For build and maintain a dice site like primedice you need at least 50 bitcoins. Some for the hot wallet and some for the promotions, some also for creating the dice sites. But if you want opening a gambling site like sportsbook, it will cost more but the future of sports book is more better than on dice site.

I think 300BTC are enough here we go for details:
1. Hosting cost: about 50 bitcoins maybe it is too high cost but you must make sure the website is not down while there are many users who visit it.
2. Programming and design cost: 50 bitcoin you must be looking for people who can do programming and design with one.
3. Promotion cost: 100 bitcoin in my opinion the most much take out the gambling is for promotion.

We are here just make a random speculation , noone of the real gambling site owner speaking up here.
To make an explanation and clarification at least , so yeaaa this is just speculation and maybe an estimation.

Some people start earning through gambling by just spreading their referral link and some sort of 'strategy' for that gambling site. Creating your bitcoin gambling site will cost you a lot of time and money.

I would guess that you'll need 20btc just for all the hosting, programming, design, and advertising. It would be better if you did hire a professional programmer/designer because people don't want to play on poorly-designed gambling sites. Poorly-designed gambling sites just look like a scam to me and it's not exciting to play there.

I guess your bankroll should be around 50btc. It's a huge amount all and all so you should definitely look for investors.

Mostly this is the right price of starting a dice site so usually 49 BTC will go to the bankroll and 1 BTC for the dice script. And it will still depend on how you will handle to build up your site by using your own skill in programming or by hiring someone.

You need a starting capital of course for the advertising but if you can code your own gambling website then you are going to just think all about how it will become famous and it will play by people and security website is really hard you need to analyze those what you need in one website.

you can even find some investors who can help you with the initial funds and then start with a much smaller amount and build your site first and then little by little make it bigger and bigger.

which means more money, and more advertising with that profit you make and returning the investors funds with a decent ROI.
