I think about 12 BTC for making bitcoin gambling website, 3 bitcoin for promotion the website, 3 bitcoin for capital include website and scrypt maintenance. And The other coins for reserve, on your website of gambling.

How much does it cost to build and maintain a website like primedice (for example)?

Hosting,programming,design and advertising costs?

I have an idea about a brand new bitcoin gambling game which will be completely different than the dice sites,

but i don`t know from where to start.

I don`t know if this is the right place to ask,but can anyone answer?
Creating gambling website is not that easy you need to have full knowledge on how to run this kind of website and maintaining the balance is much important for this all in all approximately you will need atleast 10btc or more to start building a gambling website which is much more better and much reliable.

I don't have an idea either, but maybe you need to cover up ranging 20 - 100 bitcoins depending on how much is going to be on your bankroll.

And just exclude the fee for the domain fees and other fees to start up for building your website. You must focus to your capital and I think the amount declared is enough.

But I think there are some gambling sites that just have small amount of capital they are just rolling their capital and getting some attraction to investors for it.

Did you have a capital to start build a gambling site?? if yes you can ask for someone to help you about it or why didn't you think to invest your money on gambling site. that's way more easy to earn money.

I don't think you really need 100bitcoin to start. 50 BTC will probably do. Set 30 - 35 BTC as your bankroll and the remaining
for the program, website, security, advertisements and promotions.

Finding a good developer/coder that you can trust would be the main point(after capital).

As for whales wiping out your bankroll, you can always set a max bet amount like .01, .05, or .5 . It's okay to start small after all.
This way, you won't have to worry about your bankroll getting wiped out by whales. You can always raise it afterwards once the site has stabilized.

The thing is that you need to be able to let people cash out if they have a big win in the early days of the casino.

If you don't have a lot of capital behind your website, you can always lower the max bet and max multiplier to make sure you never have to pay out more than you have. This may turn away some people who like to bet big though.

It's going to cost shitload of money, advertising probably is the one that will cost you the least and programming and security will cost you the most. Without forgetting the fact that you should have at least 100 BTC (your wallet to pay users on your website) , that assuming that you want to start a very small website. It's probably better to contact Stunna or other gambling websites owner. I wouldn't recommend starting one personally as there is too much competition and It's not as easy as It sounds.

100 btc for starting gambling site? wow its a big amount for me, but perhaps it was appropriate for the profit that we can get from gambling site. hm i think it will give ROI for short term, i wish i can have that 100 btc, i will become the rich person in my city  Grin
100 bitcoin is really such a big amount, but i think you can also start a little lower category of casino, it will depend on the material use in in casino their cast and so many other expenses.

I think better to have even 3 btc for small business before you can start a big casino site so that you can experience and monitor how you spend and how you can make a good profit..  because you will lose in the future.. if you have no experience in the first time..

I honestly do not know how much it will cost but I think that it will cost you some nice amount of money for sure, its not something you can just do.
Another fact is that you have to invest a lot of in marketing.

If you are just thinking of opening a dice only casino like primedice than you only need dice script which you can also find for free shared under open source in github however some security and bug changes may required. Let me break down my cost estimation;
- script + bug fix + add security features = $500
- Hosting, domain + ssl certificate + anti DDOS = $500 for one year
- paying staff members, server adminstators, paying mods, payout for faucet = $1000 per month
- Starting bankroll (later you can ask investors for site bankroll) = $5000 (may be even more)

So total i think around $7000 to $10,000 may be needed for all of the above and extra few in running different advertising campaigns, i can't estimate the probable profits.

For Developing it will cost you only few bitcoins
Hosting depends on players and traffic.
Advertising 5 BTC
Promos and offers 25 BTC

But for bankroll, estimation can't be given approx too, in long run house edge will increase your bankroll. Yep you are right But if some players got lucky bankroll will be big problem, but you can try for investors for bankroll, If luckily got more investor bankroll problem is solved.

But how do you think you can successfully run a gambling site where many site disappear within few months. Only a few stand for long period

Actually 100btc is too low for me to start a gambling site. Site, advertising, bankroll, and everything you need so 100btc is not enough. Also it cant cover your losses if high roller came into your site even atleast 3 of them. For sure you will got bankrupt.

Creating a gambling site is pretty cheap the problem is you need capital to maintaince a bank roll. It can cost a few BTC to get the design and program up and running but nobody will feel safe depositing money because what if one whale, cleans out everyones wallets?
