of money. The time a player spends gambling doesn't affect his thinking, but the money. So, some gamblers may have the time, yet no money to continue playing. And another gambler with lots of money to take him 5 hours on gambling, but no time to enjoy his habit. Those who get tired along the line and stop may have been gambling for days and need some rest.
Like a roulette player, someone who plays GTA for hours. Personal - some are night owls, others early birds. Crucial part? Self-awareness. Gamblers must notice patterns and adjust their play. This is clever and necessary for control. You're right about elasticity and finances. Money controls gaming time, but it's a double-edged sword. It can limit or fuel addiction. Gambling should be fun, not profitable. Money loss and emotions generate a tangled web that affects judgment. Responsible gambling requires betting what one can afford to lose.

The gambling time-money paradox is fascinating. Gamblers with time but no money or vice versa face a unique challenge. This emphasizes balance. A healthy approach to gaming is setting times and budgets. It remains a hobby, not a requirement. Like salt, too little gambling is dull and too much destroys the taste. Balance is important.

Gambling have no time but as long as you have the money to gamble and at same time you are not using borrowed money or someone's money to gamble, I think you can stay until you are satisfied.
But speaking the truth, the more you stay at a gambling center or a casino hall the more you risk your money and your self, so the best options are for one to schedule hime or her selfs, like give your self a time to gamble, you must not gamble all the whole hours (24 hours per day).
But for me, I only gamble if the money I am with is still remaining, however, I must not lose in gamble, some time I might win but if I done win, I just have to give my self a time, like an hour or just 30 minutes, so when that time is done, I just live, the next time I come back again, it only helps like this when you are at a losing stage.
If you re losing and you haven't win (not even 1 our of 15 or 20) just give it a break and come back letter, you will start winning (it works and I don't know how).

In my opinion, this also depends on the person, because they can gamble for quite a long time even if they start with small capital, because they can play well and make the money or balance they have increase and not decrease quickly. On the other hand, those who start with large capital can spend time gambling quickly because every bad round makes the money or balance they have run out quickly, because like anything, in my opinion, everything can change from one moment to another, and no one can. predicting each round clearly or precisely, and also with discipline this influences this, where people who have discipline in my opinion will have a set time limit, win or lose they will still play within the time limit that has been set.

This is different from people who gamble but don't have the discipline, maybe they will spend a lot of time gambling and also a lot of money gambling, because they don't have set limits and don't have the discipline. especially with slot gambling, which usually can make someone only focus on the spin, and they ignore many other things. What is clear is that we should not let gambling make us blind to other things, because that would be sad. Cry

If it was casino games, then I've never spent more than an hour lately. I used to go for maybe 2-3 hrs in the past but anything past that is either I just burn out or that I don't have any money left to play with. I honestly don't think there's any sense to spending more than an hour or two to playing, like unless I guess you're playing with someone which makes it a lot more interesting. Even if I say that gambling is fun, it's not exactly something I'd spend more hours on compared to playing something like RPG games alone. Not to mention I don't have the money for that.

The time differ for every gambler. It depends on the kind of game that you are gambling on and how much are you staking on each game. If it is a live match, then one would need a long period of time for those games to come to past. On the other hand, if it is a casino game, the amount that you want to use to gamble and how much you are willing to stake on each game is what will depend the hours that you use to gamble.

I have a gambling budget for the week and if I am playing in a casino based game like dice or black jack, the moment my funds for the day is over, I stop gambling but I put a time of two hours as my limited time, so that even when I am in profit, I can still quit to avoid being carried away with gambling, because how long that you spend on your gambling activities will determine, how soon you will get addicted.
